These are the stories the staff of The Ed Show are keeping an eye on ...
- Union members rallied in Trenton, NJ, today in anticipation of a vote in the Statehouse that would spike rates on pensions and health benefits for public workers in the state.
- The spending cuts Republicans are pushing for would hurt the economy and stifle job creation.
- 57% of Americans say they’d be worse off with Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan.
- Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) and Barney Frank (D-MA) introduce a bill to legalize marijuana.

Are you watching SB5 recall numbers in Ohio?
I'm confused. Didn't the NJ population vote these Republicans in for these leadership? If this is how they want their state employees to be able to bargain, why the outcry?
I agree with you on this. America you wanted them (Republicans), now you got them!!
Ed's
conversation is dangerous passion is great but if the delivery sucks then the
message get confused and watered down. I wonder how many of these Governors and
republicans majorities does Ed personally take credit for putting in place? I remember
threats of maybe voters should take it out on the Dems at the voting booths
well many stayed home and many listen to the media talking heads.
Now
people are suffering because of their own votes!! They asked for it now they've
got it. And media personalities have
their stories and large salaries!!! President Obama cannot be the only person
carrying the message we need to stop allowing Congressmen and Senators from
defaulting to the president. The Dems cannot maintain a consistent message and
progressives with their all or nothing mentality will put a republican in the Whitehouse.
If you think these governors are out of control "You ain’t seen nothing
yet"
Well said. Democrats were to lazy or did not want to come out and vote and well the republicans won the house and almost the senate. Well they voted these people in (middle class) and you're right they got just what they asked for. Truth be told they ain't seen nothin yet. Furthermore, republicans hate Obama so much that they are willing to hold the country hostage and to ensure nothing this president does come to any fruition. As they put it they are determined that this will be a one term president and not only that but not another minority will benefit thru affirmative action to attend another ivy league school. Now they are doing anything to stay in power. Sad part is middle class republicans voted these folks in mainly they thought they were untouchable and that this would ride on the backs of the poor. Well now that its at there door they are yelling and screaming loud. Funny thing is the door is being shut. (May not be able to reverse it) Now you have three classes of people the poor, the poorer, and the poorest. Oh, the wealthy is in a class all their own. Amazing isn't it but God does not like ugly. A lot more I could say but I will leave it there
Well said.
I don't care for UNIONS due to one incident that happened to me back in 1983.I tried to get a job with BURLINGTON NORTHERN R.R. working on a railroad gang laying down track,The only problem was that I had to be on a UNION.So I went down to the local UNION hall to join and they told me that I had to have a job to join the UNION.I told them that I had a job lined up,just that I had to be on a UNION.THE UNION wouldn't let me join because I was UNEMPLOYED,and BURLINGTON NORTHERN wouldn't hire me because I wasn't on a UNION.The way I look at it(even to this day),if that's the way UNIONS operate, then I refuse to join one.I would rather stay UNEMPLOYED than to join a UNION plain and simple.I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Dems, The president knows that he has you all wrapped around his finger. No matter what he does you will still vote for him. Sad situation it's either Obama or a Republican! You Dems have no voice!
