For Romney sickness and health care is a game? How little compassion and benevolence he shows. The Bible says that "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" and Romney seems to have an abundance of evilness toward the unfortunate. Some people were insured while they were working but if they have been unemployed, $362 per week in unemployment benefits is not enough to pay $900 per month in COBRA Premiums to keep the insurances. What kind of a president will he be? It seems that he will only represent the top 15% of the population but mostly his friends at the Bohemian Grove Club.

Republicans have been trying not to just come out and admit that their plan is to let tens of millions of Americans go without health insurance, but their obfuscations are having less and less success. Mitch McConnell pretty much admitted it straight out to Ramesh Ponnuru. Mitt Romney has been dancing around it by promising that “individuals with preexisting conditions who have maintained continuous health insurance coverage should be guaranteed the ability to retain coverage.” Note the proviso at the end about maintaining continuous coverage. We’ve actually had a law protecting people who maintain continuous coverage since 1996. It obviously doesn’t do very much.
Greg Sargent notes that Romney’s weasely formulation was penetrated by, of all people, Jay Leno:
So, yeah, Romney’s plan seems to be to hide behind the “continuous coverage” caveat and hope nobody notices he is basically defending the status quo. As Frank Rich notes, if Jay Leno is breaking down your evasions, they may not hold up as well as you would hope.

If I go uncovered for years, get sick and then expect to get insurance at the same rate as someone who's always had insurance? I don't think they should be turned away, but I think they should fall into a higher rate than someone who is continually covered. I also think there should be catastrophic policies available that would cover Hospital stays, ER visits or other higher items that could be a huge impact. We do need a change, but Obamacare just isn't it.
Right because the GOP show up in the emergency room health care plan works so much better at saving money. Oh yeah and that ear ache mom took you into the doctors when you were a year old that you don't remember is a reason to stop your coverage right in the middle of your heart valve replacement because you didn't tell the insurance company about that ear ache. Yeah that works real good for the consumer.
I had a police for years. It said I could never be treated again for a ganglion of the wrist. I was a very thin person, and my baby was a little butter ball. I received the injury from lifting him. I actually got no treatment for it in the first place. I just mentioned it to my doctor. I also never had one again in my life. Isn't this a little stupid? The Insurance company declared it a pre-existing condition.....good thing I did not mention any other aches and pains.

policeIt is contradictory that person is mandated to be born but it is not mandated to maintain health insurance with the help of the government which is paid with taxes paid be everyone. And a government which constitution was written to serve the citizens. So now the citizens have to be born just to follow a constitution which is supposed to trump the states laws but does not. When ever there is a conflict between states laws and the constitution, the constitution is supposed to take first place. There are other things that are mandated. If we own a car, we have to buy insurance for it. So, if we have a body which necessarily will get sick, we will need insurance. In other words, a car has more value than our bodies and health? It does not make any sense.
The financial company which finances the auto loan is protected but people are not.

His overall approval rating is 48%, the important number is Independents, which is 43%. Still some time left, and depending on the outcome of Obamacare and other factors it could go up or down. His all time low was just in October of 2011 at 38%.
I've rounded the corner to apathy I'm afraid.
I don't think Romney is the answer either.
I'm ready to just give up. I'm going to enjoy being free while we still have some freedom left.
You can be an Independent and work for improving at least one flaw in the government.......One person like Romney does not have to represent you....We could use some people in office who want to fix things instead of just line their pockets. For God's sake, don't just give up. Have a cause.

It took us decades to get to where we are. Affordable health care for so many. So many have better quality of life now. But its being threatened by the GOP. I read something up above that made me sick to my stomach.the NRA selling hoodies complete with place to carry your gun. How heartless and cold can one group be? To make money off the death of a child is despicable and should be an out rage to all ! America is at a dangerous cross roads and come next year if the gop regain control we will not recognize America!!!!

Captian A. I guess you can say that we are better off with the health care we have tooday. Would I be right in thinking you receive free health care from the government. Why are we mandated to pay taxes so all government past and present employees can have life time health care for them and their spouses while the rest has to pay.
Wrong Johnny, we would be better off if government would get out of the healthcare industry, like we had 50 years ago. We need government to get out of trying to regulate the healthcare business. When government get involved, costs go up!
Retirements, whether private or public, have been earned by the retirees and have nothing to do with the government's attempt to control the industry! Just sayin'

I DVR'd the Ed Show today & have been watching the coverage of the Trayvon Martin case. Just saw the section on Hannity ~ I AM SO UPSET!!! 1) Let's face it. If George was black & Trayvon was white, Hannity would be singing a MUCH different tune!. I am shocked, really shocked that FOX news would stoop this low. I know they're not fair & balanced; have been watching them (on occasion) for years (gotta know what the enemy's saying). But this is beyond belief. That they would make this a right/left issue & side with the killer rather than simply speak out for justice as Trayvon's parents are doing is unreal. There really aren't words to describe my disgust with them.
2) Many kids ~ good young kids ~ pose for pix on Facebook "giving the finger" to the camera. Stupid? Yeah. Does that make them bad or does it justify them being shot to death? I think we all know the answer ~ even FOX news knows. It's a part of being a kid.
3) I'm almost 65 (in Sept.) & I HAVE TATTOOS!!! OMG! I must be horrible! Well, my grandkids and my great~granddaughter think I'm pretty cool & a good grandmother/grt~grandmother. They have to behave when they're here, be polite, honest, respectful of others, etc. ~ all the things my mid~west parents taught me to be.
FOX News should be ashamed of themselves, all of them, not just Hannity. My God, how do they sleep at night?
