Here lets take a quick look at just a small sample from these popular liberal mouth peace Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, Matt Taibbi, and Ed Schultz just on what they have said on women on the rihgt and left

During the 2008 election Ed Schultz said on his radio show that Sarah Palin set off a “bimbo alert.” He called Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.” he even attacked the liberal Blogger Kirsten Powers by calling her a “bimbo” for the offense of quoting him accurately in a New York Post column

Keith Olbermann has said that conservative commentator S.E. Cupp should have been aborted by her parents, He called Michelle Malkin a “mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick.” He found it newsworthy to discuss Carrie Prejean’s breasts on his MSNBC show. His solution for dealing with Hillary Clinton, who he thought should drop out of the presidential race, was to find “somebody who can take her into a room and only he comes out.”

Left-wing Matt Taibbi wrote on his blog in 2009, “When I read Malkin’s stuff, I imagine her narrating her text, book-on-tape style, with a big, hairy set of balls in her mouth.” In a Rolling Stone article about Secretary of State Clinton, he referred to her “flabby arms.” When feminist writer Erica Jong criticized him for it, he responded by referring to Jong as an “800-year old sex novelist.” (Jong is almost 70, which apparently makes her an irrelevant human being.) Funny how you righties never seem to grasp that it is your behaviors that make people question your sanity and some of the stupidity of the right makes for a good comedy act. TRFjr - all of those comments are reprehensible and many of the men you cited have apologized or they have faced suspensions or both. Another difference is that they made one offensive comments while Limbaugh went on a three day rant, three hours per day. He also completely disregarded her actual testimony to make up a scenario that fit his deluded needs for exposure. Sorry - Rush wins the misogyny award by a landslide.

i listen to rush frequently because i find it amusing that he doesn't know how childish and ignorant he sounds. i am slackjawed by the number of repubs who listen to his rants and take what he says as FACT.

Hey Pam...Hope your doing well. I was raised that you treat women with respect. I never had any respect for any man that physically or verbally abuses a woman...I think it really shows their ignorance and makes them less than a man.

I think Rush deserves to get the consequences of his actions. Also, I think people the people who called Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman names should also be punished. Just wondering if there was the same outrage on this blog .....when Palin and Bachman were called bad names?

i agree that no one deserves to be called horrible names. it definitley happens on both sides.

not that there SHOULD BE any excuses for name calling, but part of the reason for the name calling in regard to palin is that she put herself in a position that even repubs felt she wasn't qualified for. and her stance on family values was hypocritical, even by repub standards) when bristol showed up pregnant. and for all of palin's pontificating about vetting the republican presidential nominee, she was NOT vetted for veep. this decision was made by bill kristol, steve schmidt(?), john mccain, and other republicans who were thinking with their OTHER HEAD. mcCain himself said, "i picked her because i was sexually attracted to her". the whole "choosing" of palin for VP was a JOKE. however ignorant she is and was about american policy and the history of our country, she made out like a bandit!

in regard to michelle bachmann, though she does seem to be a little smarter than palin, we see with her as we did with palin, that the only important thing to repubs seems to be their positions on social issues; on guns, gays and god, birth control and abortion. i can't figure out if her husband is an example for "pray away the gay", reparative therapy, or if michelle bachmann isn't facing the truth about what he really is.

fortunately, the voters made the decision that they did not want sarah palin one heart beat away from the presidency, and they didn't want bachmann to run this country. no one deserves to be called names like rush did to miss fluke, but as a general rule, we have seen in regard to repubs, that they DO care more about social issues than they do about their nominee's intelligence.

I am a Conservative and I think what Limbaugh said was despicable...but no body from the left will admit that Palin and Bauchman were verbally abused and denounce it....If they would have been men....I don't think they would have been so mistreated.....and they were definitely portrayed as stupid bimbo's by the left and they don't deserve that no matter what.....Remember no excuses.

i "feel" it more when someone of my own party is attacked, especially in the way that limbaugh slandered Ms. Fluke. part of the reason i feel it so much, in regard to fluke, and the whole birth control, abortion issue, is that i completely disagree with their stance on birth control and abortion. they prop up their "language" with god and family values, but they use horrible language against their "victim".

you and i disagree on many things, and i cannot help but look at the hypocrisy of the republican party. we know that democrats are hypocritical also, but IN MY OPINION, i feel that repubs are much more hypocritical.

i might have heard bill maher call sarah palin names, but i did not hear any democrat with the STATUS that rush has in the repub party, slander sarah or michelle by calling her a slut or a prostitute, and pontificate about their sex lives for 3 days straight. Claire McCaskill said at the time, and again just a few days ago, that what some (bill maher?) people said about Bristol palin was wrong. i agree.

i remember when john mcCain picked sarah for his VP. the republican party immediately distanced themselves from the mud-slinging they do themselves, and say that 'satan is working through the democratic party to discredit the pro-life, bible believing christian and that god is behind the election of sarah palin. the evangelical right wing thought that the democrats were/are so jealous of sarah's excellent credentials, that they had to lie about her to make the playing field balanced.

but as the campaign went on, dem's AND repubs began to see how uneducated and uncurious about many things sarah palin really is/was. i don't know what she thought she had to do to help john mcCain win the election, but she WAS NOT UP TO THE TASK.

so, truly. sarah palin fell short in ALL areas, and i think most of the criticism was about her "ignorance". no excuses for the attacks on bristol either, but rush limbaugh said when jamie lynn spears got pregnant that the parents were to blame, and bill oreilly said, "on the PINHEAD front, 16 year old jamie lynn spears is prgnant". i have heard the right being very critical of "famous" teenagers who get pregnant, but in regard to bristol, they said the exact opposite, because this does not jive with the party of "christian family values".

as democrats we love to jump on the party of "christian family values", when they preach their values at women regarding birth control or abortion, or when they lecture gays on their sinful lifestyle, when we see over and over the same mistakes and lifestyle coming from the RIGHT. if, god forbid, sarah had been a DEMOCRAT with a pregnant daughter, we know what the right would have said about that in regard to the loose morals of the "democrat party".

the same is true of michelle bachmann. i didn't hear anyone call her any names in regard to her "woman-hood", but she got ALOT OF THINGS WRONG on her campaign for president, JUST LIKE SARAH PALIN. i think people were/are fed up with the "sarah palin's" of this world, even though we know that republicans do not appear to be so concerned with the intelligence of their nominee. they go on "whose turn it is", and they also care alot about social conservatism. and, they are proving once again that the only time they care about the deficit is when a democrat has the presidency. we hear alot about mitch daniels jumping in at the last minute, but he was responsible, in part, for all the spending under the bush administration, for putting everything on the credit card. BUT HE IS A SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE, i guess that's all that needs scrutiny NOW. all we hear about what a deficit hawk he is, but repubs don't need to look too far back to find themselves all guily of the deficit when W. bush was president.

again, the only thing i can say is that the democrats did not take after sarah and michelle the way rush took after Ms. Fluke.

this is NOT AN EXCUSE, but the democrats "make fun" of repubs for different reasons than the repubs make fun of democrats. and as we have also seen in regard to rush, and he is not the only one, repubs base their attacks on the immorality they feel that is the democratic party. they base their attacks on the fact that they think everyone should do as they do, or at least do as they say. repubs are, in my opinion, meaner than democrats.
