From what I recall, it was the Wall Street sell-off of MF Global stock that precipitated the crisis at MF Global. Wall Street was scared about MF Global's risky investment, the sell-off yanked whatever cover MF Global had out from under them, therefore, the bankruptcy filing. What appears to be commingling of funds is a different matter. Ongoing investigation should determine who the guilty parties are.. As Elliot Spitzer said on the DR Show a few days ago, it has yet to be determined if Corzine is guilty of anything more than a foolish investment.
mr JONES you are off base on every thing that is talked about on this site i notice
he certainly is off base !!! in fact; he is out in orbit !!!! drifting and slippimg away !!!!
@ALBERTJONES36, regarding the following
It doesn't matter what program has the larger number of viewers. Popularity is irrelevant with regard to the veracity of the respective opinions.. What's more important is that msnbc's OpEd program hosts are much more reliable than FNC's OpEd program hosts at vetting purported news. It was because of FHC, on multiple programs proclaiming a torn-out-of-context quote from Shirley Sherrod as actually being true about her that USDA Sec. Vilsack felt compelled to request her resignation. While the USDA is at fault for overreacting, the original blame lies with Breitbart for trying to get one over on the NAACP, and FNC for broadcasting the lie for their listeners to be egregiously misinformed once again. Just business as usual for the unprincipled Conservative OpEd hosts at FNC. An honorable woman had her reputation unjustifiably soiled because the hosts at FNC were all guilty of not being duly diligent regarding the veracity of a quote the got a hold of from Breitbart, when Breitbart's real target for shame was later said to be the NAACP being racist. Unfortunately, Breitbart's track record is such that anything that he says is intended to be inflammatory, so should be vetted upfront every time rather than after the damage is done. Unfortunately, SOP for FNC is to assume true anything they want to believe is true. Again business as usual at FNC, which also does a poor job of differentiating between which programs are OpEd and which are news (e.g., Brett Baier is a news journalist, O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck spouted their opinions which they wanted their viewers to blindly accept as being true about the world, regardless of the fact that most of what they reported was nothing more than opinion, at best. That method of operating wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that most of what comes from FNC is in accord with what their viewers want to believe.
I don't watch FNC for the same reason I don't listen to Rush. I disagree with their opinions almost all the time; they are lousy sources if one is looking for the truth; and their is much better comedy available.
not going as well as they like you to think.
Cable News Ratings: Top 30 Programs For November 2011
November's cable news ratings are out and here we go again! Like clockwork, Fox News dominated the ratings. Still, every network had an interesting story to tell.
Fox News saw its numbers drop by double digits in primetime, total day and A25-54 viewers compared to 2010. This isn't totally surprising, since that was a major election year, but the drops were steep; for instance, the network was down 30% in the demo for primetime.
MSNBC's primetime programming brought in bigger ratings than last month, which tipped the ratings war scale between the network and CNN back in its favor. MSNBC attributes its ratings climb to the reshuffling of Lawrence O'Donnell's "The Last Word," with Ed Shultz's "The Ed Show."
CNN however, experienced ratings growth of its own across the board. Compared to November 2010, CNN grew 4% in Total Day viewing. Anderson Cooper's "AC 360" 8:00 p.m. airing also improved over 40% in total viewing, compared to this month last year. (Piers Morgan, unfortunately, saw his ratings slide a bit below the numbers Larry King was posting on his farewell tour in 2010, though he has managed to top King's ratings overall this year.) CNN also beat MSNBC in the daytime.
How did individual shows fare? Below, see the top 30 cable news programs of November.
The nightly shows on MSLSD are all the same thing, starts with T-Ball with chris mattress-stain,nothing but propaganda and hate for anyone that will not stand lock step with the liberals.
3 years into this liberal way of doing things and we have over 9% unemployment, 1 in 7 on food stamps..
And all you liberals can do is point your phucking finger.
Get ready for a wake up call in Nov 2012, "Bag & Baggage"......
Ed was recently named one of the 25 Least Influential people - ouch! the turth hurts.
…Then there pundits like Ed Schultz. Do you watch “The Ed Show” on MSNBC? Of course you don’t. No one does. The only reason people watch “The Ed Show” is they’re working out in a hotel gym and they can’t find a staff member to change the channel to ESPN.
Its so nice to see the troll out. They are scared of Ed. The best is not to feed the troll.
"They" and just who are "They" anyway???
check the ratings.... 11-29-11 8:00PM O'Reilly Factor 3.4 million
the ed show 967,000... almost a 4 to 1 difference..
I know you liberals hate the facts.....
G, I hear you, but you are wrong. Ed has influenced me lot more than Limbo, Shannity or that idiot O'Oh riley. People like you live on another planet and can not find your own ass hole with two fistful of fish hooks! Get a life. I tried to comment two times, but somehow some right winger has blocked. What else can you expect from T-wingers?
Don't raise Cain! Let the Republicans drop the Newtron Bomb instead!
Edward, I agree. But they must be exposed.Newt Grinch for president? Help us God, please don't let that happen to USA!
Gosh, the Republicans seem so transgendered these days. Do they go with a cultish Mormon with hair, five sons, and a governorship of liberal Massachusetts with the prototype to Obamacare, or do we keep groveling with the flavor of the month with another flawed character? An amusing five-ring circus in this election cycle.
Where are the regular people who comment on this site? Like Annette and David who are my favorite. That is the kind of people we want to hear from, not scunbags line "G" and that first comentator!
MOsquitos/ Goofballs == SWat= BBBBBbbbing = Sqwash = flick=flick ==OOooOoooOwwwwW =Still GOOwy YYuke = Flick !!!!!! Oh! OH! oh! PYUKES !!
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Ussssssssssssssssssssssssss Christ...
Do you even have the intellect to put together a complete sentence??
Boy, this guy Albert needs to back to the planet he came from! Republicraps are all out of touch with reality. Don't go to past, just look at the present and plan for the future. Moron T-wingers are so stupid that they don't even know where Africa is! Ask Herman can't any question about the world, and then you will learn the truth.
Here's another look at Mitt and his temperament issues, w/ photos.
Joan W and Mike P always wonderful to see. "pompous gasbag" ! "I'm not jesus christ" newt.... and O' really is a legitImate source???? THANK YOU FOR Scott Olsen, Robert Greenwald, Jessie LaGraca. OCCUPY EVERYWHERE.
The GOP wants to pay for payroll tax cuts by firing people... Ok, how dumb is that? More unemployed people. Yeah we don't know that's give here, take there. They care nothing about the country, but Im sure they could have come up with a nice excuse. And all to protect their billionaire masters, their owners. Slaves, that's all they are.
Sad and pathetic, the GOP's selling out jobs to protect their rich owners.
Yep = They sure do have Them on a leash !!!! hey !!!! Pittyful little narrow=minded puppy's !!!!
what?
1979 average wage $11k a year... 2011 $50k a year, hey fat eddie can you do simple math??
