The rigged redistricting is also screwing a lot of people, i.e. Dennis Kucinich defeat, we Dems could ill afford to lose. Ohio made it so that 2 Dems had to compete for the one seat left after redistricting thus Rep. Marcy Kaptur winning.

I have the GREAT Rep. Jared Polis as my rep but now after redistricting, have freaking Scott Tipton. Tipton had a town hall in Glenwood Springs last Saturday, scheduled for 2-3 pm. At 11:30 am, he sent an email out to his GOP constituency, moving the event to NOON! This was the THIRD time he's done it. (I'm mad as hell I've tried to capture video for the Sal Pace campaign all 3 times, spent the gas, wasted 3 Saturdays, etc.!) More crap out of the GOP play book; only allow one's own party to attend events so video can't be sent viral, the crowd is friendly, and one never has to hear the massive discontent but rather receive those beloved at-a-boys.

Anyone that claims Rush insults are "entertainment" is admitting that they find those kinds of insults to be entertaining.

I voted last night, and am precinct/caucus delegate for him. Now to win at the Eagle County Assembly 3/15 and then at the State convention! (Charlotte here I come!) :^)

I think republican figures are fearful of Limbaugh. I don't blame them. He can ruin a person with the vitriol he heaps on those with whom he is in disagreement. He takes no prisoners.

Dee: The pressure is on Clear Channel, the Armed Forces Radio Network, etc. to get ride of Rush. I don't think he has much longer, to blather his vitriol on national/international airwaves.

Before I went to caucus last night, I called the affiliate local radio station manager. She told me she'd received so many calls, *screaming* at her, (I was very nice/understanding/asked how she was doing prior). Further, she told me she felt the parent company was going to suspend Rush soon, had no confirmation yet, but the collective at the station itself, wanted him off the first day he ranted.

The thing that the station manager wanted me to encourage all to do, (rather than boycott their local stations, that can't afford the losses/negative publicity), is to file a complaint with the FCC. http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

The FCC will have to act with the massive outrage and complaints being filed. I would encourage ALL who haven't done so already, to file a complaint so we get this bum off the airwaves permanently, (and yes, by regulation). :^)

Feed: I was in the communications field for many years. "The FCC" was, at that time, an active agency over the use of the airwaves. Limbaugh and those like him simply would not have been tolerated. In fact, the FCC would not have to do anything because people like Limbaugh would not be tolerated in any venue, by anyone. His show would have no place to fester. And no one would have ever raised the issue of his "free speech" being violated. The FCC needs to raise it's head on this guy. I have made my complaint to the FCC. That truly is where it needs

to be dealt with, to make it effective.

An Open Letter To Ohio

Dear Ohio,

The country needs your help. I know you like the Boneher. But, instead of sacrificing the country for big oil, could you please vote this guy out of office? I know we’re asking a lot. There is pride in holding the speaker-ship for your state. I get that. But just this once, could you find someone else from your great state to represent 'your' interests. I guarantee the Keystone Pipeline is not in the best interests of Ohio. You can even vote for a Republican, Libertarian, or whatever.

Just... please send a message to congress that we want compromise that benefits the country as a whole; not just the top 1%. If you take out the Boneher I swear I will root for your state sport franchises. Bengals (NFL), Reds (MLB), Browns (NFL), Cavaliers (NBA), Indians (MLB), Rockers (WNBA), Blue Jackets (NHL), Crew (MLS) will forever be known as American teams; for they will always be known as the teams that are from the state that saved America. Please?

I didn't know Republicans were voting for Rush, besides many women agree with Rush. More likely the " Ed Show Staff" has a high percentage of women who feel Rush's comments were directed at them.

Saw CBS "This Morning Show", with Charlie Rose, talking about the Rush Limbaugh scandal. I was disappointed they seemed to sympathetic to Rush for losing sponsors because of his nasty attack on the young Co-ed..... Showed Sara Palin coming to his defense by putting down Obama for saying anything to the young woman who bravely gave testimony in spit of the republicans trying to stop her.

The Republicans maybe afraid of Rush... But I think he works for them as their attack dog. They owe him. If he gets to vicious in an attack, they can just distance themselves from the attack, by not saying anything or may spin the truth to come to his defense. In this case he went over the edge and no amount of spin could save him.... So the Repubs say nothing and hope it goes away soon.

There is a bigger issue, however. Do we want political parties acting like the Mob with hit men that attack and intimidate citizens when they dare to exercise their right to give testimony before congress, or a congressional committee? No American should fear giving their testimony, or being slandered for doing so. No American should feel that by testifying before congress they will be punished with impunity by a political parties hit man like Rush Limbaugh. What has the Republican party become? Are the Republicans using Rush Limbaugh to intimidate and discourage citizens from participating in our democracy when that testimony is not to their liking?

Guess what bothers me most is that no one should be subjected to slander for exercising their participation in our democracy!!

I can't believe the manipulation that has happened in politics going back to the "election" of Bush. The way Bush was elected... Do you remember the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plain, Ambassador Willson's wife? Punishment for Ambassador Willson's Testifiing that the aluminum tubes were not proof of the Weapons Bush so wanted to find to justify his war in Iraque. Outing Valerie Plain was to set an example to not cross what the Bush adminisration wanted. It was outrageous and not the way our system should work. Texas would have had their Primary on Super Tuesday as well, but the State Supreme Court rejected the Redistricting Map because the Legislature and Gov. Perry drew the map so that the Republican Party would get the sole benefit of 4 more seats in the House, when the population growth was almost exclusively due to more Hispanics. Meanwhile Hispanic-dominated districts were condensed so they actually would have lost electoral clout when there should have been 4 more predominantly Hispanic districts. Obvious attempt at stacking their delegates for the Electoral College to the GOP's advantage.

The voter suppression efforts bother me too, for the blatant attempts to disenfranchise groups voters who overwhelmingly tend to vote for the Democrat. Nevertheless, the fact that a lot of female Republicans could very well decide to vote for Obama because of the War on Women, and Romney said he supported the Personhood Amendment that Mississippi defeated last November.

I keep forgetting to comment on this. Newt Gingrich keeps knocking Obama on Algae for fuel. Awhile back I saw a show on the incredible algae farms under water and it is absolutely an energy source! Its sustaniable and we have to look beyond fossil fuels. They will be gone with the dinosaurs in the future. The way to get us off oil is to go full steam ahead on green energy. Notice its the GOP holding on to the past and NO VISION OF THE FUTURE ! There old stale party with no vision of the future! I wish I had wind mill on top of this hill as we seem to always get alot of wind. the Amish up the road have one. I know what you mean,Ted.Back when I had 2 feet to stand on,I worked at the Hazard Food City.I was finishing up the floor with the buffer when this very shy Arab woman asked me for help in finding a type or Gourmet Dark Chocolate.I took her to where the item was,she thanked me and said"Where I come from,I could not even ask this from another man or I would be beaten." I told her that in this country,no one has that right,not even her husband.She thanked me again and checked out.Later that evening I seen her on the local news as her husband had tried to kill her.She looked a mess,but her husband was being led away in handcuffs,charged with attempted murder.He later was convicted & is sitting in the State prison in Eddieville.

Move forward 2 years.( Last Friday)I went into the same store where I used to work and in that same isle was that same woman.She recognized me and then thanked me for telling her what I did.She managed to call 911 for help and the cops nabbed him red handed.She said that she would not be alive today if I hadn't told her what I did.She seemed happier and had a 4 year old daughter with her.I Hope she has a better future than she faced before.I'm glad I helped even a little.

That is an example of the Culture shock you spoke of.Although SE KY is full of Teanderthal Haters,there are some people here that give a damn. I count myself as 1 that does.

I very seldom ever see a lot of the people I used to see as I went through 3 amputations and am now disabled.That incident happened March 2010 and I got very ill May 1 that year and had the first amputation May 6(Ironically it's my birthday).I can't get out of the house very often as I barely have 1/2 of my right heel left.(it was a MRSA Gangrene)I can walk with difficulty using a cane for now.But like my hillbilly fore-bearers,I'm too damned stubborn to lay down & die.Unlike The GOP(Guild Of Perverts) I do answer the question "Am I my brother's or sister's keeper?" GEEKHILLBILLY - That's one hell of a birthday present you got.But now are you sure that your brother / sister aren't your keeper (uh-oh) ?

My sister Terry has help me through my health troubles and she's fighting her 3rd bout of cancer!I think her answer is the same as mine.Now that I can walk somewhat,I help her as much as I can.She has surgery Thursday March 8 at 7:20 AM for removal of some small skin cancers tumors.She has already survived bouts of Uterine and bladder cancer.I'll be there for her

Perhaps we need to think of that a bit differently. How about, "I am my brother's brother/sister"? I think that implies more love and responsibility than the word, "keeper". Can you see that?

I believe we are all our brother's brother/sister. That would eliminate a lot of racism, etc., if we thought of one another as family.
