We’ll be broadcasting the show from the Great Dane from 7 to 8pm local time (CDT) and then we'll be shooting our next series of "Lean Forward" promotional spots at the Cooper’s Tavern after the show.

The issues with the Trayvon Martin case are many and all troubling. Cover it because it shows something all American need to witness. It will brings us together not divide us. Protect the children. Demand better law enforcement. Confront the trends in legislation that serves private special interest over public interest.

From the Republicans there is a lot of hype about ObamaCare. The issue is the
mandate ie a penalty if you don’t have health insurance. Republicans feel the
“government” can not make citizens get health insurance. Well think about this
fact: THE “GOVERNMENT’ MAKE YOU GET CAR INSURANCE EVEN IF YOU DON’T OWN A CARSPECIFICALLY IF YOU HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE. If your insurance lapses guess what you pay a penalty (fee). Part of your insurance premiums include “uninsured motorist” ie drivers who don’t have insurance.
Now that is a good point.
Car insurance mandates are state laws not federal. It would have been a good point if you hadn't missed the point entirely.

The argument against what you posted is, if you don't have a car, why do you have a driver;s license? All states, as far as I know, have official state IDs which are just like a driver's license for the purpose of identification. They just can't be used to drive a car... After I wasn't able to drive any more due to medical reasons, the Sec of State allowed me to trade my license for an ID...
If you have a license, that implies you are going to drive - a taxi, a company car, a friend's car, your mother's car... Whatever you drive, whether it belongs to you or not, you still have to buy insurance...
Ed has this one all wrong. This is not about race. It is not about right or left. It is about two individuals who got into an altercation that spun out of control and resuted in a shooting death. There is nothing more obscene that politicizing such an event. Ed's guest tonight from the Huffington Post mistated the facts. Trayvon Martin did not lay for days as a "John Doe". Apparently, Martin had no ID on his person so his body was retained overnight. The following morning, Tracy Martin reported his son missing and police were sent to the Martin home at that time. Much of the evidence from the investigation has not yet been released including testimony of at least one eyewitness to the altercation. That witness says that he saw the two men wrestling on the ground with a man in a red sweater on the bottom and yelling for help. This is consistent with police testimony tha the back of Zimmerman's red sweater was damp covered with grass. Zimmerman's nose was also broken. Why the rush to judgement Ed? Why play the race or right wing cards without any substantiation whatsoever? Why not let the numberous investigations conclude before throwing gasoline on another fire. You must be more interested in your ratings than getting at the truth. This is the worst kind of yellow journalism. You seem to be pretty good at that. It hasn't done much for your ratings though......

The police had Trayvon's cell phone or did Zimmerman take it. Its not rocket science its plan to see he was talking to his girl friend at the time Zimmerman was stalking Trayvon. I say maybe they should resume the body and see if there is any DNA to prove what Zimmerman is saying. Or did he have someone to beat him up or did he do it to himself And so What? if he refused to obey orders to stay in his truck he should have gotten just what he deserve what he got. He was probably listening to hate radio while smoking weed. and felt like he needed to kill him a black person.

I am one of those chronically ill and therefore stuck at home folks and I can tell you that listening to you is one of the ways I stay sane . Plus , it's fun. If you are ever near my provincial pesthole ( ok , it is kind of lovely in the warm months ) I hope you will allow this retired cook to feed you ( and your entourage ? ) a piece of pie . Ed, when the Republicans talk about social security being a problem, why is it that no one mentions that if we're receiving social security, it's only because we've paid for it. I've been working since I'm 16 years old. I am 58 now and am still working full time. That means that I've been paying for my future social security benefits for 42 years. How about all those people that have paid social security, and have died before collecting any benefits. Where is that money? Why is social security such a mess? I remember not too long ago that we had a surplus in the social security account. I also remember money being taken out of the social security account. How about someone put that money back? When I voiced my concern, someone told me that I don't have to worry about this if the Republican's have their way because the cutoff will be age 55. That did not make me feel any better. That means that someone paying for this benefit for the last 39 years, in good faith, would get screwed.
Social Security is not in trouble its has over 2 Trillion in the bank. Republicans been trying to get rid SS scene it become law. Wall Street wants your money they don't want you to have it. That is why they keep raising the age limit so your can die before your can claim your money.
Social Security does not have 2 trillion in the bank. It has 2 trillion in IOU's on it's books. The system has been paying out more than it collects since 2010.
Although the Social Security system has been regularly taking in billions for decades and socking it into its Trust Fund just like a normal pension plan, Congress has just as regularly been draining the money out for current spending. All of the money collected from every American's paycheck throughout all of our careers is now gone. In its place are not stocks, bonds, real estate, and oil and gas partnership. In its place are IOUs - $2.5 Trillion dollars worth of IOUs.
Congress spent it.
Because when you put the government in charge of managing anything, it always becomes a mess. I don't know why you're surprised.
All the money has been taken out and spent. To put it back they have to get it from somewhere first.
Well, we could just borrow it from China. That seems to be how we solve all our other spending problems......
I hope Ed will spend some of the $200,000 he recieved from the unions last year localy when he is in Wisconson.

So, people in need of those programs suffer while the 'bagger govenors give out tax breaks to their campaign contributors, then turn around and use money from the federal goverment for aid to hide their deficits.
