Yes, I believe Romney is concerned about the middle class. He is concerned that there are too many middle class. If he had his way, 99 percect would be poor. He's a joke.
Mitt is only looking after the wealthy being able to buy foreclosures for pennies on the dollar. What a self-centered individual who represents the 1%ers with the goal of moving this country in the direction of libertarianism so that they can continue to gain greater wealth while the 99ers loose monies and rights.

media tend to care about Mitt left or right position. However, in the eyes of American voters, Mitt position is Bain, 13.9% tax rate, Swiss Bank account, and that what he believes and cares, not ordinary American. By the end of the day, it's Mitt's wall street corporate raider mentality versus ordinary American. A vote for Mitt is a vote for Bush era where wall street and big banks betting casino all over again.
Romney is a plastic man who lives in a plastic bubble. He doesn’t personally know or interact with middle class people but now he comes out and says today that he isn’t concerned about the poor or the rich. He is now only concerned about the middle class. REALLY?
Oh, I guess he thinks those are the people who vote so it’s best to claim to care about them now. I wonder how many ignorant people will believe him? Well, LOTS, as we have seen in the republican bigoted lemmings running off the cliff as directed. They’ll be screaming when the repubs lower the boom!
I don’t think Romney cared so much about the middle class when he stowed his money offshore in the Cayman Islands and in Swiss banks to avoid paying taxes. Yes, TAXES that the rest of us, the middle class, had to make up to pay for the roads, and bridges and airports that Romney and his family use to drive their expensive cars on and to fly to those happy little trips around the globe to spectacular vacations spots with the money they saved on taxes.
His FOUR homes probably need to be supplied with sewer and water lines which the middle class paid for since he got out of paying his share by hiding it off shore. Kind of like criminals do. Well, why should he pay for sewers when he can buy nice jewelry or save for his children’s futures. According to Chris Mathews, his children have 100 million dollars for their futures. And, they live in those 4 houses, one of which is worth 12 million dollars, while Romney proclaimed that the banks should just let everyone else’s houses go into foreclosure. Then, his investors friends can buy up those houses and RENT them to the people who lost them. That’s concern for the middle class. Right!
Romney has no clue what the poor go through. He is too far removed to understand.

There will be a whole lot more very poor people regardless of who wins the republican nomination. Any republican elected will attempt to dismantle life as we know it. They've made it perfectly clear where they stand, yet it's amazing how many people will vote against their own best interests just because they can't except President Obama. it is unbelievably sad and frightening.

Clinton created the biggest middle class in history and limited the gap between the middle class and the rich. The poverty gap had been minimized due to Clinton's Welfare Reform and him giving them job training and opportunities. Bush came in and reversed those gains with his policies and left his successor with a mess. Bush knew a lot of this would happen and kept saying it would be up to other presidents to fix the mess. I don't know why the Democrats do not broadcast this as even he knew that he created a mess we would not be able to get out of.
the irony with newt/mitt (what a ticket that would be)....is this the best and brightest of the GOP (yes, i think so)? since when does free enterprize and capitalism mandate that there will be losers? since greed became their god and equality became their satan.

Why can't we just get our accounts in order with Obama as our president. This new GOP scares me because they're way too greedy. We need someone who'll step down to our level that is now in poverty. Plus, we need someone who doesn't lie about everything, and I do mean everything. Americans don't live the way our parents did because there's no money, no jobs and no one who gives a darn.

We are so fortunate that a few of our past wealthy leaders --FDR and JFK, for example-- showed empathy and compassion for the less fortunate among us, in contrast to born-on-third-base-and-thinks-he-hit-a-triple Mitt Romney. Mitt will pay for this, his latest boilerplate rhetorical screw-up.
