Big Eddie is in the Nation's Capitol tonight for special coverage of tonight's State of the Union address. Ed will be reporting from statuary hall during the 8pm edition of our SOTU lead-up coverage (anchored by Rachel and featuring the MSNBC all-stars).
After the speech Ed will head over to our near-by studios for post-game coverage starting at 11pm. We have major guests lined up. We're excited to hear the speech.

Why didn't he address these issues with companies going overseas his first year? It was certainly going on during that time?

If you had been paying attention when he was running for president the first time you would have known he did. End tax breaks for companies that outsource jobs overseas and give tax breaks for them to bring jobs back but the teabagger traitors vowed to filibuster it. Why was that TAP?

How many times does it have to be said before you accept the fact that the GOP are the ones who complicated the tax codes so the wealthy had loop holes that allowed people like Mittens to hire lawyers to find those loop holes. Here is a clue tap why is it all wealthy people have tax lawyers and all the working people have is H&R Block? Here is another thing tap a whole field of lawyers created just for the wealthy to use doesn't anything enter your head that makes you stop and say hey something smells fishy and I'm not at the fish market.

whom...your right. I'm not a civics expert. However, I do know that the tax code will never be without loopholes in it's current form.
I think there is plenty of evidence that the loopholes were a joint effort. Even some of the primary sources from JiT's search showed some programs sponsored by both parties.
What don't you get tap the GOP wants to keep the tax code as it is the only changes they have made when they were in charge was shifting the tax burden from the wealthy to the worker, that is all they ever done to change the tax codes.

From reading above- it is pretty obvious that all want a simplified tax system.
Here's a proposal- On all profits from anything manufactured in the USA, a 5% corporate tax. Dump the 35% rate and the loopholes. If it is made here, then only 5% of its profits get taxed.
