Right-wingers can't stand that the Trayvon Martin nightmare is a national news story so they are lashing out at MSNBC. Ed will take Bill O’Reilly and Bernard Goldberg to school, with help from Dr. James Peterson, Director of Africana Studies and Associate Professor of English at Lehigh University.
It was an explosive day of testimony at the U.S. Supreme Court over President Obama’s health care law. Ed will get the latest on that from Jamie Raskin, Senior Fellow at People For the American Way, American University Constitutional Law Professor, MD state Senator.
The Supreme Court’s decision on the health care law will have a major impact on women’s health. Nicole Lamoureaux, Executive Director of the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, will have that, plus Rush Limbaugh sticks his foot in his mouth again in the war on women.
Middle class Mitt Romney has got some big plans for his California beach home, including an elevator for his cars. Ed shows us what Mr. One Percent plans to do.

Whom, Not sure if you understand that the same people that are currently paying for medical services for the 57 million that don't have Insurance will be paying for their coverage under Obamacare. Do you really think this is about Medical Coverage? Do you think the 47 Million people on Food Stamps will either buy Health Insurance or Pay a Penelty? Obamacare is simply forcing 10 million people that can afford Insurance but are currently free not to purchase it, to purchase it so more free services can be provided to the other 47 Million.
This is about Government Power and Redistribution of Wealth, nothing else.
A few week ago in a discussion on Obamcare, I asked if the Government could force people to by Chevy Volts. I was told it was a ridiculous analogy. Seems a few Supreme Court Justices saw it as a good analogy. If Obamacare is upheld, the Federal Government will be free to impose anything on the Citizen. If we are to survive as a Free Nation the Supreme Court must strike it down. If not stand by for more Federally Mandated purchases, make room for the Volt.

also ABC says one of the investigators wanted to charge zimmerman with manslaughter but they said there was not enough evidence. Perhaps his daddy is the missing key if this is true.

It is the DA that brings the charges. We need to know more info as to if the investigator called and had a discussion with the DA or not.
I think we need to remember that to JUST arrest someone is NOT permitted no matter what. The police and the investigators including the DA need to agree in the end. For only what is released there really is no evidence that says GZ did not defend himself.
The facts will come out but need time for a full investigation I think and not emotions to just "get him" for the sake of vengeance.
Remember that we have had some other cases like the DUKE players that also were in a seemingly bad situation
Can anyone say re reg? Here is a clue citizens can not run around playing cop just because they have a CCW permit. Nor can anyone yell defense after they start a fight and find out that the victim they choose was tougher then they thought.

He should get a clue. The Soviet Union passed into history on Dec. 25, 1991. It's not coming back. In fact, many repukes would dig how Russia is currently run. A 13% flat tax, abortion is outlawed, and Church/State separation is virtually nonexistant. Repukes would be creaming their jeans if that situation existed here.
Russia is controlled by a conservative govt, but that doesn't mean they're going to agree with us. They live in an entirely different "neighbourhood", so they are going to have different foreign policy priorities than we do. It's to be expected.
I view our relationship with Russia similar to our relationship with France; friendly antagonism. It's healthy for our world and helps to keep the world in balance.

Hmm... Fox Noise complains about coverage of Trayvon Martin, yet they covered the Natalee Holloway & Casey Anthony cases until they were banned from Aruba, and even 'pre-condemned' Casey Anthony! There have been many missing teenagers over the years, including those who were later found dead, but covered the 'Beautiful Blonde' (Rich) white girl who came up missing, after going to Aruba with friends to party. There have been many children who have died due to negligence by parents, but few got the coverage the Casey and Caylee Anthony case did. Do I even need to mention the JonBenét Ramsey case?
Some cases are higher profile than others. Some cases have evidence of Justice Denied or a Miscarriage of Justice, and involve issues beyond the crimes themselves. And yes, Network Executives make decisions based on public interest, and/or to try to find Justice and 'The Truth'. Also, as always with Commercial Networks, Ratings are at least a factor.
FOX, get over yourselves! (Hmm, I wonder if their Ratings are slipping, with their viewers going to MSNBC?)

Wow, Zimmerman is a Hispanic and a Registered Democrat, that would have been arrested except for the inaction or incompetence of the Public Sector Union Police. I bet Libs are having a real problem with all this.

This is not a Race issue. I wish every one would please stop saying it is RACE. My Kids are Half Filipino and my Wife Filipina. I am a White guy that loves people, but I do understand profiling. My kids workout at the Gym with my wife and I 5 days a week. They do not wear baggy clothes and we do not curse in our home. How did this kid get a hold of weed and why would someone let him out after dark walking alone. This is a clear altercation. Now, Zimmerman should go to jail for killing him and that was wrong, but I think what really happened is that he was protecting himself and Zimmerman shot him in self defense. Zimmerman is Hispanic folks...and he should do time, but it's not Race. God Bless the Martin Family.

Where the Father made the mistake ( wink, wink ) was he called his son white and Hispanic, there is no such race as Hispanic, Hispanic translated just means Spanish speaking person, usually from south America and Central America. Now here is the Kicker Zimmerman has never said what race he thinks he belongs to, his father was just telling people his heritage to distract away from the racial aspects of the crime because what Zimmerman did could fall into the hate crime act taking it out of local hands and putting the case into federal hands, Daddy the Judge knows laws better then Fox news talking heads and their followers.

Vonmax, Liberals see every thing in terms of Race, they don't see people, they see Race. Home foreclosures is a Race thing to them, as is the high unemployment rate. The failing education system is a Race issue for Liberals. Every thing they think is wrong with our society is because of Race. I wish ED SCHULTZ would stop yelling that GZ was stalking TM. I just do not see the facts to support this. The 911 tapes do not seam to show ANY contact with TM. In fact when I listen to them I hear him giving the Police the direction TM is going. He is on his way back to his truck and I never hear TM within any range of the phone while in contact with 911.

Another words I refuse to accept the fact that Zimmerman was stalking Martin when all Zimmerman was doing was following and watching Martin who was doing nothing other then walking down the sidewalk talking to his girl friend on his cell phone. Why that is suspicious behavior. Yeah because no one would walk down a sidewalk on a cell phone unless they were up to no good.
He was stalking the kid and he kill him. The 911 call support this and he is a racist their no question about it, Fox new is a racist network. There will do anything to spread lies.
Having Jerry Springer weigh in on this great and true commercial is a new low even for msnbc. On second thought maybe not. Springer is better fit for msnbc then Sharpton.
In the midst of all this horror and tragedy, I think there is an irrational over-reaction against "stand you ground" and "the castle doctrine". The solution is to clarify these laws, not overturn them.
The right to self defense is fundamental. The State should never coerce any citizen into putting themselves in danger, and forcing people to flee from clearly violent, life threatening attacks does exactly this. A posture of retreat almost always makes you an easier target. The logic of "stand your ground" is not that you must do so, but that you should not be coerced by the State "rules of engagement" to put yourself in danger by only having that option. Most of us, most of the time, will choose to disengage, but the common error in thinking by the irrational opponents of these laws is to demand a duty to retreat as the only course of action.
Worse yet Ed, Melissa, Al, Lawrence and others seem to conveniently overlook the ongoing case of a black retired bus driver who shot dead an Iraqi war vet in front of his daughter. Where was the outrage against that shooter? How credible is his case for self defense as he in fact invokes the "stand your ground" doctrine? You guys are "cherry picking" the data!
Now Anderson Cooper produces a witness that saw GZ on the ground being beaten by TM. The witness says that it was GZ calling for help, not TM. This witness, who was not alone at the time either, went to call 911 and heard the shot that killed TM. The witness returned to the window to see TM dead on the ground.
I'm pretty sure that deadly force was not really warranted in either of these events, but the issue is how to clarify the triggering threat level. I'm also pretty sure that there was flawed, even reprehensible behavior on the part of both these individuals and on the part of both individuals involved in the playground shooting.
The public interest would be better served though if all these breathlessly squawking, agenda driven, MSNBC fools would back off a bit and start letting serious investigators do a better job than the Sanford PD!

And you missed the most important detail, Dooley is in a court of law to prove his case to a judge and jury. Whereas Zimmerman is not, all you proved was how stand your ground is applied differently for black then it is applied for non black people.
Missed the point did I? What part of "ongoing case" and "he ... invokes the stand your ground doctrine" don't you understand?
As to racial bias, many observers of these two cases see more of a difference in the legal machinery of the two jurisdictions than in racial attitudes. So, yes, GZ should stand trial too, but the situation is not as one sided as the African American community is claiming.
And again tonight, Ed ignores the witnesses account brought up by Anderson Cooper and focuses on all sorts of wild conjecture about what a funky surveillance video shows.
