NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports on the latest news about former Sen. John Edwards' and his upcoming trial, now postponed until March.
Ex-presidential candidate John Edwards has a serious health condition that requires treatment and limits on his travel, sources told NBC News today.
It had been reported that the judge delayed Edwards' campaign-finance trial and described Edwards' condition as life-threatening. But a source told NBC News that the condition is an arrhythmia that might require implantation of a pacemaker.
Another source said the judge described Edwards' condition as serious.

OR, whom, and others: you act like I am some sort of partisan hack; remember I don't fit in either party. I fear the power of government, and believe we all should be leery of any administration that takes power and says "trust me".
No whom, I'm not a "survivalist", but I do worry about government power. Your KKK is an illegal activity, but government makes itself legitimate. It really doesn't matter who appointed each member of the Supreme Court, I just am concerned when our personal freedoms are abridged.
Finally, fascists and GOP are polar opposites. The GOP party is for smaller government, it's the Democrats that are for more government. Check out this link:
Pretty good explanation of my political position. :-)
Ah no the KKK is not illegal until they do illegal things. As far as the GOP creating smaller Government that is just a talking point as all the GOP has done is increase the government. So why do you continue to spew the right wing nonsense?
whom: you say the GOP has voted against everything Obama has tried to do. I contend because Obama has been doing everything he can to increase the size of government. The GOP is know for being conservative, unfairly or not. Conservatives are for less government, getting government out of our lives, and more personal freedom. Democrats believe government can help, and are always trying to enlarge government. :-)
Again wheres you proof that Obama has been out to grow the government? In fact where is your proof that the GOP has made government smaller? Where do you get this belief that the GOP is getting government out of your life when the GOP has produced a more intrusive government? All you have are the talking points and spin but when it comes to provable facts you are all wet.
whom: Do you really think Obama has not been growing government? He has 600 "czars", buddies on his personal staff to receive high salaries to do nothing. Just "Good Old Boy" paybacks. The federal payroll has topped 2 million, the largest since:
whom: you really need to get out and talk to real people, and read a little before posting comments like those above.
Q: Does Obama have an unprecedented number of "czars"?
A: "Czar" is media lingo, not an official title. But our research shows that George Bush’s administration had more "czars" than the Obama administration.
It’s meaningless to ask a question about what "hiring czars" allows a president to do, because presidents don’t hire czars. "Czar" is a label bestowed by the media – and sometimes the administration – as a shorthand for the often-cumbersome titles of various presidential advisers, assistants, office directors, special envoys and deputy secretaries. (After all, what makes for a better headline – "weapons czar" or "undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics"?)
Oh as of 2012 Obama has only given that title to 40 people not 600 capt.

LOL why because I might run into more misinformed people like you to laugh at?
