seen this and though i share it. not saying it s100% but saying in the long run is close to being true.
I hope everyone takes the time to actually understand the deal, not just GOP and media talking points about how much the GOP won. Let us be clear on what the GOP won:
1. They won the reputation of being intransigent and radical extremists who are willing to destroy the economy to keep the rich from paying higher taxes. That won't help them in 2012.2. They won $2.5T in spending cuts which is $1.5T less than what credit rating agencies say we need to retain our Triple-A credit rating. They successful botched a $4T deal that could have taken the downgrade off the table [so the threat remains].3. They won historic spending cuts in defense of $350B [something their base will HATE]. This will help insure the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will come to an end.4. They won a vote on a balanced budget amendment that will FAIL in the House and the Senate.5. They won a bicameral congressional committee [proposed by Harry Reid] with tax reforms on the table.6. They won a major concession that allows the Bush tax cuts to still EXPIRE in 2012. They forced President Obama to say that he will veto any extension of those cuts if revenue is not part of the congressional committee's report.7. They won the humiliation of the Speaker of the House who could not pass a bill with 240 members of his own party.8. They won the scorn of the rest of the world for holding the global financial system hostage.9. They won the disrespect of the Wall Street Journal who referred to them as "hobbits" living in fantasy land.10. They won accolades from the main stream media that fawns over them anyway.
But the most important thing that they won was the only thing they really wanted... over-reaction and threats from the left about a deal they don't even understand. They hear slogans like cuts-only, they freak. They hear no revenues, they freak. They are so upset about these slogans, they can't see what the President actually accomplished. I will list what the President won in a separate post...
Borrowed from a very smart DC Lawyer
Pilotshark,
What I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, is that the majority of the Republican Party has shown itself to truly deserve the titles of Obstructionists and Hostage Takers, especially the TeaParty segment. The fact that they where willing to send this country immediately over the cliff; the fact they have shown that they could care less about the Middle Class and Working Poor; the fact that they obviously feel that our Government's Safety Net commitments mean nothing; the fact that their "Where Are the Jobs?" mantra has truly proven to be nothing but political theater and that they could care less about good jobs for average Americans; the fact that they fervently worked and continue to work for mega corporations and billionaires disregarding what is economically best for the whole country; all these things and more, should be clear to all Americans who believe in the real American Dream and Justice. I can hardly wait intil 2012 to cast my votes. I will be be working very hard to educate as many as I can about the Agenda of the Republican Party. That agenda might best be summed up this way: The GOP - Working Tirelessly to Protect Corporate Welfare!
PS, Wish I could forward you the political cartoon that appeared in our morning paper here in NM....TM said I should describe it for you. A donkey and an elephant with their hands reaching to the center holding a dead skunk by the tail and with their out side hand both of them holding their nose and trunk tightly shut. That sums it up!
Ann, I am with you on that.
So it is patriotic when wealth from taxes is redistributed UP the social ladder . . .
And it is socialism when wealth from taxes are redistributed DOWN the social ladder . . .
They have the money! WE have the VOTE!!
They have AstroTurf! WE have REAL GRASSROOTS!!
They have lies and mis-truths! WE have Facts and WE THE PEOPLE!!
Instead of down the social ladder! Starting with those at the top. Hell they are the ones who get all the perks while we just scrape by. They are always first and we THE PEOPLE are always last, and forgotten, until they need our slave labor.
Pilotshark
Good analysis of the "winnings" that the GOP got with their excapades last month. It seems that they could also claim the title of "American-born Terrorists" too. I hope that the people in Wisconsin remember what problems the GOP caused in DC when we have the recalls of the 6 GOP Senators next week and create some semblance of order in this great state.
Pilotshark- Why President Obama did not invoke the 14th Amenment ? He could have stopped all these.
Sen
not sure, however if i had to make a swag!
i say something about a under staff over worked DOJ and a very super under staff of federal judges. which would have meant total FUBAR. imho
House GOP decision to go home puts 70,000 construction workers out of work, costs taxpayers $1.2 billion.
in the words of the non-leader weeper/speaker
SO BE IT!!!!
sadly if its good for AMERICA then it has to be very bad for the teapubliecants!
seems only thing they care about is their pay checks (one form US, the other from their handlers/enablers)
PS, "Forget about the government having the ability to protect the people from corporations who want to evade Clean Air Act and Clean Water act regulations." Kochroaches waiting for the lights to come on. "With massive cuts in the EPA, the resources will not be there. Forget about this country having the investment capability to transform our energy system to energy efficiency and sustainable energy." now they ask for permission?" Forget about creating millions of jobs rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure and improving our public transportation system." says senator Sanders.
Thankful Mom,
Don't 4 get about the vote 4 the FAA in rural America and the people that will be missing PayChecks trying 2 get by on unemployment.
The millions of tax dollars the government will lose from the sale airline tickets.
HSBC is laying off thousands of people. That insures the Repuckliecons that more people will be in the unemployment lines.
How can U dislike a sitting President so badly that U would destroy an economy that has stood the test of time since the Great Depression.
Evil is alive and present and Satan has reared his evil head.
The goodness of GOD will never persuade good people 2 ruin the entire World's Economy. The RePucks, Grover Norquist, the Koch Brothers and other big fat cat millionaires from the Corporate World with pen and paper has equated such destruction.
GOD help us and those who will give up and break under the pressure of RePucks who like Paul said have a form of godliness but deny the powers that be.
from Daliykos,
Republicans, not 'Washington' or 'Congress,' are responsible for FAA shutdown
as like Mitch says Hostage taken is the way we roll know.
Who cares who is to blame that is getting old. They need to put them back to work and stop trying to bust out all the unions for under paid wages. They can afford to pay good wages.
We don't have to make all these cut. Adopting a fair budget plan which ends tax breaks for the wealth and large corporation. While small business owners were being turned down for loans, the Federal Reserve provided trillions of dollars at near zero interest to large financial institution, major corporations and some of the wealthiest people in the world according to a new audit that Bernie Sander requested.
Mom maybe you don't know this but small business changed from businesses with 100 or less workers to businesses with less then 100 owners. Today there are something like 54 Fortune 500 businesses listed as small business. In case you don't know Fortune 500 keeps track of the wealthiest businesses, if memory serves I believe all 54 are in the top 100 wealthiest. It was changed so businesses with 500+ workers could get small business tax breaks, another Reagan gift.
Thanks, I do know that may big corps. hid behind the front of "SMALL BUSINESS" while they are really part and parcel....big business pretending to be small. Did I get that right????
Yep thats about the gist of it.
twim mom
please explain this definition by the small business administration which is the official definer of the term .
www.sba.gov/content/what-sbas-definition-small-business-concern
It is decided on by business to business, meaning a mom and pop store has a different definition of small business then say a contractor or a factory. Some are small businesses because of having less then 500 employees while other types of businesses are determined by the number of owners or partners. It all depends on what type of business it is. TC found his information for small businesses for contractors, but that only determines the size of contractor businesses and out lines what is and isn't a small business in that business field. It used to be decided on profit before Reagan.
Congress does not need to be worrying about cutting anything or raising any taxes until they get the people back to work. This will produce revenues. Also they need not go out and start anymore wars are find any other way to blow our money unless it is to put Americans back to work. I am a left leaning but common sense Independent who listens to all who voice their opinions to form my philosophy.
I use the opinions of the people to the true facts and history plus my common sense then I sift and come to my opinion.
Cant wait till 2012 I agree with you there. Having to fight these wars is really the main cause of our financial problems.
Oh Wait,Can't, I'll bit on this one. We could cut millions in the military by getting rid of all the Contract companies they now hire, and the Black water types.....We don't have to cut the bases and put the REAL AMERICAN Government Issue (GI) out of jobs.I don't think their paychecks amount to a hill of beans as compared to the over paid contractors...The GI can take on the task at a lower rate, they always use to. Why hire a contrat crew to cook, put up tents, and all of that....just go back to team work and KP assignment....just like they got in training.
We should also close military bases in Europe. The Europeans can now take care of themselves. Then they could open the bases in the US that they've closed in the past. It would keep our military well trained, ready to respond to problems, keep the money in the US and create local jobs.
They also need to close development progams for new weapons. I don't know of any other country that has such a good and well trained military as the US. Our present weapons systems, with upgrades, can do the job very well. One thing that could be done would be to make sure that our military services can communicate between themselves. Poor intra-service communication is a problem and that should be solved.
Social Security is solvent, except for the IOU's. It does not belong in the defecit reduction duscussion.
OMG, Thankful Mom. No filibusters??? How will the republicans be able to function? This is a crisis!!!
Not a bad clause negotiated by that "comunity organizer."
"Social Security is solvent,
Maybe not 100% but its still got 27 years before it hits the wall and lowers pay outs to 75%
To help it and make it totally solvent again WE ONLY NEED GET JOBS JOBS JOBS!!!!!
I was watching CNN report that one day after saving the American people from economic disaster (Thanks alot!!) all economic indications show we are going into another "recession". Someone help me out, but I thought we were already in one! When do we define it as a depression, or is that politically incorrect? Thank you!!!
Re 9-5
Val
I heard on a talk show today that Rush Limpbrains has told his audience to infiltrate left wing talk shows and blogs such as this and pretend that they are progressives unhappy with President Obama over the debt ceiling conpromise in order to divide the Presidents liberal base I have been trying to verify this by searching the net, but haven't had any luck yet, but this type of sleazy tactic would be right up his alley. This might wxplain some of the "new " bloggers statements.
Thank you fired up. You never have to worry about me describing myself as a "progressive." In my view that's akin to calling yourself a Marxist.
Kudos on that post. I must admit, I don't know what Rush may have said, but once again, he actually lends credence to my posts.
I must admit, I don't know what Rush may have said, but once again, he actually lends credence to my posts.
LMAO,,,, if that is what you need to lend credence to your post,,, you are in deep trouble.
LOLminnow - you are a laughing stock. Is there any points you actually get?
bookworm
there is an official definition of a recession that is two consecutive quarters of no growth or minus growth. We had that in the last quarter. The problem with this definition is that it does not take into consideration the baseline which is very low .
Firedup, I heard that also, but I did not hear it myself, it was second hand, but it wouldn't surprise me. If you read can't wait's first post, that's exactly how he starts his posts. Very respectful, I thought great we have another sane Republican like thoughtful conservative. Boy, was I wrong. I guess you can only keep your game face on for so long before it starts slipping and the real you is revealed. Just like Pat Buchanan, he is a political analyst for MSNBC and that really surprised me the first time I saw him on air. Those of us old enough to remember Pat in his younger days, remember him as a bigoted, racial person who ran for President but never could make it past the primaries, and for good reason I might add. Now, he tries to clean up his act, but he hasn't changed is views on non white people. He slips up every once in a while and he makes a racial slur. Calling President Obama boy the other day is not the first time he has slipped up. He's refered to him as his kind, keeps questionable friends, etc. He does this often. So do people like the person I blocked last night, starts out respectful, like Rush instructed them to do. First couple of posts were very good, but after several, they started sounding like a Republican, which is also ok. Many fine Republicans out there. Hi TC, you are one of my friends that is definately a Republican, but one with good values like my elder generations Republicans. After a while this "respectful Independent" went from sounding like a Republican to an all out Tea Party member. Using exact same phrases, insults and words others have used to be condescending and insulting. Just couldn't take him anymore so, like I did with Politicalwatcher, Sarge and nasty Mike, I blocked him. Don't have to see or him play his violin anymore. I'll be able to tell from how you all respond to him. I figured if I blocked him that was one less audience member he could play to.
val thanks for the kind words like my old repub role model Everett Dirksen you can disagree without being disagreeable.
I saw this on rachel maddow and the minute i heard they had been flown home without doing their jobs...... Â well - little bullies do things for a reason.
Â
See your stuff is old, Cant Wait. Both Wiener and Wu resigned. How come you arent demanding Vitter do the same but instead you protect him.
What degree was "Diaper" David Vitter held to?
Oh and if you are so independent , why arent you outraged that Rep Walsh hasnt paid his Child Support for 9 years. Its against the law...that is, for most of us. Where's your outrage over that, ideological zombie?
Can't wait till 2012, I believed you when you said you were an Indpendent with right leaning views. After reading you posts, I am starting to find this hard to believe. You do not sound like an Independent, you sound like a true Republican. That is not a bad thing. I have many Republican friends who are rethinking their allegience to their party. What I have a problem with is someone who professes to be an Indpendent who really is a Repbulican. Just be honest about who you really are. You have said nothing that has been positive about Democrats, all you have done is critize and tell us how great the Republicans are and how the Tea Party has made us look at Federal spending. Why are you only looking at it now? You didn't seem to have a problem with Federal spending under Reagan and not one but two Bush presidents. You also seem to have selective hearing. After congress passed this rediculous plan, Mitch M got before the cameras and said that the days of a clean raise of the debt ceiling are over. From now on there will be amendments attached. Not very pleasing to hear a man who has been a politician for such a long time, make a statement like that. Republicans of my generation and my parents and grandparents were NOT bullies. It seems Mitch likes how bullying by extemists who are only interested in obstructing progress out of this horrible economy to make them look great in 2012 and the President look bad. My dad taught me one very good lesson, you can't reason with people who are unreasonable and you can't trust people who misrepresent who they really are to gain your trust. That's what the Tea Party did in 2010 and that's what YOU are doing on this site by representing yourself as an Indpendent when your words tell us you are a Republican. What's the matter, are you ashamed to admit you are a Republican, or are you just trying to mislead us so that you can campaign for Republicans on this site?
See can't wait, I keep my word.
These sneaky, cheating Sons of reps tactics leave a congressmen in the house and one in the senate while they are sitting on their lazzzzzy assets sipping their kool-aid on our dime, So Obama can't sign a bill to put the FAA people back to work at huge cost to the American people, and the cost to those who should be working on their jobs... They are a bad piece of work. Obstructionist!!!
I also just learned that the tax you pay on your airline ticket is suppose to go to the FAA....Guess what the Airlines are just keeping that money for their profit now, When it could be keeping all these people working.....Why are the reps and t-babies so afraid of the Union in this case?????? Come on Kochroaches, don't you want to bug with me?
Thankful Mom, you are correct and they pointed the finger at Delta as being the worst. Unfotunately for me, Delta is the power house airline in the Twin Cities and they are the only ones who offer non stop flights to the places that I fly to. However, on the National evening news programs and local news programs we see in Minnesota, Delta was shamed into REFUNDING the money that goes to the FAA back to their passengers. I am sending a very strong letter of disappoval and how I will support new airlines that want to make their home base in Minnesota or even just to grow ones already here. Hopefully, this might hit the pocket books of Delta's CEOs and start having some reasonable rates. Before they bought out Northwest Airlines, Northwest had a strangle hold on how many gates in our airport that they held. This literally prohibited any other airlines who could give them any kind of competition to adding more gates or even entering/starting a new airline. We pay the highest rate than any other city accross the country for airfares. Delta/Northwest sets the prices here and all the other airlines follow suit and charge us more. The most disgusting thing that happened here was when Northwest was going to file Chapter 11, they asked our state for financial help in bailing them out. Ok, the govenor bailed them out with the provision that they keep their base of operations in Minneapolis, and that the create new jobs for the people of Minnesota. If, at any time, they broke these stipulations, they would be forced to RETURN ALL THE MONEY our state gave to them. So, what happens, Northwest sells out to Delta who is based out of Atlanta, making them the largest air carrier in the country. They immediately moved their Nothwest Minnesota base to Atlanta, costing thousands of jobs to the citizens of Minnesota making our unemployment rate skyrocket. They didn't care that they had to pay back the billions of dollars that was stolen from our state, the now were the BIGGEST airline in our country and they could afford to pay back the money that was taken. The problem was it didn't fix the job losses that we had. Also, they jacked up their prices to MN fliers and try to strip Delta workers of their unions. Nice company, not. They have an even stonger hold on the gates here in the Twin Cities making it very hard to chose another carrier.
good analysis of the Delta deal
Thank you TC, when corporations get to big the consumer pays for it in the end. When I was in my early 20s, the Twin Cities had many air lines to choose from. There was Eastern, TWA, United, Northwest Orient, Delta, Continental, KLM, Luftansa, just to name a few. Air fares were reasonable, and at that time, no airline was allowed to be a "super power airline" Then certain airlines started gobbling up other airlines. Some mergers were denied because it would make the airline so big that others could not compete. Northwest actually tried to buy one of the major/largest airlines and were denied the opportunity, because of the fair competition laws. So they bought up smaller airlines like KLM, Contenital, etc. Northwest was one of the most profitable carriers in the Nation. When gas prices skyrocketed, Northwest made a critical error. All of the other airlines purchased millions of gallons of fuel at the lower prices and when they need fuel, they tapped into the fuel the were smart enough to purchase at far lower prices. They were allowed to keep the lower prices for more than one year, I can't remember how many. Well, Northwest suffered from not taking advantage of the fuel rates. They thought the gas hike was because of Desert Storm and prices would go back down and even lower. They were counting on us winning the Gulf War and snatching up all the oil in countries like Kiwait. Well, we didn't actually win the war, we pulled out leaving Sadam H. in power in the middle east. Needless to say gas prices did not come down, they steadily rose. Minnesotans were able to find much cheaper air fares from other carriers who didn't take the gamble and Northwest nearly had to declare bankruptcy. Our state bailed them out. Then all of a sudden the airlines were deregulated, now they could buy up airlines as large as theirs or even larger. Northwest took advantage of that new deregulation and sold out to Delta, causing an ungodly job loss rate in MN. We still have not completely recovered, actually it is worse because of the recession. So, this is my little history lesson on corporations that gobble up their competition so that they can increase the price of the product or service they sell. No competition more money for them and less jobs at fair wages for us. Less jobs period.
Ah, "cant wait until 2012", you first post sounded somewhat reasonable but I see it didnt take long for you to resort to the one thing the Tea Party knows how to do and thats attack others. To act indignant when someone quotes a Daily Kos article is pretty silly when you are on a left leaning blog. Oh and yes there are some people that make up quotes vs using the facts. Like Sarge for example, who is a Tea Partier here and said Jesus said give a man a fish and he eats for the day....when in fact that was a Chinese Proverb not what Jesus said. Oh and then Sarge accused others of saying the Bill of Rights was written by white bigots...when in fact it was but Sarge isnt aware that the original version was indeed written by white men and the rights only applied to white men, it was only after it was amended numerous times that they finally included blacks, women and other Americans, not just white men. So yep, people here do really makes up quotes using the facts and those people doing it happen to be Tea Partiers.
On the FAA hostage taking, the Tea Party Republicans are attempting to take away their right to unionize, the same battle that is being fought all over the country. So because of that, once again we are held hostage, up to 90,000 people arent working even though the TP says they care about jobs, they have a funny way of showing it. And they are supposedly concerned about our deficit but yet we stand to lose 1.2 bill in ticket tax revenue. All the while while Boehner sends the House on a 5 week vacation, so they vaca while other people have lost their jobs. They know full well these job losses will show up in the next unemployment numbers and their reason is to make the President look bad. What a bunch of destructive, treasonist Tea Party Republicans. They should all forefeit their pay and paid time off if they choose to stay away while the have put 90,000 people out of work.
for being new he sure sounds like a few that have been here for a while.
guess the next few post will show just how new he is.
smiling.
Yeah its the same ol tired TP bs. Right now shows exactly what they are about, going on vacation for 5 weeks while putting 90,000 out of work and causing our country to lose over 1 bill in revenues. Hypocrits.
I think the President should say that the airline workers being out of work is a National security risk and put them back to work on those conditions. Reagan fired Air traffic controllers didnt he so I think Obama should order them all back to work and deal with the consequences later.
smiling
another spin master 2000 i see. no matter how hard you spin it just does not work out for you.
oh its call standing tall and not given in to hostage takers, which we can do here, as appose to having the terrorist shoot the hostage and destroy America.
and that shooting the Hostage thing comes from Mitch.
Cmon on I know you do not want to see millions of Americans Unemployed just over political in difference do you Cant wait till 2012 because the unemployed cannot wait till 2012 they need their jobs now.People working is not considered socialism unless all their monies are going to the government and then that is communist socialism right. There is a big difference.
Louis
Thanks,, and yes There is a Very Big Difference.
People working is not considered socialism unless all their monies are going to the government and then that is communist socialism right. There is a big difference.
I am not going to name call and be vulgar to can't wait till 2012, I am going to state a fact. This person is not an Independent voter, this person is a Republican misrepresenting who they truly are to us. It seems to be a new tactic, be respectful with stating your views and I would be fine with that. We have Republicans on this site who are respectful when they comment. What I have a problem with is misrepresenting who you really are to gain trust and to repeat nothing but Republican views. An true Indpendent states what is good and bad about bothe parties. What this person is doing is only stating negatives about Dems and positives about Repubs. There is no mixture in this persons comments and that tells me she/he is lying to us. They fooled a lot of voters in 2010 and this person is using the same tactics here. Well, I for one am not buying the misrepresentation. If you can't be truthful about who you really are and what you believe without misrepresenting yourself, then I will not believe anything you say.
PS, in your first post you said you have been lurking in the background. Is it possible you were lurking under a different name? Just a thought!
Lurking isnt that what Jack the Ripper or The Phantom of the Opera does?
Do you support what the reichwingnuts are doing by holding the FAA hostage to help kill the airline unions who ARE private?
What are government funded public unions? I am currently a proud union member working in the public sector. My union takes no money from the government. It is funded by the dues that my co workers and I are happy to pay.
As Ed would say "talk about government funded public unions is just plain psycho talk."
Sam, you are so correct. can't wait started out with the I'm an Indpendent and seemed to be reasonable at first. It didn't take long for his/her true colors to come roaring to the top. Misrepresents who he really is to gain respect and trust and then parrots the same words and phrases that we have heard so many times under different names. They don't seem to understand that the actual Dems on this site are NOT stupid, irgnorant or senile. Yet, they still practice to deceive. It really does get boring after awhile. Used to be fun exposing them for who and what they are, but the game is really getting old.
Sam, thought you'd be interested to know that can't wait says he's been lurking around for awhile, he can't have been lurking too long since he just joined the vine yesterday or today. Would love to know what other names this person is posting under.
vAL FURTG reality check.
there are two count them two FAA funding bills. one is the permanent bill. that bill has clauses unfavorable to unions . that bill is not what has caused the layoffs.
There is a second short term bill that has passed the house and was sent to the senate who failed to enact. That failure is what has caused the layoffs. that short term bill contains no union busting. What it does include are massive federal subsidies to small airports that can't sell enough tickets to keep an airline servicing their community . The house bill eliminates that subsidy. That is the only objection by Harry Reid he wants to fight for that PORK. There are 13 total. One of the most expensive is in Harry Reids home town ( I wonder how that happened?) The subsidy that you and i pay for is about $3400 per ticket. To protect this hometown pork he is letting 4000 FAA workers and about 70,000 construction workers go without pay checks. here is an ABC ( not Fox) report the issue is about 2 thirds of the way down. You can't click on my links you must cut and paste. It will be interesting if anybody ranting about the union deal will apologize to me as i have to this blog when i have been wrong. Your reaction will tell if you really are interested in truth or talking points Surfs Up.

Way to try and spin it CWF2012. Did the goverment start the unions or where they started by the workers? Employees negociated wages agreed to by the state. They pay union dues with the money they earn. Thats the way it works. To say goverment funded unions is BS at best.
So, it's ok if the Kock brothers, Rupert Murdoch, Carl Rove and Dick Armey just to name a few, poor in millions of dollars to reichwingnut campaigns to defeat Democrats but the unions have no right to contribute to the Dems? Your narrow mind amazes me. The reason, and it's not fiscally motivated by the neocons, is to destroy unions, period. Get rid of Unions and no more democratic party. Sounds like a senario that happend in Germany in the 30's.
aren't those people using their personal money? what if a union member happens to be a republican. Is it right to take his dues and give to someone he dislikes? What if y9u are a union member anmd do not like anybody. Same problem. Union dues are to pay for membership services.
remember they have a play book you don't. As someone who has been involved in marketing real estate products most of my life it is a principle that repetition can create belief in a product. if you say a brand name over and over again it can influence people to buy what they ordinarily would not.
America Will Be Forgotten
Right before our eyes we are witnessing the slow demise of the greatest nation on earth. Once a light to the world, it now appears that America is no longer under God's grace, and sadly, it's due to our own ignorance and failure to see our politicians for who they really are. We hold the rich in high esteem while they ridicule and oppress struggling Americans, and we stand by silently while our country is being sold off, piece by piece, to countries that loathe us. Some in the Republican Party now worship the Tea Party's money, and the Democrats are too cowardly to stand up for the people anymore. Worst of all, the rich have divided Republicans and Democrats while the country continues to crumble. The rich are gloating because again, they have successfully avoided paying taxes and are effectively taking our government down. I am a Veteran, a Progressive, and a State Worker, and my wife is a Republican and a former business owner. I'm Black and she's White. We worked out our differences. If we as a country don't find a way to work together America is destined to become just another forgotten empire.
"At a time when 50 million American already have no health insuranc. Reps are proposing to cut hundreds of villions of dollars from Medicaid. That means that many men, women and children will sose the health insurance they have. Acording to a Harvard University study, some 45,000 Americans die each year because they don't get to a doctor when they should. How many more will die if Medicaid is slashed? How many children will be thrown off the Children's Helth Insurance Pragram?" says Senator Sanders.
I guess that will keep them from starting another war to control our out of control population.
Republicans still insist that they care about workers and ending America’s job crisis. Unfortunately, by standing up for airline companies and against the 74,000 people they have put out of work, their actions continue to tell a different story.
LOL sadly here is a BIG JOKE played on America!!
guess now a days all we have to do is say Republican and that should start a good laugh.
They are working on it. Bone head saying he got 98% of what he wanted and Obama and the Democrats gave him nothing...The Committees will meet and he'll void them out with his veto pen.....The Laugh is on them all RIGHT....You know it is true when you hear RL the Lush admit it.....
Also, Fox news knowing that they have been had only want to talk about the dangers of birthcontrol.....They are afraid that if birtcontrol is used not enough white republican babies will be born.
Fox news
is being expose for what they are a political propaganda entertainment channel.
smiling it`s nice to know they are having a hard time keeping up with Sponge Bob.
At least it is fun to watch sponge bob square pants. HA, HA!
and more educational as well.
funny they could use bob`s pants to fit their square heads.
speaking of education I'll throw in another Bernie Sanders statement for the Kochroaches:
" Child care and college education already are unaffordable for millions of working families. Head Start has a long waiting-list. If Republicans get their way, pell grants and other education programs to get young people ready for jobs, will be deeply slashed. Afforable child care and college education will no longer be possible for the middle class in our country.?
I think Bernie Sanders is the only politician that knows how the system works and dont work in peoples lives. It is good to legislate programs and make cuts but do they really see how they are working or who they are affecting and how. Do they Care?
And if there were term limits in his state the state would have lost one of the best public servants to term limits.
Gotcha on that point. Maybe we need to put politicians on a point system and base it on polls and what they have accomplished to term limits. Maybe offer a list of their accomplishments at the polling place where you can see before you make a choice as to what they have done and what they stand for.
term limits
well we Do have Term Limits every 2, 4 , 6 years!
Exactly and they have worked just fine for 200+ years until the GOP started whining that with all of the money corporations pour into their campaigns they can't get elected, so its that Democrats stay in office to long. So now we have a congress and senate that rely on lobbyists to teach the new members the ropes. Then the GOP cry babies wonder how the US got so mixed up with lobbyists. Circle firing squad at play.
Yesterday in the Examiner was an article by Jullie Driscoll....compares Republicans to domestic abusers:
http://www.examiner.com/liberal-in-chicago/republicans-fit-the-profile-of-a-classic-abuser
Well, let's see the topics were: Today, Budget, Health care, Wall St./Banks, Jobs, Economy, FAA, Regulation, Terrorism, Republican Candidates, and Crooks and Liars, and I thought some of my Friends here might be interested in the comparison of how the Republicans use methods like abusers doto control their Victims. I thought it was worth the read. They can decide for themselves. So why do you object?
Oh and here we have Cant Wait, objecting again. says he doesnt like the blame game but yet if you read his other posts, he's full of blame. Acts like he's above it all when in reality he's involved just as much as anyone else. Cant Wait is so noble....at least in his own mind. Says he's open-minded but yet has not one good thing to say about anything liberal and has praise coming out of his ears for the Tea party, says the TP stands for honesty and integrity. We all know what Cant Wait is all about.
Save your bullying for someone who cares, Lurch! Thank you Sam!
tm
just to clarify you are calling Reid, Pelosi Obama VICTIMS that can't take care of themselves when confronted with 20 or 30 idiot teabaggers who have no legislative experience. You sure are granting them a lot of power let alone downgrading the Dems to powerless. I do not see them as victims but that is what makes horse races.
Ok gosh darn it you people ran off the sock puppet before I could play with him, thats not fair. Mom I thought you already knew that about the GOP, whenever they bring the wives out for a photo opt or after they have been caught up in some really perverted sex scandal, the wives are doped up, they are so wired that if you hooked up speakers to them Jimmy Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner would come blasting out. Who can forget McCains blow up where he called his wife filthy names in front of the press no less.
Then there are things that GOP women say that speaks volumes to trained abuse professionals, they all say women must obey their husbands wishes, their husbands wear the pants and make the decisions because that is what good christian women do.
He either couldn't wait, or got tired of Lurking....No I just though it was a good comparison for what they do to all people, hit anyone who gets in the way of their TARGET!
sorry about that Whom, you can have the next one, LOL!
Pilotshark,
Good analysis of the GOP and their "winnings". They proved to the world that they are an obstructionist party. They also seem to want to earn the title of "American Terrorists". With all that has happened in DC, I hope that next week the voters of Wisconsin will remember what happened in DC and vote out the 6 GOP Senators that we have up for recall and provide some semblance of order to this wonderful state.
I find it entertaining that the Tea Party influence has resulted in less spending cuts than was proposed by Biden's Gang of Six and talks at the White House with President.
The Tea Party may have good intentions but at no point have they ever put anything on the table other than whining and excuses.
Fact is without added revenues the national debt has little hope of being paid off in a timely fashion. Now whether these GOP freshmen are too stupid to understand that or what I really just don't know.
Another sign that we need to invest in education.
Well they are the GOP after all and the GOP has a history of running up the bills and running off before they have to pay for them, typical dead beats, its like the BiL that the little lady convinces you to let move in because he will "help" with the bills, then 2 days before the bills come in, you find that while you were out with the little lady he has packed his bag's and disappeared without a thank you note, even. Then you start discovering little things missing around the house, not really important or expensive but rather an inconvenience because you need to use it. Then the bills start coming in and everyone of them has been run up 300% since you let the BiL move in. Then at a family get together you run into the BiL and ask him where the money is for the bills he ran up, remember he promised he would help pay them off as soon as his pay check came in. Instead you get him saying I owe you nothing, you let me run up the bills besides its your fault because you didn't try to stop me from running up the bills. That is the GOP in a nut shell, a worthless free loading dead beat who has done it to everyone more then once.
Has anyone noticed the difference in Chris Matthews reporting the last few nights? He seems to be making contradictory statments and taking cheap shots at the President. Last night he said more than once that he is tired of Obama talking and doing nothing to help the Dems. This is the same man who has a commercial that runs during his program telling how exceptional Obama is and he can't understand why people think he doesn't love our country. Last night he came a hair short of blamming the President for everything that went wrong and how he gave into the Tea members. What happened here, did I miss something? Has the station gotten to Chris about his Liberal views? Don't know but I sure do not like it. Wow, talk about abandoning your friend who has been shot just so you can save yourself. Tell me if I'm off base here, because I sure hope that I AM.
Thats Tweety, he flip flops faster then a GOP congressman who gets caught with his hands in an under age boys boxers. Some days he is pro Democrat other days you'd swear he worked for Rupert Murdoch. He isn't someone I would rely on for information, but he is good for giving you things to research on your own after the show.
They are trying to take an Independent slant to their reporting.
I can get mean too. In fact I am meaner than most of my friends here. Just ask them.
Awe LD your just a sheep in wolfs clothing LOL.
LD is the meanest sheep I know. We fear him when he gets mad.
Val
It is my suspicion that the talking heads are setting up to back someone in the Dems to challenge Obama and they are going to subtly run him down to skew the public opinion. I could be wrong and usually am when trying to figure out Dem tactics but this is just a thought. There are some dems out there threatening to challenge him/
There are some dems out there threatening to challenge him/
name one
TC, you could be right, but there is just one problem with that thought, there is not one Democrat who has enough experience or who could have a different outcome that the President had with the Tea Party. I can't think of a Democrat who could take the nomination away from Obama, and if someone did, all that would do is splinter our party just like the Republican/Tea Party. No, Americalost is sadly correct, we are destroying our own country with our unwillingness to work together to bring about change. He said that the President and the Dems are cowards and can't stand up for us. There is one fundamental flaw in that statement. It was not the President who caused this and it really wasn't the economy, it was a RECESSION brought on by Bush/Cheney getting us into 3 wars that we couldn't pay for and blowing through the surplus that was left to them by Clinton. No, my friend, we did it to ourselves. In 2008, we voted for Obama because he was cool, calm and collected and promised to work with the Republicans in a reasonable and bipartisan way. We liked the reasonable man we saw running for President and we overwhelmingly voted for him. On the day the man was sworn into office, people like Mitch McC. got up and told the Nation that his goal and the goal of his party was to make Obama a one term president. Those are the nutcase Michellle Bachmanns favorite words. And she, along with Mitch, Boehner and the Republicans have made that their only concern. Those statements made by the Repubs should have sent us a message. They were absolutely not going to work with the president, they were going to work against him, by voting against any jobs creating packages put on the table and also filibustering in the senate every bill that could get this country back on the track. So, 2010 rolls around, Dems and progressives are mad because the President couldn't fix the devastated economy and create jobs in under 2 years. We made 2 critical errors, we became complacient when the mid term elections rolled around and we were impatient that the economy was not recovering fast enough. We also forgot why this was happening. The Republicans said either you extend the Bush tax cut policies or if you don't, we will vote to not extend unemployment benefits and they would vote to raise the taxes on the middle class, and they had the votes to do it. So, the President took one for the team. But everyone forgot the blackmail, negative votes on job packages and filibusting that the Republicans did to not only keep unemployment high and the economy recovery very slow. Like children some Dems, progressives, and Independent voters listen to the new kids in town who were promising them everything. They were going to create jobs, put Americans back to work, cut spending and we'd all be living in a rose garden world. The American voters, Democrats, Republicans, Independent, Swing voters and the lazy voter turned the house over to the new kids on the block. Then the voters got the shock of their lives when the new freshmen Tea Party members who promised them everything, once they took office on stolen promises, misrepresentation and bigotry, they stabbed the voters in the back. We were shocked that as soon as they could, they went out to destroy the middle class worker, they wanted to take the safety net away from our seniors who have been paying into these programs all their working lives. They went after unions, trying to bust them and to take away workers right to collective bargaining. Wisconsin becaming the testing ground and with a majority in both houses of government, they set about destroying the working class people. They stripped them of all their rights, all in the name of balancing their budget. Well, when they saw the backlash good old Walker took a call who he thought was the biggest contributor to his campaign and talked to the "fake" kock brother for quite a while and discussed how they were going to trick the Dems to stop their protesting by planting trouble makers in with the protesters, lying to get the Senators who left town so that this bill couldn't pass and generally let the American people know who was really in charge of these Republican Govenors, congressmen and senators it was the wealthy hBrothers calling the shots. So, now we have a Republican controlled Congress and Tea Partiers in the senate willing to filibust any vote to put our country back on track. Problem, the voters have not seen one jobs bill, no help for the poor, and they have seen them let their Religious beliefs take away planned parenthood/ birth control from poor families and insist that they bring babies into poverty for the tax payer to foot the bill. Foot the bill we must because we care about innocent children born to parents that can't take care of them and who, in some cases, just plain don't want them. That isn't good enough for Republicans, they want to hold the debt ceiling hostage and connect the vote to spending cuts, something that has NEVER happened in the history of our country. There we have it T-publicans saying we are going to let the USA default, become a government that other countries will not respect, throw the economy into a depression worse than 1929 and we don't care about the middle class, we must protect the richest and wealthist CEOs and neighbors. We must also protect foreign Oil Barons, not even Americans, and keep their subsidies at all cost, even though they are making the highest profits in history. Somehow, this is ALL President Obama's fault, we had nothing to do with it, we didn't make it impossible to negotiate and reason with the unreasonable. Now some Dems, Independents and swing voters want to point the finger away from them, blame the President and show the world how spoiled and selfish Americans really are. Isn't that what our enemies have said for years. We need to vote people into office who will work with the President for the good of all Americans. I don't care if they are Independents, Democrats or Republicans who really do care about all of the people, not just the wealthy. I have known good Republicans in my day and I voted for them, however, they are hard to come by these days. We need people like Bernie Sanders, Al Franken and yes, some proud and patriotic Republicans who don't sign pledges to people like Grover Norquist instead of pledging to do what's best. I could be wrong about what I learned in my American History class, but anyone who signed an allegience to any party other than the American Government was a traitor. Do I see some traitors in our midst?
pilot shark
www.blogs.sacbee.com/capitolalertlatest/2011/08/barack-obama-california-democratic-party-progressive-caucus.html
Val look at all the dems who signed this pledge are they traitors? By the way a traitor is someone who aid a foreign country not pledges to vote a certain way look it up i did. check out this Pledge and who signed it. You see it is not signing a pledge that dems are against it is just the pledges they do not like.
www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/2chambers/post/more-than-three-dozen-members-of-congress-have-signed-onto-no-budget-no-pay-pledge/2011/04/08/AFThPo3C_blog.html
CynicalCitizen, problem is you can invest in education all you want but you cant lead a horse to water...aka Tea Partiers to school. They believe schools and education are the problem hence the attack on teachers and unions. They get their "schoolin" from Beck and Hannity and Limbaugh, they dont think they need to know more than that. With that sort of thinking, education certainly wont be tops on their list of "to-do's".
Next week are very important elections in WI. If the Dems win and the TPer's lose, it will send a loud and clear message to the rest of the country and the timing couldnt be more perfect.
In regard to Boehner allowing the House to go on vaca for 5 weeks. Perhaps the media ought to snap some shots of him out on the golf course and do a side-by-side of FAA employees at the unemployment line. Why these people still get their pay while they are making others suffer is beyond me.
Valerie, Cant Wait is a Tea Partier spewing the same ol garbage and we all know it. Just because someone is polite doesnt make their lies more truthful in fact I say it makes him more of a creep because he knows he's lying. Just because a robber smiles while he picks your wallet, doesnt make him less of a criminal. Cant Wait is a game player.
Or the Oral Roberts University where Michele Bachmann got her law degree from.
That is a joke isn't it? Either way it makes me laugh!
Lets play Whats My Line. Can't wait till 2012. Are you female?
And he goes right to the same old tea bagged GOP selective memory about the Democrats having a majority while leaving out the historic GOP use of the filibuster.
Name all the republican liberals you can and how many times they voted with the democrats. How many of these 'liberal republicans' voted for healthcare reform? Quick now, go to google and find the answer! Selective memory has nothing to do with it. Your just making up your own facts. Damn I get tired of explaining this to you uninformed fixed news viewers. The Dems DID NOT have a filibuster proof majority. While your using google or whatever search engine you want, check out 'blue dog dems' or what I refer to them as 'Closet Republicans'.
First, answer my question. How many 'Liberal' republicans can you name? Tell you what. Take a look at all the blue dog dems and see how they voted, then you'll understand. Where did I say 'Independents' were closet republicans? And which party has the mind set of 'your either with us or against us'. I'll give you a hint....it rimes with pee.
We should make a LAW that presidential campaign only can start ONE YEAR BEFORE THE ELECTION.
OUR NATION NEEDS ALL POLITICIANS INVOLVEMENT IN SOLVING THE PROBLEMS WE ARE IN NOW.
Yeah that is a good idea because it will also limit how fast and how much campaign money they get because a shorter campaign will not require as much fundage.
Yup just like Mike Huckster new (True to Life) slanted history films.....and Sara Palin entering the race.....Don't fall for that LD....They can't stand it because OBAMA, being president he can make all the appearances he wants, and the reps are just crying foul. They don't mind taking funds from anyone who can buy them and their candidates... The congress should have stayed on the job, instead of giving Obama time to start his campaign.....Thank you Lawrence O'Donnal..
Well of course if the President has to abide by those campaign rules then so will others. Bachmann and Romney and Ryan have been campaigning since Obama was elected. They got the jump on Obama. The President as far as I have seen has only done a few campaign oriented tours for with everything that has been going on he has not had time.
Not true he still has to go to the primaries and get them to either back him or not. He can be challenged in the primaries but as a rule it doesn't happen often, but its up to the members of his party to decide.
We don't know that yet, do we? There may be someone lurking out there.
Why President Obama did not invoke the 14 th Amendment ? He could have stopped all these.
Sen that was the GOP trap, with the 5 GOP appointed SCOTUS judges if Obama had used the 14th there would have been impeachment proceedings against Obama for over stepping his powers. It was those same judges that rubber stamped Bush's power grabs.
I agree the campaigning should not be allowed until after January 1st of any year.
I have tremendous respect for the opinions of Fareed Zakaria. Tonight he said that Washington no longer works. Why that made my heart sink, like it was a big surprise, I do not know. I got a sick feeling in my stomach and a horrible feeling
of despair. We need the Grassley's to stand up and speak sanity instead of the
insanity that now prevails in the Republican party. They are not a party anymore
they are a radical right wing sect. Do we have any more Ted Kennedy's to pin our
hopes on. I really want to see some strong Democrats take these people head on
now and in every election at every level. They came in with the bed bugs. My mom
used to say "it isn't a crime to get bed bugs, but it is a crime if you don't do anything about them". I am afraid of the foothold they might have already.
I really think that the GOP is just as tired of all this obstruction as the Dems are and when it comes down to republican against tea party republican in a primary the conservative republican of old will prevail.
Where has LD, gone??? Who is holding him hostage?
No one I am contemplatin...lol....
Cant wait till 2012: I voted for Gore in 2000 and when Bush was announced the winner it really depressed me because somehow I just knew this was going to lead to disaster and oh was I right. I voted for Nader in 2004 and 2008 but lets go back to 1992 when Clinton was running for democratic nomination Jerry Brown challenged the Democratic choice right down on the convention floor and nearly won. That is what needs to be done in 2012 in the Democratic party. The first man I ever voted for was Ronald Reagan.
That is about the dumbest right wing talking point of all times. Obama didn't have the experience but Palin did LMFAO.
What are you contemplatin? You told me If I turned rep, you'd give up?
Yeah, I'll go there. Go ahead, compare them.
Me too, that would be good entertainment.
No your trying to start a flame bait.
A member of the 'Duck, dodge and deny' party.
How many years did winky Palin serve in public office? And that doesn't include the mayor of a small town.
Good evening folks, I'm having a little trouble signing tonight. Hope to join you all shortly.Â
I was having trouble with my computer earlier today, I had to reboot it and I seem to be back in business. Now, I have to address can't wait, you accuse us of name calling and picking on you because you disagree with us. First, you can disagree all you want. You certainly have the right to do that. What you DO NOT have the right to misrepresent who you really are. I have read every one of your comments and there is no question that you are a Republican posing as an Idependent. It's funny, but the comments and the shock at are response to you are using exactly the SAME WORDS that the condesending and rude posters do, but under different names. I'm pretty sure you have posted under a different name. So, don't answer my post by saying, "you are so mean, you are not being fair and not respecting me." That won't work with me and I doubt it will work for the other real Democrats on this site. See you are nothing more than the dishonest "fake" Dems like the ones in WI who forced a runoff between Dems and the fakes challenging the Repubs up for recall. Until you stop being such a phony, you won't get much respect here.
Hmmm, Cant Wait, I thought you didnt "approve" of name-calling. Careful there, you are starting to slip up and show your true colors. Seems to me it aint rolling off your back so well if you have to resort to the "intellectual integrity" line so often used by Tea Partiers.
You were suggesting Valerie didnt have intellectual integrity in a derogatory manner because you dont agree with her. And yes, it seems the TPer's, which you most certainly are one, have this need to remind everyone constantly about how intelligent they are....which actually just shows your insecurity and not intellect. Sounds to me like you are starting to lose your temper, Cant Wait, you are starting to grasp at straws.
Wow, I seem to have hit a nerve can't wait. I did not call you any degrading name. I just stated a fact. As I've said before there are real Republicans on this site who have total different political views from mine, but at least they are who they say they are and I call them my friends. You on the other hand, are either ashamed to admit to being a Tea Party member, or you are trying to pull the wool over our eyes. I, like you, could care less what you think of me, but I am honest when I say that I was an Independent at one time and voted for which ever party made solid points. When the only party that seemed to really have my best interests at heart was the Democrats, I stopped being an Independent and re-registered as a Democrat. I am not ashamed of my change in affiliations, I am proud of them. I don't like people who misrepresent themselves. Every post you sound more bitter, condesending, and arrogant. Just my observation, I know you are offended, but I have as much right as you do to share my observations and opinions. Also, being a retired teacher, Early Childhood Behavioral Specialist and a published children's book author, I have seen and been around many people like you. So, when you say you are an Indpendent, that means you have voted for people in both parties, and I find it very hard to believe you have EVER voted for a Democrat. That makes you a Republican, Tea Party member or Libertarian, but certainly not an Independent.
Was that respectful enough, no name calling just sharing observations and opinions that differ from yours.
can't wait, you already sunk to that level, you questioned Sam's integrity and mine, you called me "wonder woman," and believe me it wasn't meant as a compliment. Here's something we can agree on, I don't like you and you don't like me. Fair enough, you can continue the poor me role, and nobody respects that I don't agree with them so they are mean to me. The problem is that the only other rude person on this site who agrees with you is Sarge. I see you keep slapping each other on the back by voting for each other. Nice, you both act and sound like Tea Party members. You don't have to love or like Obama, but it's obvious that you don't like any Democrat and probably never have, that means you aren't really an Indpendent. Why is it so hard for you to admit that you support the Tea Party and the Republicans? I could respect you more if you just came out of the closet on your political beliefs. In every post you support everything the Republican Party stands for. Notice that I didn't use the slang about the Tea Party. Again, I am making observations and based on your comments I think that they are spot on. I also believe you posted under a different name because you used the same phrases, words and views as someone else we don't hear from anymore. I went back into the archieves and checked and sure enough what you said to me months ago you repeated word for word on this page. So, I don't believe a word you say. Let's leave it at that. You can focus your attention on somebody else, because you prove to me that you are not who you claim to be.
Val
Be careful I kind of liked wonder woman I don't know that was a bad thing to be called. Remember she had the gold lasso of truth. lol
2012 val has a visual problem the italics and lower case bold makes it easier for her to read. i don't agree with much of what she writes but the font stuff is not aimed at you she is using it for convenience.
FAA Shutdown. They have just taken this country to the brink of default, almost destroying this country. Now here is the FAA Shutdown, were over 74,000 people have lost their jobs. It is costing American 30 million dollars a day, and it is all about the T-Republicans trying to destroy the unions. But all I am hearing is the attack on President Obama. The Progressives don't get it, if Obama had a Democratic Congress to work with things would be different. And the Progressives need to understand if people had come out to vote in 2010, no body would be dealing with the Tea-Republicans. So I blame all those who didn't get their butts out to vote in 2010. Hear me Progressives. Now all the Progressives want to do is blame Obama for everything. I ain't buying it. And as a loyal Democrat, I do not support them trying to get someone to run against the President. The enenmy is the Tea-Republican Party. We need to get rid of John Boehner, Eric Canter, and as many Republicans, the Tea- Republicans we can get rid of. We need Nancy Pelosi back as Speaker. We have seen what the T-Republicans stand for, who they stand for. What they are willing to do to get their way. They don't give a dam about the poor and middle class. They haven't done a dam thing to help people fine work, and they won't either, because they feel as long as the economy sucks the people will blame Obama and want to turn to them. I hope and pray people won't fall for it this time.
President Obama commanded they put something out on the FAA situation before they left for vacation. I did not see not one of them from either side stick around.Am I right?
Louis, you are right, they had to hurry out of town because they had to have their chaufers drive them to their home towns. You see, they didn't want to fly because they defunded the FAA, an organization whose job it is to keep our airways safe. Not so safe now, are they.
What they did do was leave 1 senator and 1 congressman in Washington so if Obama and the democrats decide to run an end play and call for an emergency vote on the FAA there would be a republican there to filibuster it.
Whom, we never said that they are great at how to play their game, I'll give them an A+ for knowing how to be the greatest obstructionest we've seen in a very long time.
anna how about replacing Boehner and cantor with jim Jeffries and Ron Paul?
happy 50th birthday president obama
Well guess what guys.............its another tea bagged republican theres no doubt about it. Now troll you do know that Gold-man Sacks donate to both parties right? You do know uncle Dick ran Haliburton until he became Bush's vp and Haliburton got no bid contracts worth billions of tax payers borrowed dollars. So go troll else where you just asked for an open can of.
Cant Wait, you're a real piece of work. Can you tell me what President hasnt campaigned including Bush? Get real. We can list the campagn contributors of all candidates and we know we will find wealthy contributors on both sides, so what. You make it sound like he's the first ever to campaign to make money. Bush went on vaca hundreds of times after 9/11, shouldnt he have stayed home to take care of the economy and the wars he started Give me a break.
Senator McCain grabbed nearly a million of Golmnan-Sachs handouts.
Hey, LD there is a more up to date timely vine you can go to and have a whole new lively discussion with out Lurk.
Yeah Whom, he accuses peope of not having jobs...even though he's been on here all day. Same ol worn out, tired, dusty, dingy Tea Party rhetoric. And he thinks he's a smart guy, saying things he thinks no one here has ever seen before...ho hum...yawn....He's trying to act intelligent but not succeeding. Its safe to say I am NOT wow'd by his "intellectual integrity".
Hmmm, yep you are pretty good at attacking when you realize people arent buying your game. So the Tea Party stands for honesty and integrity, huh? Where have you seen this high moral display of integrity and honesty coz Im afraid Ive missed seeing that. Ive seen Tea Partiers spitting on black Congressman, Ive seen Tea Partiers slinging racial slurs at our President, Ive seen Tea Partiers acting less mature than 3 yr old children, but honesty and integrity? Thats a laugh. ROFL
Can you say mikey
Sorry to burst your bubble but 'intellectual honesty' and 'integrity' do not belong in the same sentence with Teabaggers.
TB was a bad disease when I was growing up, and it still is....going to Texas in the morning, need to rise early.....Keep up the fight with that t-bugger. Only 11:00 in NM.
The real change in 2012 will be the teabaggers changing their underwear after they see the election results.
Friends, notice a pattern here. can't wait sounds exactly like politicalwatcher. He used the exact same words on me back in May of this year. Identical, imagine that. Now, he is doing what he did before playing the offended victim and pushing everyone's buttons. MY, My, could it really be pw back to haunt us?
Yeah thats the other one I just couldn't remember his nic. I know he isn't a newb as he claimed because he knew he could recommend his own posts, something I discovered right after I flagged one of my posts as inflammatory, don't ask my eyes aint as good as they were 30 years ago, and they weren't that good then.
Can't Wait......you're fighting an uphill battle against these people. Sam is a socialist, whomitmay posts the most ridiculous tripe imaginable and Valerie refuses to do anything but attack anyone who disagrees with her Marxist comments.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love this blog! "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."
No, we are not kidding you! I'm done playing your stupid game, so I'm going to do to you what I've done with Sarge, I'm hitting my little! point and blocking your same stupid words from appearing on my screen.
smiling.
cry if you want to.
It's his potty and he'll cry if he wants.
Val, if you ignore their posts, you miss out on some funny stuff. These gus are hilarious, keep them coming Sarege, Can't Wait.
Re post 17-3
"
Obama is pals with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, the founders of the 1960s Weatherman aka the "Weather Underground", which is recognized as a domestic terror group by the FBI that bombed the Pentagon, etc. Can anyone dispute that fact?"
Can you provide proof of these friendships. Perhaps pictures of them golfing together, or maybe having a few beers while they plot the overthrow of the American Government?
This whole thing was republican desparation, as they realized they were about to loose the election to a black man. It was fanned by a hillbilly from Alaska that won the vice presidential candidate lottery.
Yup, fired up the nitwit Palin got infront of the cameras again today and made the same stupid and ignorant statement. We sure dodged a bullet when McCain picked her as his running mate. I hope she does get into the race and wins the nomination for the Republican party. It would assure Obama a win in 2012. Maybe we should all go out and campaign for her to win the Republican nomination.
LOL this is great use bible quotes, we heres one.........don't be like the hypocrite who proudly stands on the street loudly proclaiming his faith like an ass braying.
LOL
