MSNBC's Ed Schultz explains that the Democrats feel, with the release of Mitt Romney's tax returns, they have the "perfect storm" to illustrate economic unfairness in America, which President Barack Obama will address solutions to during his State of the Union speech.

President Obama/ Emperor Palpatine has done nothing to help the border...he added, what, 400 troops? when they asked for 4000???
that would be like my boss giving me a $1 raise, and then claiming that I am now "wealthier than I have ever been!" while technically true, it really doesn't matter. THe border needs MUCH better protection.
I live near the Boarder.....hmmmmmm. It even protects me from crossing it anymore. It is what is kept on the other side that is important at this point. I am looking forward to when it is opened up again and I can freely cross it the way I use to do. Many of my friends who have relatives there that they can no longer visit feel the same way.

Regarding "in-sourcing", this trend is on America's side no matter who is in the White House. It is a fact that the higher cost of energy is is also making it even less attractive to manufacture goods abroad and ship them back to America.
The trend will be that successful companies will manufacture their goods within the countries in which they are marketing their goods. In reality, this is the way the global economy should have been grown fifteen years ago.

After being educated in his most informative years in Indonesia, he was educated in the most prestigious preparatory school in Hawaii. He has admitted that while at Occidental College in LA, he was a drug user. He used cocaine and marijuana and has admitted to it in his own autobiographies. After the admitted drug use and poor study habits, he was admiited into Columbia. Go figure.

I have lost one friend to cancer, am losing a 35 year friendship to a high school and college friend to Dementia, and another 30 year friend who is in last stage of tongue cancer. These things have hit me hard as I don't have that many long time friends. I have been spending the last few months trying to help and encourage. Thanks for asking.

I think it was a great speech. Who in hell the GOP thinks they are, the dominant force? They're a bunch of rich kids trying to bully everybody else, and guess what, they can't lie or cheat the American people into their crooked ways no more, people know better now.

Good Morning everybody. Hope you watched the President last night. A home run for sure. He put front and center what we have talked about here and signed petitions for, Get the money out of politics, The inside trading, he put them on notice ! We either get this done or we have politicians on the take. Now we are back to the circus, will they change there attacks on the President ? I can answer that Hell NO! I think he called them out as well and took the fight to them, he did not waiver or back down. The Buffet rule sure nailed Mitt Romney to the wall. Its not fair and the tax codes need to be shredded and more fair ! This speech , can help turn this country around he has vision to make us a great nation, while the status quot want to do nothing. I just watched a video on Morning Joe where they say the Presidents message was the same. Well damn straight it is. He came in to office on this speech and in 4 years the Republican party have not worked on damn thing. The Latinos want immigration reform and its stalled. The President supports the DREAM ACT. Not just the DREAM Act, but also comprehensive reform that will allow for good people to stay and give serial criminals and security threats the boot! On top, he is also asking for tax fairness, and that's something that's desperately needed.
I'm all for encouraging job creation, but stock speculators and those who prey on struggling companies should not be rewarded, in other words, no more welfare for people like Romney!
I just love it when they say Obamacare is "a job killing law", but if you look at the job creation figures it becomes apparent one of the sectors actually creating jobs is the healthcare sector.

Hey, many of on this blog don't understand Independents, and have tried to tag me with all kinds of labels. I really want what is best for this country, and honestly don't care which party they someone come from.

Life is so short and many never live it as they only spew hate. Capt. unlike your Stepfather my mother will never get better. The Alzheimer's takes a part of her each day. I watch her do things repeatably that I can"t comprehend. It is the most cruel disease there is. She knows me now, but I dread the day she does"nt. I take a day at a time Capt. Thank you for asking. I didn't know your mom had Alzheimer you may have read my previous post. Dementia is related. I visited my old friend he is just not there he used to be a lion, super successful, football player, We used to play racquet ball every day when we were younger i never beat him once. Now he gets lost is medicating himself with alcohol to hide hi fear. It's killing me to watch helplessly. He and the man with tongue cancer were like brothers to me. I don't know how you cope I am so sorry you are going through this awful thing with our mom . Kind of make who caused the unemployment to be irrelevant doesn't it?
Thanks for the kind words, guys! Pam, my mother died in Feb 2010. It was horrible to watch mom get upset because we were hiding her dad in the next room, and wouldn't let her see him (grandpa died 30 years ago).
My stepfather's dementia is quite different, he is completely lost ("where's the bathroom?"), but he sweetly and passively sits and doesn't complain about anything.
Pam, his health is improving, but his mind is gone. Oh, he still remembers our names, but ask over and over for things, "When's breakfast?" (We just finished, 10 minutes ago), or "where's Catherine?" (Mom's been dead almost 2 years), etc.
Gosh, sorry for the long, self-absorbent post. Pam, thanks, "God Bless Capt. Your always welcome here." But you and others can still get mad at me and tell me so when you think my comments too abrasive. Hey remember, this is supposed to be fun!
TC, I take a day at a time and stay busy. I should of kept a journal. At first when it started few years ago you say its just old age. Shes 88. I don"t know how many times she would get dressed in middle of night and tried to go somewhere. I say its allot like the old vinyl records that would get scratch and not continue playing. I have watched her do things over and over again. Stack Kleenex , lay them on the floor like tablecloth. Go back and forth to the bathroom all day long. Now for no reason from the time she awakes in the morning till I get her to bed she sets in her chair and gets up and down and falls back in her chair the whole day. She dose"nt talk. At night she may get up and down and I have to get her back to bed. There is no rhyme or reason for it. I am sorry for what you are going through. Its hard but you must find your strength, and do what you can. You are stronger than you know. Take care of yourself.

Since I have been away i was unaware of your troubles and only thought of my own. after reading both your challenges it makes mine seem small in comparison. In reading these posts back and forth I was thinking about what i think the single thing that Americans share that no one else in the wold community shares. When troubles come to neighbors and acquaintances, and for that matter even to people we here about but don't know Americans forget all else until the trouble is passed. I watched in awe with what happened up the Road in Joplin. Right wing Christian Churches from the South stood next to Jewish relief workers to help the people. My College Drury sent a busfull of students to work on the home makeover TV show that gave away 7 homes. The Tea Party here at the Lake had a filled semi on site early the next morning and have sent several more. Here is Pam dyed in the wool Liberal comforting a crumudgin conservative when her own challenges are greater. I hope some of the hardliners here read all Capt, Pam and my posts. Thanks Pam I will always remember your kindness (even when your wrong about politics lol) so sorry about your mom Capt.

Pilot Shark, See in one of his papers read Speacial Ops, Then VA paper was special forces. He only talked briefly about it once when he came to visit. They were forbidden till 2003. I was given a choice halfway through basic to re up for OCS or attend a special electronics school in Red Bank NJ for no special reason I took the elec gig. Ended up in intelligence and was assigned to NATO. Can't tell all but was in charge of all correspondence between commands that was classified and kept control of all the engineering drawings of the atomic weapons and Nike zuse missiles they were on. It was interesting stuff but due to classified nature and holding a NATO cosmic clearance i spent most of my time in Frankfurt at the Engineer Command Headquarters. No real service for me. Was in 3 years and only spent one night in a tent. I am almost embarrassed to say i was in the same world with the likes of your brother.
TC, Don"t you ever feel embarrassed! My Husband joined the AF. and after basic spent his time at Wright Patt, Hes a Vietnam Era Veteran. But not everyone can march into battle. There has to be the ones who keep the engine running , My husband was Ground Radio. Boy did that change with the Computer age. Look back at the big old radios they use to have to lug around and what they have now ! I realize there are things you take to the grave. My husband never talked shop and I new to never ask. I had no Idea of my brothers military career till his passing. I am so excited to be able to send and get his medals. Found out two were given by Vietnam Govt. Think one is Vietnam Gallantry cross. I will also send for my Dads he was in the navy in WW2 and need to do more digging to get his records and find hopefully picture of ships he was on. They are probably in the scrap yards but the classified documents of them from WW2 you can find. Thank you for your kind words . The American people are the most giving and caring on Earth. We can be at each others throats but in time of need we put it all aside and do what we were put on this earth for , to help one another. Its so sad it takes a disaster to bring us together is"nt it. Pilotshark, I saw all those post under my name and thought oh my! It was sure acting up. I like to never got back on last night and found many had trouble. Many think was solar flare. That is so cool you got to meet him. What a great group and I hope the education center at the Vietnam Wall will show case this group and pay tribute to them. The Green Berets were apart of an elite group and should never be forgotten. You are so right there is not a day goes by I do not miss my brother. He was 4 years older and me and my protector, he always watched out for his little sister. Now its just me. We take so much for granite and think we will live for ever. Where did the years go? Its hard to believe what 1973-2013 will be a big Anniversary to the end of Vietnam War. Would you ever want to go back and see it now? I would love to go and see where my Brother was and my Fiance died. I have seen video of Pleiku and Hue and so different from pictures when my brother was there. Loved the big stacks of beer. It is one thing to dislike or even hate the man that is the President it is an entirely different thing to disrespect the office he holds. That is what she di and it is an example for every whack job in the country to think is OK and it isn't. I don't like him but he is my sons Commander in Chief and my son salutes him in that capacity and so do i. I still won't vote for him and will do what i can to beat HIM the office is a different matter when he did the state of the union he was addressing the Country as the President not as Obama.
