I have a theory on Rush Limbaugh. I never listened to him other than excerpts on MSNBC. Having said that, those who listen to Rush's show would not vote for Obama even if he were replaced by, say, Mike Huckabee. Not would they change their vote to democrat if he went off the air forever. If I am fairly typical of democrats, we don't care what he has to say and never did! A poll released by Fairleigh Dickinson University on Monday found that people who get their news from Fox News know significantly less about news both in the U.S. and the world than people who watch no news at all.

In a survey of 612 New Jersey natives, Fox News fans flunked questions about Egypt and Syria when compared with people who don't watch the news. Fox viewers were 18-points less likely to know that Egyptians toppled their government and 6 points less likely to be aware that Syrians have not yet overthrown theirs.

Searching for the truth, in this case, is pointless. What might be the outcome of the sudden discovery that in fact something was different on the original? At the most, it might enhance the aura of "otherness" that the birthers want to attach to Obama.

You fail to take into account that the POTUS has been in office a few years now. He has a record to run on that supersedes any shadow over the circumstances of this mans birth. It has no bearing on our ability to decide whether he is deserving of another term.

It is his self hatred that will bring about his down fall. Like most conservatives they have a self image that they can't not live up to, they know this, so they live lives of self hatred and instead of seeking help they tend to either self medicate or find scape goats to blame for their failures in life. They set themselves up with the old myth that they can be anything they set their minds to, refuse to acknowledge that reality is because they weren't born into the top 2% the odds are stacked against them succeeding at being more the a Joe the Plumber and like Joe/Sam, they look for someone to blame for holding them back, with most it is Government, if only they didn't have to pay taxes everything would be fine because they could save those tax dollars up and be rich. They refuse to understand that it isn't taxes at fault it is the wealthy they worship that causes their problems, which drive everything they need to live on up in price. They just can't grasp that the wealthy did very little labor to get their wealth, most inherited their wealth and the few who have managed had all kinds of support and breaks they will never see. But gosh darn it they are Americans and they are exceptional so they deserve it, only its all brag and no reality.
