The Ed Show won't be seen tonight in its usual format in order to present MSNBC's rolling live coverage of the New Hampshire primary.
Ed is, of course, on the panel for that coverage this evening, along with Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell, Rev. Al Sharpton and Steve Schmidt, who ran the McCain-Palin campaign in 2008. Chris Matthews is also checking in from New Hampshire.
And The Ed Show blog will have the latest results.
The @edshow will be back tomorrow (Wednesday) for at 8pET full post-New Hampshire, pre-South Carolina coverage on @msnbctv.

Mr. “99% the Rest of us” and the 1% Leech
During the end of George W. Bush’s second term, Mr. “99% the Rest of us” was brought to the emergency room. He did not feel well – actually, he felt pretty bad. Over eight years, the Republican doctors treated him with a therapy, he did not believe anymore, was good for him. “We need to feed the “1% Leech” on your skin more! If he does well, it will trickle down to your body and make you feel better”, they told him.
Mr. “99% the Rest of us” was in need of intensive care. He did not trust them anymore and changed the doctor.
Dr. Obama put him on life support and made sure, he got the so badly needed infusions. Vital organs needed a bailout and had to be kept from collapsing... actually, the whole body was in danger. Two wars were strangling his throat and kept him from breathing enough oxygene – too much blood and fluids were drawn from him, by sending important body functions overseas and the “1% leech” on his skin kept sucking more and more from him. Dr. Obama gave Mr. “99% the Rest of us” the right treatment, the right medicine and lots of hope!
Mr. “99% the rest of us” is recovering. He’s doing better by the month, even as the Republican doctors try allmost everything they can, to sabotage Dr. Obama’s treatment.
Today, after four years and Mr. “99% the rest of us” being on the way to full recovery, the republican doctors want to make everyone believe, their medicine is better, than Dr. Obama’s and only they would know, how to take good care of the patient. Mr “99% the rest of us” doesn’t believe them anymore! Mr “99% the rest of us” is voting Democrat!
PS: The republican doctors have yet to understand: The wrong medicine can kill you - and feeding the “1% leech” more and more, will not trickle down to Mr. “99% the rest of us” and make him feel better – it will slowly suck more and more life out of him and one day, when he finally collapses, also the “1% leech” will dy with him!

It is really curious that at the beginning The Dems were not as good but they changed for the better, while the Republicans changed for the worst, putting the profits of the powerful before the needs of the people.
I so agree! I've been saying for a long time that the Republicans value money over people. But I believe this year will be the year for people power (as shown how people can be a statement like Occupy WS) and the year for the difference between telling the truth to be a stark contrast between the lies the GOP likes to tell.
Rick Santorum to me is a good example of the lies. He has been brought up and has taken in the GOP rhetoric without really thinking it through. He can't see the bigger picture because he's so hung up in his own bigotry. And now some of his stands seem to be contradicting themselves.
What I don't understand is how a man can decide FOR ME what my life should be about by my decision to have or not have children. Since he's not in charge of my life, he shouldn't be in charge of my decision. It goes back to respect. If you respect me, then what I decide for myself should be my deal not yours. To tell me how I should live my life is a good sign of no respect for me being able to make my own decisions.

Actually I listen in on Ed's Sirius show just as I listen to Hannity and Rush. That is because I want to see where the other side is coming from. To date, I can't remember, though there probably has been one or two times, that I agreed with ED. Do any of you even listen to a conservative program? Even if you disagree, you should!

By the way, have any of you ever seen the ratings of MSNBC's shows compared to others? Also do you ever wonder why national Left radio like "Air America" didn't make it? That one is easily answered also, no one listened to it! They had to "package" the Left radio talk shows up on Sirius, kind of like what they do on cable TV with sewing and food channels.
That's because the left can do it's own thinking. They don't need a daily dose of propaganda to know what to think. You're idols are afraid if they shut up for a minute, you might perceive reality correctly.
