In this Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 photo taken in Maple Bluff, Wis., Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker talks about progress that's been made on his 2010 campaign pledge to add 250,000 jobs by 2015. In nearly a year the state has added just more than 16,000 jobs, which is not on pace to meet the goal.
A former close aide to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker during his time as Milwaukee County executive is among three people arrested and charged with felonies today as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
Former Milwaukee County housing director Tim Russell, 48, faces two felony and one misdemeanor embezzlement charges.
The complaint against Russell says he stole more than $10,000 from a private entity he controlled that was supposed to benefit military veterans to pay for Caribbean and Hawaiian vacations.
The arrest of a close Walker aide raises more questions about the extent of the investigation and its direction as Walker faces a possible recall election motivated by anger over his proposal effectively ending collective bargaining rights for public workers.

Dirt, breeds dirt.
Crooks gop/re-baggers = Crooks !!!!!! Any Questions ?????? They Are Destroying America{n's} For Their Own Personal Financial Gains !!!!
I Find It Incredible That ANYONE Is Shocked/Surprised/or Amazed That This Has Been And IS Going On !!!???????????????????????????????? Wake-UP !!!!
"I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! " - Captain Renault, Casablanca
if (i said if) anyone steals from the veterans or the people needing this help republican or democrat--makes no diff which--they need hung--i'll be watching to see if this is true!
Scott Walker and his buddies.
sad group of people.....
Government doesn't work. Isn't that what they say?
Yeah, it doesn't work and they will do anything they can to prove it. Even stealing from vets.
How 'patriotic'. Gotta love these 'Christian Conservatives'
AMEN to that #4, LOL!!!
Can't wait until they put the cuffs on Walker!!!
Damn straight #5! If ANYONE ever deserved to be hauled off to jail from the current criminally negligent, arrogant, ignorant WI administration, it would be little Scotty Walker! I wouldn't hold my breath that Gov Walker will get anything more than tossed out of office, which he so richly deserves and it seems very, VERY likely that's what will happen.....Of course even if he did get arrested, the Koch's who hold his puppet strings would probably bail his sorry butt out, and hire an army of lawyers to prove he's a saint who tried to stand up to the evil and all-powerful state workers unions. Anti-middle class crooks like Walker, W Bush, Cheney, Rummy.........they basically always get away with screwing over everyone. The system is rigged by them, for them whether its about Wall st or wars! As Rachael Maddow has said so well numerous times: IOKIYAR (It's OK If You're A Republican) America has a two-tiered justice system; one for the 1%ers, and one for the other 99% of us!
Can't wait til they put the cuffs on Walker!!!
I bet if they dig into Walker's past they could find some wrongdoing there too. You just have to know where to look.
Wasn't the deal he was trying to make with the Koch baggiers enough? If I was caught stealing candy I would at least hang my head and wish I could disappear.
Easy == They Cant Do That === For THEY Have NO Conscience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY GREED And Self-Worth !!!!!
What has Walker done wrong criminally, if anything?
Rushing the vote on the union-busting bill against the "open doors" law, perhaps?
Forcing that law without a quorum, maybe?
Kicking people out of their own Capitol building, could it be?
Or,maybe, conspiracy with the Koch brothers and other Republican governors to deprive Ameriacan voters of their civil rights? BINGO!
Miss-representation and mistreatment of people by stealing their jobs, and taking money for doing it as a political favor.
So, the answer is no...he has not done or been charged with anything criminally?
Remember guys only republicans get to play guilt by association because they are the party of morality and ethics so the people they hang out with doesn't mean anything. Remember 2004 and the John Kerry/Jane Fonda scandal? They found an old news wire photo of John sitting 3 rolls behind Jane but it was a love fest between them.
So cannon, what you are saying now and did before is if someone was not convicted of a crime they are OK with you. Even when there is mounting evidence they committed said crimes. Like Al Capone was a good guy before he was convicted on tax evasion.
You remember the talk he had with someone who he thought was his boss? A Washington-based campaign finance watchdog group is calling on Wisconsin prosecutors to launch an investigation of Governor Scott Walker, alleging potentially illegal fundraising activity in an exchange with the prankster who posed as billionaire David Koch.

If pre meditated murder were legal, you would still be using that line.
I made this point yesterday and I am going to repeat it, you so called republicans are suckers for the Norman Rockwell picture the tea party try to paint themselves into. I do not know much about you except for your blogs, but my guess is you are retired, am I right? It seems to me, people like you who are not exceeding rich just want a leader that will say any lie to make you feel at ease.
Right wing republicans: Flags, God, Apple pie, comforting.
Democrats: Wages, taxes, economy, scary.
Viewer - sorry, but your sterotyping of me and other Republicans is way off base. This may come as a shock to many of you but not all Republicans are rich, old white men or gun toting, bible quoting rednecks. I am a single, young, college educated professional in my late 20's, live in a very blue state in an urban area and frankly I am concerned about the direction of this country. I am not in the 1%, nor did I grow up with alot of money. I also find it insulting that you think that people are so dumb that they cannot think for themselves and only want to feel at "ease."
It is funny, like most liberals you like to think that everyone who is not far left is an idiot and that big government needs to be the savior for us all. That is why liberals, in the the name of doing what is best for you, continue to "big brother" us by taking more of our liberty, want more of our money, and want to regulate us to death - that is what I am against.
In regards to Scott Walker - you are just trying to paint me as a hypocrite or someone with double standards by pretending that I am somehow defending Scott Walker's alleged criminal behavior when I simply asked a question. Isn't there are a reason we have criminal due process? If Walker is convicted of a crime then he should be punished. However, I know this is just a typical witch hunt to smear a Republican. There is mounting evidence that Obama made a possibly illegal deal with Solyndra - are you OK with that? I know he has not been convicted, but there could be some truth there.
Boy I hope they continue to investigate and nail Walker to the wall !!!! It makes me so mad they stole from the military. Should"nt surprise any of us they have been steeling us blind for decades !!!
Pam =They Cant Help themselves = They Actually Feel As If They Are Something Very Special !!!!!!!???????? Go Figure = Hey !!!!!!! Jokes They Are !!!!!!
Walker is pond scum. I would not be suprised one bit if eventually he is indicted on some type of corruption charge. At any rate, having one of your aides stealing money from vets, which is not a suprise at all coming from a teabagger, is just one more nail in his coffin. Have fun in the unemployment line Scotty. And when your 'bagger buddies refuse to extend your unemployment benefits fear not, the Dems will get it done.
And the hits just keep comin' from these Rightwing nuts! I'm glad to say, and I mean it with all my being, Boys, your "Family Values are coming back to bite you where the sun don't shine! Especially YOU WALKER!!!!
DM Johnston - Wasn't one of the founders of the Cato Institute a Koch brother? I believe they champion many of the ideals of "liberalism". They certainly attacked Bush about his stance in Iraq. ...just sayin.
I only care about what the Koch stand for now. They are trying to buy it and own it. I'm sorry, I may not have as much money as they do, but I have and investment here as well. They are not liberal, they are dictatorial.
Close, but no cigar. You got the koch part right, but they "champion" libertarian ideals, not Liberal ones.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cato_Institute
Actually the CATO Institute is a very conservative think tank and is funded by Corporations and individuals (kock bros) dedicated to free market, no regulation whatsoever and privatizing SS and medicare.
I'll do what no one else did here. Thank you again President Barak Obama for having the Federal Employees do their jobs and not go around collecting campaign donations. The actions of these men are are always happening with no check on power they have gained politically. 8 years of Bush Cheney are now followed by an obstructionist Congress. And anyone who votes Republican after all this crap, will be subject to the same as they did when they burn the GOP out of it's home.
What's that saying about birds of a feather, etc. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if they found Walker had committed a few felonies himself. Follow the money....
I thought everyone would get it when they heard Walker on the phone to the fake Koch brother but it is amazing how people go into denial so quickly. But then George Bush and Dick Cheney are still walking around free when they were clearly responsible for the deaths of so many people, women and children included. They should have been tried as war criminals in my humble opinion. I would have to say Bin Ladin won that war because he crushed us financially, knowing how greedy we are. Kill for peace??? Crazy, it's just plain crazy and it always has been.
Am I surprised? NO! There is so much corruption in politics, they think what they are doing is legal because so many get way with it. We need more prosecution and painful consequences for these white collar crimes.
Our Govenor is a CROOK I always knew that. I am so tired of his face on the tube, and hearing his voice on the radio. His Pals the Koch Brothers are really paying out alot for him. Its a sin,and very shameful,Walker is a Liar..There is so much corruption with him, and many others tied to him, come on Wisconsinites,he needs to be recalled, more than ever...
Gee, I wonder if former aides to any Democrats have ever been arrested. Hmm? What a lame article and obvious left wing agenda.
List any that have stolen funds from vets, then you might have an argument.
I certainly would not want any one on a jury that would read a article in the news and make a decision on there guilt without the facts first. I dont think you would want that for you or a family member. What is happening to people. Have we become so low that we must win at all costs. If we dont stop the fighting with each other on every issue we are in bigger trouble than we could ever imagine. I dont care for Obamas grab at power but i do not blame all Democrats for the mess we are in either.
Walker, is a crook, just like all his croonies, maybe they will frog march him out of the Gov hut.
"Birds of a feather flock together" so the corruption runs deep among the flock.
This is simply a sign of desperation from the Left, only an idiot could draw a connection to Walker on this

Just joined Newsvine, and this is your first (second) comment. C'mon scott, you're not fooling anybody.
the first sentence shows one of the folks arrested was a former CLOSE aide to Scott Walker. How is that idiotic drawing of a connection?
Come on sandy, use your brain. if someone that once worked for u was found to b a thief, would that make u a thief also?
