A person claiming to be in Osage (Osage, Iowa, presumably) and affiliated with the Internet hacker group Anonymous infiltrated the Twitter account of Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley this afternoon and sent more than two-dozen messages to his nearly 34,000 followers.
The messages sent mocked Grassley and mentioned controversial measures in Congress dealing with Internet piracy including the The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA), Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP ACT (PIPA).
"Dear Iowans, vote against ACTA, SOPA, and PIPA, because this man, Chuck Grassley, wants YOUR internet censored and all of that BS," said the first message, posted at around 12:28 p.m. CST.
Grassley was among senators who changed his stand on SOPA and opposed it after an outpouring of online opposition to tinkering with Internet freedoms. Grassley had signed on as a co-sponsor of the bill when it was formally introduced in May.
Grassley's spokeswoman Jill Kozeny says in an email that his office is "working to manage it."

If the censorship of the Internet is allowed to happen along with the wire taps, cameras and various other form of big brother keeping a strangle hold on freedom in the name of keeping us safe. Where do we draw the line between being free and being controlled? I have seen and talked to ,many people who have lived behind the Iron curtain and we do not want that in this country ! Remember many of our military have gave there lives for this freedom and we must not let it be taken away in the name of anything. You cannot be controlled and free at the same time!
Security Cameras have become a big crime deterrent as well as a crime solver. It is hard to decide what is acceptable and not acceptable. Is there such a thing as too much freedom? That is the question? Where does it start and when has it become too much?

Thankful , You are right about that and many of us here in the US as well. Homeland Security again. They did not need court order. Do you know if that still is in effect? Its a two edged sword for sure ! Is it there to protect us or keep us in line? Remember many things were stared with good intentions and turned into something very different ! Where dose it end?
I'm surprised Grassley even HAS a Twitter acct. He supposedly travels all over Iowa in an old Studebaker or Chrysler or some old car he's had since it was new. I've never thought of him as with it enough to even know what the Internet is, let alone Twitter!
Just because his care is old, does not mean he does not have it in ment condition>
