"The Ed Show" is live tonight from New Orleans, Louisiana. Ed is hosting a free health care clinic run by The National Association of free clinics. So far over 1,100 patients are registered and more are expected to arrive throughout the day. All patients that come to the clinic will receive preventive primary medical care, and, if needed, referrals to local health-care providers for follow-up. To find out more about the clinic or to donate please visit their website.

I have always believed these clinics will have their place in history. These clinics R helping the least of these. Thank GOD there R people who still have a heart.
Seems appropriate that Ed is in the home of Katrina,New Orleans, tonight, when we are just starting to surveythe damage from Irene. Thank you Ed, and all the volunteers that will be working in the clinic.
gods real children at work not the fake republicons like bachmann`perry `romney and canter they satans children
I agree... none of the Repugnicons have any sane solutions to the country's problems. They are all either loonies or hypocrites. As far as God's message in the earthquake and hurricane.... Crazy Lady Bachmann got God's message wrong.
Heavenly Father is saying.... in answer to the prays of his children in need.
"The government of this country is the answer to the prayers of my children. This is why I inspired my sons John, Thomas, Benjamin, George, Samuel, Paul and the others to form this government... a government by the people and for the people... to serve the needs of it's people. The government is needed, to help those of my children who can't help themselves. To protect, shelter, feed and cloth those who are in the midst of these disasters.
But my daughter, Michelle is not listening and is not hearing my message correctly. Because of her lack of understanding of my word, she has closed her mind to my teachings and my true message and only believes what she wants to believe."
Thank you Ed for caring like you do.
And thank you to all the volunteers that work at free clinics, here in New Orleans, as well as across the United States. God Bless you All!
There but for the grace of God go I.. think about it.
I think it's a wonderful thing, free clinics much like plannedparent hood in a sense, helping those who are in need. I myself still count my lucking stars, being unemployed for two years, no insurance, no benefits and for sure no health care. These are the things people should think God for, I'm still able and healthy and stilling looking for any kind of work.
@Curtis
Just a note to say keep up the faith, and it sounds like you are. I have also been unemployed for 2 years and without health insurance for close to a year. Then this past week I found a job and will have an income, as well as health insurance again as soon as I start working in 2 or 3 weeks. It was a job I actually applied for clear back in May and they just got around to calling me for an interview.
thank god for the real americans that care about others in need!!! thats what makes the us a great country. ed i cant tell you how much i respect you and yor staff for the truth you bring out about sheer stupidity involved in the way we are treated by the goverment. iam just so tired of tea partiers that bigets, holyer than thou,lieing seperatisted minded ,arostocricey,that is so selfish that they are willing to push the poor down the hole than they are now! they should all be called upon to get down in the trenches of poverty and hopelessness that is reality for millions in the us,and try to live or just servive! maybe then something will change in washington;a little compasson for our own citizens!
the status quo will not stand much longer. they call themselves the mora-majourity ;
I SAY THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN SELFSERVING CORRUPTED THEIVES USEING GODS NAME TO CLAIM THEIR SUPERIORITY IN THEIR LOOTING OF AMERICA.
we all need to keep our eyes open and vote the BUMS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you ed you work is much needed and i for one is graetfll. thanks frank,fla
New Orleans is my home, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to MSNBC and NAFC for your continued support. THANK YOU to Ed Schultz for all you have done and continue to do, not just for NOLA, but for our entire country. You sir, are one of a kind, I don't know how much worse off we would all be if not for your tireless efforts to make life for ALL the citizens of this country.
You are the best! Thank you for always shining the light where it needs to be! This country must learn in 2011 and beyond to work this all out together! Rich or poor people ought to care about other people. This nation needs to get that part back together. Somehow it feels forgotten. We trust you and others will keep up the good fight!
Ed, please Tell republicans, if you like to cut the expenses why do not you cut one or two Big one a year from the $3 B a year that goes to Israel, there is an old saying" if we need a light at home it is not right to light up the church" another word Americans they come first.
This should send a message, loud and clear, that this country desperately needs health care reform. The USA is the only Country in the free world that still has a for profit heath care system. The republicans seem to think that only the wealthy elite are deserving of a good education and health care. Oh yes, and those tax breaks that create jobs. Congress needs to start working for the American people and not a select group of sugar daddies.
