When he signed the NDAA on December 31, he accompanied his signature with a signing statement that let Americans know that, just because he authorized the indefinite detention of Americans didn’t mean he thought it was right.
That Obama added a signing statement to the bill shows that it was another Bill that would have made a presidential veto worthless.
If he didn't think it was right...he should have vetoed it. However, when you think Obama can do no wrong...you can throw logic and common sense out the window....

Ed, I'm one of those from the right and I at times agree on a little with what you say, but your argument is way off here. I will agree Rush's comments were uncalled for, but do you or anyone on the left remember what Bill Maher called Sarah Palin? That's right, a @!$%#! I don't remember your show doing a segment on the vile things that Mr. Maher throws at people and continues to do so. He even says he will never apologize, yet Rush is put out there simply because he is Rush. Until you come down on Bill Maher, you have no business criticizing Rush or anyone else for that matter.
Aren't we living in the world of double standards? What would happen should Rush or Maher make similar comments about the Blacks?
No we are living in a world filled with people who can not understand words they use nor are they able to understand word definitions because of lack of education. Rush has made numerous attacks on blacks and most of them have been 100% racist, he also said homophobic things about gays and he is constantly attacking women as well, Rush uses hate speech in order to stir up fear, anger and superiority of conservatives like himself.
Now what Mahers does is point out the funny stupidity of the human animal, not to create fear, anger or superiority in listeners, but to show that humans are funny, silly animals who take themselves to serious. What bugs the right about it all is Mahers points out how the average tea bagging republican is not exceptional or superior then anyone else. When Mahers uses strong words to point out the level of stupidity of a person, which he has done with women, blacks, religious people, he is not saying everyone in that group are stereo types, he is just calling stupid people stupid.

Had our State Representative speak at our Lions Luncheon today. We have 1,200 people moving into our state each day. Seems we are the current promised land. We had to take $3billion (of our $12b.) out of our "Rainy Day Fund" this year, already looking to return $1billion before September. We are now the 12th largest economy in the world, to bad the rest of the country cannot figure it out our secret (limited government)!

What they don’t understand is that their authority over women rights was lost at the same time that the world rejected the ‘Right of Kings’ to rule. The ‘Right of Kings’ was lost in the American War of Independence followed by the French Revolution.
This loss in authority continues to expand when ever a country turns to democracy and gives their people their unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

First, I do not accept your claim of authority in this matter. You do NOT have the right to impose your beliefs upon anyone else.
Second, there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution or any State Constitution gives you right to impose your beliefs on me or my wife. But when leaders in government (Federal or State) try to try to impose your religious belief on us, they are trying to take away our right to freedom of religion. This is totally unacceptable and un-Constitutional.
When I entered the Army I swore to defend and protect the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Nothing has released me from this pledge, but I never expected to have to defend our Constitution against our elected officials, but defend it I will.
This Republican assault against the rights of women is a total outrage. This is from a proud Republican who has been forced out of the party by these ultra-right winged zealots trying to force their religious beliefs upon the rest of us.
