Don't talk about Ohio, or the midwest!!! Labor unions have killed the steel belt. Looking at the protestors, they don't seem to represent anyone but the homeless. Or college kids that mommy and daddy pay for their college. Go to a job board, job fair, or go to a library and look up opportunities.
billy I worked with many of the Steel giants. What has destroyed the Steel industry in the USA was the corporate greed. We had the technology but decided to not retool when the markets changed. We did not address forign trade policies and the republican open the doors to cheap steel from outside the USA so get your facts straight.
The buy USA is a nice slogan and I agree when fair trade instead of free trade is embraced this will continue.
Blame the politican and corporations whom I personally observed deep sixing not only the steel but auto industry.
We need to change and be smarter not just greedy.

I have to say one thing, and there are going to be people who get mad at me for saying this. We may not agree on politics at all, but you have always treated me with respect and I will treat you with the same respect.
Nanette-I treat people the way they treat me. If someone starts being disrespectful I can be just as nasty. If someone wants to have a civil debate, I will be honest and respectful. As for who I voted for during the Bush years, I voted for him the first time (I did not vote the second time). I thought he was a conservative like me. Well, it became pretty clear that he was not. Too much spending, no balanced budget. These things are of utmost importance to a true conservative. There is a difference between voting for someone and supporting them. Yes I voted for him once but I could not support his policies, just like I cannot support Obama's policies. Our kids are going to be smothered in debt if we don't stop this insanity. George did it ever occur to you that a lot of the violence is planted to make the movement look bad? This is nothing new, it has gone on for generations. Companies planted bad eggs within the unions during strikes to make it look like the unions were violent. I know that for a fact. I have been on many a picket line and have seen it with my own eyes. Why do you not think that the police plant troublemakers in the crowd to start trouble?

Ed.. thanks a BUNCH for covering demonstrations outside of New York. I'm in Los Angeles and all the coverage was local or New York. No coverage from national news. Didn't know about any other cities until you covered it.
How about covering all the delays they caused for honest middle class citizens. How about covering all the violence they have committed and threatend to commit.

Don't you think if tens of thousands of people were so devoted to "rape, the violence, the drug use" that any one would be able to ignore that? Saying the "movement" is about violence is like saying the tea party is violent because one women got her head smashed in at a Rand Paul campaign rally.
