tHE FULL BLOG:The Tea Party is sick and dying and its going to take the Republican Party with it! But I can see a split coming soon as some of the Republicans will try to distance themselves from them in a last ditch effort to save their sorry asses. As this happens blame will be placed on the Democrats as you know it (the Tea Party) was covert operation to exterminate the Republican Party!...An Its working just fine!
As far as the National Debt goes someone said yesterday its almost $15 trillion I think its time to refinance the loans. As the song goes, Something from nothing leaves nothing! And you gotta have something in the first place! China has had a poor crop this year and I think that the U.S. could have a bargaining chip to do just this. I can hear it now in China, Cash you useless gold in for rice 1-800- rice- forgold Operators waiting!
What was that Glen you have to speak louder we can't hear you without the mic.
Without the rich, most people would not have jobs.
Poor people don’t create jobs.
Unions don't create jobs!
Governments create jobs by force.
The rich create jobs by creating things people want.
Fatunsassy, The poor have created a lot of Jobs in Federal, State and local governments. Look at the number of failed Government Social Programs intended on eliminating Poverty in the United States. These programs started in the 1930's and have employed tens of thousands of Civil Servants. It takes a lot of people to administer and operate these programs. Of course the programs have done nothing to eliminate poverty, and at times I wonder if they exist exclusively to employ people that otherwise would be on the receiving end of the programs. If it were not for the poor these programs would not exist and the unemployment rate would skyrocket, just like our energy bills.
Here we go again with right wing bigotry against the poor like anyone chooses to be poor. FFS, that Reagan lie should have been buried with the insane doddering old fool.
Whom, Did I get it wrong. I assuming Nancy Pelosi knew what she was talking about with her "Unemployment put money into the economy" crap. Are you now telling me that the poor do not employ people?
Well gee according to your theory that the wealthy create jobs when they have more money after 30 years and counting of tax cuts to the wealthy there should be near 1% unemployment, after all in 1979 the top 2% were taxed at 70% today they are taxed at 23% without counting the loop holes used to lower that down to around 17%. Yet no job creation. That would lead someone to come to the understanding that tax cuts don't create jobs nor do the wealthy if they were able to form a thought that is. In fact like it has been repeated to you non stop every time one of you righties start bashing the poor the wealthy used those tax cuts to outsource jobs. Don't play dumb we know you righties are just repeating Reagan lies because of the types of excuses you use to excuse the wealthy from creating jobs, everything from the EPA to unions. So being a true bigot you blame people for their circumstances that they neither created or could do anything about. A bigot does what a bigot does, instead of seeing his good luck he looks at others and curses them for their bad luck blaming the poor for not being able to find work because the wealthy are out sourcing the jobs their fathers and grand fathers did. That you keep pushing education as an answer is laughable as what good is education if there are no jobs? Btw, that you seem not to understand economics is also telling, poor people buy things they need to live which in turn creates jobs for the people who make or produce those things the wealthy on the other hand hoard their money in off shore tax havens which means they are not consuming products so thus they are not helping the economy or creating jobs either.
Whom, You have a really unique way of reading things into a post. I said nothing of a theory. I simply asked you if you were now telling me the poor don't create jobs. I myself don't believe they do now or ever have. Jobs are created by businesses, some of which are owned by the wealthy and others by Middle Class income earners. Why jobs are created is generally associated with a demand for a product or service that cannot be met. Businesses do not typically create jobs just to create jobs, doing so would potentially increase the supply of a product or service, resulting in a decrease in demand and a loss in revenue. Look at what the Federal Governments Regulations and Policies have done to the Housing Market. Suggesting Home Builders should create more jobs and build more homes is crazy, the market is already flooded with available homes. Eliminating Tax Deductions or Subsidies at this time would create even more unemployment as affected Businesses would cut back in order to stay in the Black. You seem to think the answers to our economic problems can be found in one thing and one thing only Tax the Rich. Every thing is tied together, one one thing is changed it has second, third, and forth affects, that may not have been considered when the primary affect was all that was sought. The "Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending" had the desired primary affect of making loans available to low and moderate income earners. The unforeseen second affect was foreclosures as people were given loans they couldn't pay back, the third affect was a decrease in all home values resulting from the foreclosures, the forth affect was the damage done to the construction industry, and so on. The Progressive idea that every one should have a home was honorable, but their attempt to achieve that goal created the economic disaster we have today. Increasing the Taxes on the Wealthy or Corporation will have like unforeseen impacts.
Except none of that turned out to be true. It wasn't home owners that caused the collapse it was the wealthy that caused it by manipulating mortgages to make a fast fortune, But hey why let a little thing like fact get in the way of a fake outrage.
Whom, Of course it is true. The Government forced Banks to make loans to low income earners. They did it by threatening civil and criminal law suits against Banks for discrimination. The "Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending" published in April 1994 resulted in a 94% increase in loans to the poor. These are well documented facts. You may want to ignore the correlation between the two facts, but they are in deed facts.
Right the national guard went in and raised their weapons at bank officials demanding that they gave poor people loans on houses they could not afford because democrats sent them to the banks for that very reason. Then there is reality, which you don't live in, where banks gave people loans on mortgages then bundled those mortgages and sold them to the highest bidder who in turn raised peoples mortgage rates after the 0% interest rates ran out meaning that in no time people saw their $200 mortgage payments go up to $2000 which they couldn't afford. So either get in reality or stop posting because you are not spreading tea bagger lies around here. They are not facts they are made up excuses by the right to blame the poor for republican deregulation stupidity. Facts, you righties wouldn't know a fact if it bit you in the face.
Whom, Historically Whites have earned greater incomes than Blacks and Hispanics. Historically there is a higher percentage of Blacks and Hispanics that are poor than Whites. Historically Whites have a greater percentage of loan applications approved than Blacks or Hispanics. In a failed attempt to relieve the disparity in the approval rate for loan applications for Blacks and Hispanics, the "Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending" was published in April 1994. The Statement threatened Banks with civil and criminal prosecution for discrimination in lending. The result was Banks changed their loan criteria and more loans were give to low income earners, which included Black and Hispanic applicants. After the criteria was modified, there was a 94% increase in approved loans for Low Income Earners. The foreclosures followed, as many of the Low Income Earners could afford to pay the loans. I said nothing of the National Guard; I presented facts. The facts are correct. Now you may not like the correlation between the issuance of the Policy Statement and the increase in the approval rate of Low Income Earners, but the correlation still exists, as do the rest of the facts. Government intervention was in deed responsible for the Housing Crisis.
Atta boy, Ed!
Atta boy Ohions! All you unemployed dipsticks in Ohio who voted against the bill are still paying for the bloated salaries and pensions bankrupting your very own cities, counties and state! You can't get anymore stupid than you!
ED, I watched a few videos of Occupy Wall Street Protests that were really
interesting. Apparently the Protesters receive some funding from donations.
That funding is used in part to feed the Protesters. The Protesters in New York
decided to close the "Kitchen" for three days, apparently to drive out "Homeless
People". During a meeting to discuss the "Kitchen Closure", the smaller group
decided funds would go to heads of the various governing groups of the movement,
and that they would decide how to feed themselves, while the "Masses" would be
fed "a meager meal of brown rice". I think the videos do a great job of
illustrating "Human Nature", the inevitable "Greed" in leadership, and the
"Arrogance" of the "Ruling Class". The "Leaders" of the Occupy Wall Street
Protests appear to have the same "Human and Character Traits" as the evil "Wall
Street Bankers" they are protesting. "Let them eat cake" comes to mind as
the leadership will be fed, while the masses survive on brown rice. Do you
think the Bankers have infiltrated the movement and inserted themselves in
leadership positions?
