Sandra Fluke, who was denied an opportunity to testify about the Obama administration's policy requiring that employees of religion-affiliated institutions have access to health insurance that covers birth control, testifies at an unofficial hearing.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is doubling down on his ugly sexist remarks about Sandra Fluke.
As you'll recall, Fluke is the Georgetown Law School student who House Republicans wouldn’t let testify at a contraception hearing on Feb. 16.
Fluke did, however, "testify" that evening during an exclusive live appearance on The Ed Show. She also testified at an unofficial Democratic House hearing a week later, both times advocating insurance coverage of female contraception for birth control and medical conditions, such as the prevention ovarian cysts.
Yesterday, Limbaugh called Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute" because, as he argued, she’s having "so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex."

"What does it say about the college co-ed Susan Fluke who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex. What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. The remarks drew widespread criticism, with House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi demanding that Republican leaders in the House "condemn these vicious attacks on Ms. Fluke."
But on his radio show today, Limbaugh said he found the outrage over his remarks "absolutely hilarious." Referring to Fluke, Limbaugh demanded that women post sex tapes online if they use insurance-covered birth control.

Since this birth control fiasco, I've learned that the pill helps greatly with the pain associated with cerebal palsy, stops seizures for epileptic patients, I had to use it for chronic bleeding and my girlfriend had to use it to get her mensus back. I forgot about ovarian cysts, though I got them later in life years after not taking the pill. I think these r/tp's need a complete list of the medical benefits of taking the pill. Controlling the rate of birth has many of it's own medical benefits too that I have not listed and have been known for years.

I have never heard a Rush Limbaugh show but hear what he says on MSNBC, when they play excerpts from it. I have trouble imagining anyone being able to stand to listen to all that venom. Can someone explain to me how "we" are paying for her prescription drug benefits? I work for a corporation that provides a prescription drug plan for everyone that is employed then they pay for a percentage and I have to pay the balance. When I go pick up a rx, I pay the copay...am I missing something here?

I'm sick of paying for other people's appendectomies (I've never had one), other people's cancer's (I've never had any), other people's Lasik surgery (I've never had it), and other people's illnesses in general. I am guessing Catholics do not provide insurance that provides viagra but not sure as it is not something to prevent births like the pill and other birth control devices. The issue with the church which has clearly been stated by the church but warped by liberals is the "church" is opposed to birth control and as a religious institution they cannot under the constitution be forced to provide it.
