I don't mind being a part of the 99%. I'm use to it. I work, I pay my taxes, I went to school and worked for my own education. I raise my children, they are successful. I drive my own car, buy my own food, own my own home and pay my bills.....so what. I don't want to pay, some one who has plenty, taxes.
I also pray that the young growing up today and in the future to have the same advantages, so get off our back GOP.
As much as I agree with the Occupy Wallstreet protests, I feel that the price of gas is being way overlooked. It is the cost of gas that drives this economy. It is why the groceries are so high, it is why all school, city, town and state budgets are strapped and needing federal funds, it is why houses are being foreclosed on and it is why jobs have become more scarce. We are in a double-dip recession because of the GAS PRICES!!!!!!! I hope and desire that the Occupy Wallstreet protests expand to include the oil companies.
President Obama should push his jobs plan- but it is not worth much without addressing gas prices. All the republicans have to do to make President Obama look bad - is raise the gas prices- which they have done and - President Obama's poll numbers have dropped.
The cost of gas is destroying America and we even give the oil companies more money!

The price of gas where I live dropped to $2.98 a gallon today.What really concerns people is the price of food and other commodities going up and no cost of living increase. The plan should be increase the cost of living and put limits on how high the price of items can go up.

In answer to your poll, of course the Republicans are scared of this movement. They got a "mandate" in last year's election, remember? In their small and narrow minds, that meant they had the next election in the bag. Not so. This movement has the potential to make Obama's grassroots campaign look small in comparison. There are millions of Americans such as myself who have worked hard all of our lives yet are unemployed and can't get a job (8 months now for me and only one interview so far). College-educated, hard-working, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens who are watching everything we've worked for go down the drain. We bailed out you fat cats because you were too big to fail, yet you went right back to gambling with our life savings and paying yourselves huge salaries and big fat bonuses. Well guess what? WE THE PEOPLE are too big to fail! We're mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore. Hell hath no fury like a nation scorned. Be afraid, Republicans and Tea Partiers.
