I mean no disrespect to Ed (whom I adore). I just want to say Rev. Al Sharpton has been awesome!!!
Rev. Al is the reason I've been staying on past Maddow, he's fantastic
This network has a racist, Jew hater, riot inciting, liar, as a host? These are all validated facts.
What's next, Rev Wright.
The fact that so many Faux News Trolls are showing up here to spew their, ignorant, racist hate speech ( which at least on MSNBC the are free to do ) is proof that some really good work is being done here by Ed, Rachel, Lawrence, Chenk, Chris, and many more.
They would not be here if there wasn't a real impact being made on society . . .
So let them spew . . . not only are their rants hilarious . . .
It helps the rest of make our points about their love of America but hatred for Americans.
When are they going to report on "Fast and Furious"?
Not really a fan of the Rev., but I think most people can speak unless they have been arrested for treason. I have heard many a voice on all the cable and tv channels, and I know who I agree with and who I don't. We are smart enough to think for ourselves and I think we prefer it that way, don't you? Heaven only knows how many people speak that I agree with all the time. I might listen or read what one has to say, but it is up to me to make up my own mind. I come to this vine and MSMBC, because I agree with them most of the time. I realize that this is an Active Democratic out let and for some reason we have some who come here to voice their decent. It dosen't mean I have to consider what they say.
There are many, many more that could be added to this list but the point is . . . people who don't know what they are talking about need to do their research.

I sort of quit reading at #10. I admit to getting quite a chuckle out of these "accomplishments"
1. Signing a bill on cutting waste as a major accomplishment- maybe an example of Billions saved would help us envision the greatness of this act.
2. Restoring pay protections- I'm sure someone will pop up here with a response, but in my everyday walk of life, I haven't had one female or minority mention to me that they got a raise because of this great act.
3. In order to start a new war
4. In order to escalate the Afgan war.
5. & 6. Both seem like they would be good laws to sign. A little weak to hinge re-election hopes on though...
7. The great give away- too bad it didn't work
8. Yeah- he challenged everyone to follow on it. I wonder how many have. I quit following that website months ago because it was downright silly. Every pothole filling crew had a listing.
9. Wasn't Governmental policy seeking to encourage home ownership one of the driving forces that caused the need for #7 in the first place? So with Home pricing dropping nationwide, continuing to this day- is that because of this bill you credit Obama with?
10. $15B is pretty much a drop in the bucket. Maybe if he had done more of this and less the giveaways in the ARRA (above) recovery could have happened. Or spent less time carping about business. Funny, you crediting this, as I would assume it was meant to be a jobs creator. I've read much on these MSNBC blogs lately about the consumer being the job creators, and not companies. Wish you folks would settle on one story- giving me whiplash- lol

Where was Halperin?
It was a crude remark. I suspect, though, what got him into trouble was the White House calling to complain. His remarks were spot on, albeit off-color
Say, President Obama has never limited anyone's freedom of speech. Now let's see, bush/cheney put a halt to the Dixie Chicks, and how about Bill Maher off the network? And then there was Whoopee Goldberg's 1/2 hour sitcom that was really funnee until she showed Bush as he was - an idiot - and how about the father of the first service person killed in Iraq? He was silenced - one interview where he said he was against the invasion and boing, gone. You repubs/tpartiers have no idea what bush/cheney were doing and what cheney continues to do. I can't believe there are person so ignorant but the U.S. always falls for an emoter, giddyup cowboy no brains macho type.
Earth- you may want to google "White House Complains about Halperin" before making claims about Obama accepting of free speech.

A Wall Street Journal/ Nbc news poll conducted June 9-13 found that just 18% of respondents approved of the performance of Congress compared to 22 percent last month, and close to where it stood (at 20 percent) in April. Forty-two percent said they had very little or no confidence in Congress compared to 48 percent who expressed “some” confidence, and 10 percent who said they had a great deal or quite a bit of confidence in lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
The Journal/NBC News survey said that 60 percent did not believe the new Republican leadership had brough about much change, either for better or worse, while 23 percent said it had brought about the wrong kind of change. Thirteen percent believed Republicans had brought the right kind of change. When the Democrats were in control in 2007 after winning back the House, 60 percent also said of them that they had not brought about much change, but a lesser 15 percent said they had brought about the wrong kind.
The poll found voters split at 44 percent each, with 12 percent not sure, on which party they preferred to control Congress after next year’s election.
Funny MsT- Is it really your opinion that a person is free to " spew their, ignorant, racist hate speech" on MSNBC. You may want to ask Ed, Olberman and Halperin about that statement of yours. And- it just so happens that the most informed people are those that get views from a variety of different sources. I guess I'm sorry that you seem to limit yourself to MSNBC and like minded entities.
A closed mind doesn't have to stay that way. I would invite you to watch Fox, CNN, Bloombergs, etc for at least 1 month. You might be surprised how your view on the world can grow. Or- you can stay tuned to this network and learn nothing that they don't stage for you.
Dont bother asking for a debate. One that is based in logic and fact and not emotion and someone's version of "fair".
The ability that many lack is one that realizes the shortcomings of BOTH parties and the politicians that represent them. However, there is one party that has a stated goal of fundamentally transforming America. WE are not Europe, we left for a reason and they are now finding the fault in the logic of a European Union. If that is their goal, then it is one that I dont choose to follow. America is a sovereign nation, as it should be always.
But like I said, dont wait for a logical debate here, you will only get insults or copy&paste comments. I enjoy hearing other ideas or engaging in debate but most I meet here are only interested in self pleasue through group hugs & people confirmimg their opinion.
P.S. Always funny when people complain or tell you to go post somewhere else. Thought this was a public forum.(Only if you agree tho)
Once again we see how clearly that the GOP enablers do not understand the Constitution, bill of rights or freedom of speech. Government may not limit the peoples freedom of speech. That does not mean private businesses or citizens have to allow any speech they deem inappropriate speech. Just because this is a public forum doesn't mean you have a right to say anything you like, if that were the case then there would be nothing about what speech is acceptable or not in the forums rules. As this is a CNBC forum and not a part of government speech can and is regulated.
That is what gets you GOP enablers into trouble, you think you can say whatever you like because it is a public forum. This also includes employees of NBC, as well as public airwaves being regulated by the FCC which decide what speech and images are allowed on public airwaves. News programs that violate FCC rules are fined. Now that doesn't mean you can't lie like the poster above is, this making the US into a European model is nonsense when you research where Europeans got their ideals from, they used the US model of social safety nets for European safety nets to protect their citizens.
Now here is what the GOP enablers can't grasp, their ideal of limited government comes from the old USSR and Red Chinese communist governments that did nothing for the workers while all money and power were reserved for those at the top, who enjoyed all the things the workers weren't able to get. The only differences between the US and the communists is the US lets private corporations take all the money and power, while communism gives control of corporations to the government with the same goal as US corporations, control over the masses.

I wonder if MsT actually knows that the word "faux" is pronounce fo, rhyming with ho, as in Santa's ho ho ho?
@whomitmay...I made no mention of censorship or not being allowed to participate in a discussion. So slow down, take a breath and comprehend the statement I made in my previous comment. I spoke of people who complained of opposing views being posted and saying go somewhere else. And it is a regulated site and I am aware that the company/people could very well decide to ban anyone they deem unfit to appear on their site. So take it easy and worry about yourself and any wrong statements you make.
As for your comment about USSR and China, the difference between the United States and these forms of government is that those governments decided what you were and what you received. Do you know of the bread lines or permits to have a child? Midnight raids and secret police? Child labor or reeducation camps for undesirables( such as handicapped people or gays) You can speak of corporations all you like(Because I do believe there is entirely to much cooperation between our government and the corporations) but the simple fact is that our country and its citizens have enjoyed more freedom and prosperity than any you mentioned.
And the next time you do your "research", take the time to check out how the governments and citizens of the European Union are getting along. A country as great as America should have safety nets for its people( to use to recover but not to live off of) but Europe turned theirs into a cradle to grave nanny mentality.
My grasp of government comes reading and studying the Constittution and the reasons it was written. Yours seems to come from skewed point of view. One that thinks there is a difference between the R and D. For too long those in power have counted on blind following of party. And "Party" is exactly what those two governments you mentioned think you should serve. Keep on going Sheeple. Someone else's rights today and yours tomorrow.
Excuse me? Why is it conservatives always play the victim card? The reason people are telling right wing posters to go else where has nothing to do with censorship, remember it has been conservatives that has claimed their free speech was being denied, no when right wing posters spew the same debunked nonsense over and over, people get tired of hearing it.
Nanny state? Funny how you think that people through no fault of their own are forced to try to live off less then what they could earn at a min wage job except the way min wage jobs are now you have to work at 3 min wage jobs to earn what 1 min wage job paid in the 70's, thats a nanny state? Excuse me but once again you over look the facts.
You over look what the GOP are doing, they want to regulate peoples sex lives, prevent medical procedures for women, limit free speech and make the US into a police state that watches every citizen, they even went so far as to ask citizens to watch their neighbors, then report any wrong doing to the local police. Some states tried that under GOP control and were shut down by the SCOTUS because it violated peoples privacy rights.
As far as you reading the constitution and studying it is rather useless because like any other written document it can be interpreted to mean anything by the person reading it. So what you think it says means nothing because it is the SCOTUS who decide how the constitution is interpreted and how law is enacted.
There is a big difference between the R brand and the D brand. The R brand wants big government to regulate the people while letting corporations do as they please with no limitations. The D brand wants to regulate corporations while letting the people enjoy the freedom to decide for themselves how to live.
Comprehension seems to be a problem with you. "Victim card"? Where do you see me playing a victim? I spoke, you retorted aand I answered. Simple as that. Read my statement again slowly and calmly and think it through before typing.
"No fault of their own"?...."Forced to work"?...Where do you get your facts concerning how many jobs someone has to work as in 3 compared to one? In what way is that the government's job? Because its not fair? Sorry...if you have enough energy and ability to work 3 minimum wage jobs, you also have the abilty & energy to get one job that isnt a minimum wage. Personal responsibility and drive is what seperates most from a minimum wage job. Spare us all the..."It aint fair' argument.
As for the GOP and your Democrats, they both look to control and manipulate the masses thru fear and telling you who is to blame for it. Gays? Cant let them marry!!( Especially when the hetros have done such a fanatastic job of upholding the standard.) War? Bush was evil!!(Even tho the Obama admin. has sent in more troops, more drones, extended the Patriot Act and got the US involved in a 3rd conflict.) TARP? Bush started it. Obama bumped it again. The defecit under Bush got bigger and under Obama it tripled. Pay attention and take off your blinders. Because as the saying goes..there's a sucker born every minute.
And my reading of the Constitution is important. Knowing your history lets you know how far you have come and even maybe how badly you have screwed it up.
Yeah I can see how well you studied history just by your comments. Full of right wing nonsense like Obama tripled the deficit, a debunked right wing lie that fact check called pants on fire lie. That is all I need to know, welcome to ignore land where you can mentally masturbate with the other right wing trolls.
Ignorance and apathy are what caused all of these things. Continue on being led. Continue only saying and doing what they want you to. Being spoon fed and regurgitating only want you want to believe.
Would ask you to check with CBO figures. Would ask you to check the Stanford studies. However I see it is a waste of time.
By the way, your insults and inability to comprehend only demonstrates for me your limited thought process. And Im as about right wing as you. Speaks to me as insecurity looking for affirmation. So just stay where you are and someone will be along to make you feel better soon.
Why can't more big fat rich corporations follow your company's lead Ed? GE, your parent company earned over $10 billion last year and paid their fair share ... oops, they didn't pay any federal income taxes. Geesh, I guess it pays to be friends with Obama ... like the GE CEO ... but at least Ed you're not a hypocrite for taking a paycheck from these big fat corp types ... right?

Why Did Republicans Block A Bill That Would Help Prevent Outsourcing Of Jobs Overseas?
Senate Republicans successfully blocked a bill from coming to the Senate floor Tuesday that Democrats claim would help keep American jobs from going overseas.
Republicans call it nothing more than a pre-election political ploy.
The Democratic bill would have ended certain tax breaks for companies expanding overseas while giving new tax incentives to businesses bringing jobs home
Because the Republicans just want the free "socialist" handouts to corporations to continue unabated. No strings attached. Just trust them to honor their word that these handouts will make American jobs a reality.
Call them on it by wanting proof of what they say as truth and see them flinch. Try to set up a business arrangement between the working class and big business that includes accountability, in the form of jobs, for the proposed "socialist" hand outs and what do you get? ....
It isn't enough that they've dumped their crap products on this country over the years .. stealing the populations hard earned cash. Now they want what the population has saved and contributed on their own behalf, too. There's more than one way to destroy a country ... your enemy can bomb the hell out of it or steal it blind. Both end up ruined.
When will MSNBC report on "Fast and Furious"?
My comment is where are the jobs Mr. Behner you and Eric Cantor were going to put everyone back to work. Your job right now seems to whinne and cut programs for the elderly and the poor, can you look a child in the face and say sorry we had to take away your food. Just like the elderly. Start acting like adults, get something done. Why don't cut your salary and put it towards the debt. Take away all the perks that the taxpayers give you see how you would survive. Miss ya Ed. I think President Obama is trying to do the right thing getting this country back on track. I just heard the congress is trying to outsource more jobs. Ed look into it. Thanks
The Republicans won control of the House in January after promising to create jobs.
Where are the damn jobs bills?
They have already had 7 weeks of vacation, and NO JOBS BILLS.
The deadline for rasing the debt ceiling or defaulting on our debt is looming AND THEY ARE ON VACATION!!!!! (after walking out on negotiations when they didn't get their way)
VOTE DEMOCRAT IN 2012
Fired- at this time, they pretty much have their hands full trying to keep anti-jobs bills from passing. Should they be like Obama and put out claims that they "saved" 2 million jobs by preventing the Dems anti jobs bills from taking place?
While The House Takes Vacation:
Economists urge Congress to raise debt limit
June 29, 2011
In this letter, 235 world-renowned economists called on federal policymakers to immediately raise the federal debt ceiling without making drastic cuts to federal spending. The economists are signatories to an open letter to Congress organized by the Economic Policy Institute and the Center for American Progress.
Read Full Letter
View Press Release
Dear Speaker Boehner, Minority Leader Pelosi, Majority Leader Reid, and Minority Leader McConnell,
We, the undersigned economists, urge Congress to raise the federal debt limit immediately and without attaching drastic and potentially dangerous reductions in federal spending. Not doing so promptly could have a substantial negative impact on economic growth at a time when the economy looks a bit shaky. In a worst case, it could push the United States back into recession.
The U.S. economy looks fragile at present. Economic growth has been too weak to generate sufficient new job creation. Reaching the limit on total outstanding debt could force a dramatic and sudden cut in federal spending that would destroy jobs and threaten the recovery. To remove spending from the economy at such a pivotal moment would be irresponsible.
Failure to increase the debt limit sufficiently to accommodate existing U.S. laws and obligations also could undermine trust in the full faith and credit of the United States government, with potentially grave long-term consequences. This loss of trust could translate into higher interest rates not only for the federal government, but also for U.S. businesses and consumers, causing all to pay higher prices for credit. Economic growth and jobs would suffer as a result.

More projection by the party of failed policies. GOP policies created the current mess of the economy and whats their great plan to fix the problem, you got it more of the same failed policies. Leave it to the party of personal responsibility to set aside their responsibility for their failed policies to try to blame the other guys.
Leave it to the GOP to give the US a brain dead 3rd rate movie actor whos biggest claim to fame was being a chimps co star, who at the time was suffering from bouts of dementia followed by a dim wit C- Student that got out of military service by daddy pulling strings to get him in the NG. Who then went on to bankrupt 3 oil companies before trying his hand at government then did his best to out do Reagan on spending, while bunkrupting the economy of jobs.
But hey GOP, don't worry I'm sure any day now the Koch brothers will be sending you a golden stream, just make sure you look up with mouth wide open, remember to take your foot out of your mouth, you'll want to be able to collect as much of the golden stream as possible.
Save- have you ever wondered why Obama and the Dems haven't gone after speculators, even though they rail against them? Possibly, it is because the greatest speculator of all time, George Soros, is pulling the puppet strings attached to Obama's back.

Why don't you post something refreshingly new, instead of the same old boring crap.
Some of George W Bush' "Accomplishments" as President:
"My presidency is the most secretive and unaccountable"- Really interesting as a supposed quote from GWB. Glad Democrats are still running against him. Like prepping for a team in the Super Bowl that isn't playing. Only an idiot coach would do that. Oh, I understand.
That said- one of the most admired (from my aspect, anyway) Presidents in my lifetime was JFK. Yes- the Bay of Pigs was botched, he got us deeper into Viet Nam- but, his process for handling the Cuban Missile Crisis was superb. I've had the pleasure of hearing about it first hand from a White House Fellow who had a front row seat to it all (Dr Stoessinger). The way he surrounded himself with people of all different thought processes, etc- was a model to be followed. GWB failed miserably at that when the need was greatest. He surrounded himself with people who thought like him, who were convinced of the same things he was convinced of, etc.
Hate to tell you this, Dems, but your guy, Barack, fails just as miserably.
Going into Lybia, Obama limited his counsel to those who agree with his position on the War Powers Act. On the economy, he has surrounded himself with Acadamia types that have never hired anyone other than an organizationally funded staffer. People that have never manufactured as much as a clothespin. Maybe that is why he is preventing a factory from opening in South Carolina. Boeing has the ability to open that plant in Mexico, etc. How would that be spun by Obama? His like-thinking insiders would surely come up with some slick packaging.
While it has been fun crapping in ilp's oatmeal, it is time to retire for the day. Good bye for now my right wing friend.
That is an interesting way of spinning the numbers.
It totally covers up that bushboy inherited a 4.2% unemployment rate and left President Barrack Obama a 7.6% unemployment rate, losing 665,000 jobs in the last month of his reign of terror. That was after losing 3.6 million jobs in 2008

Study: Conservatives have larger ‘fear center’ in brain

Political opinions are considered choices, and in Western democracies the right to choose one's opinions -- freedom of conscience -- is considered sacrosanct.
But recent studies suggest that our brains and genes may be a major determining factor in the views we hold.
A study at University College London in the UK has found that conservatives' brains have larger amygdalas than the brains of liberals. Amygdalas are responsible for fear and other "primitive" emotions. At the same time, conservatives' brains were also found to have a smaller anterior cingulate -- the part of the brain responsible
He's just a scared little boy. He is afraid of that mean black man in the white house. It is just something new to him and his poor under developed brain doesn't understand, and therefore he is afraid.
Can you direct me to the website where you found that information?
Ah, no he can't fired up. But, you knew that already. But, here's a link for our old pal mikey22030/save. It explains him.

Good read Curt, Save loves to rearrange facts to fit his purpose.
OBAMA 2012!!
I love, If MSNBC is as bad as you say it is, why do you spend so much time over here? Isn't Fox where you should be? Obama knows we support him....he gives O'Really time, because he possibly could reach out to some of the Reps...They might find what he says worth listening to. If he came to MSNBC, and he knows he doesn't need to, you would accuse him of pandering. Can you find something else to nit-pick?
I watch MSNBC because there is no gain in only listening to what you already believe. My mind is changeable if I hear a good clear argument. How about you guys.?
someone does not want me to respond to net gal I was making too much sense and was censored. Oh well thanks big brother you made my point I was deleted mid stream Maybe this one will slip by.
