Who cares?
right, I am not voting Repub. ever again. They are too much against people and for profit. I will have that in front of me all the time. Because of Bush creating jobs abroad just to make a profit without thinking of us. Because, they and because Republican governors are little by little taking our rights away. Our elected official have not power in some of the cities. I will not vote repub. Look what happen to our freedom of expression that prompted the removal of a mural because the business community was not happy with it because it depicted the evolution of labor in the US. Child labor being scorned.
I will not vote repub. ever also because of the president I voted for the first term (little Bush) laughed at not finding WOMDs while our young men and women died in Iraq. First, he lied to the congress and then he laughed about it. I will never forget. 9/11 happened and I will never forget but he knew about it. Check the You Tube video that show it. It is a Canadian news channel. I will never forget that. Republicans burnt Care in the Burning of Care ritual at the Bohemian Grove Club. When they graduate from the Skull and Bones they enter the BGC and that is where they learn not to care any more. There are like in a trance. They do not even listen to questions from the people.
Great start to the week politicalwatcher, couldn't hit the topic if you were nailed to it.
There was a debate tonight?
Hmm...... I get the feeling that I didn't miss much while watching American Chopper :)
Finally, the truth comes out about ED Show viewers, LOL!! They don't know what's going on in the nation unless they're told by the far left 'talking heads'. Alan, thanks for being intellectually honest about your ignorance.
All no Good! Get new candidates. Thanks, Nancie and Mary
talking heads like..FOX NEWS?
No, see we have the news...and the conservatives have Rush. You got fair and balanced bull... We got people like Ed who are fed up with all of the bull...Does that clear it up?
All I read was ED was full of bullsh!t.... got it. Thanks!
Mitt Romney won and that crazy bachmann was last.
not even close
Ron Paul hands down.
"Who Cares?"
How anyone could not care is strange to me. I think the "Who cares" are the biggest problem in this country and why we are in such a mess. If those "Who Cares" were not so selfish then maybe things could eventually get better for all of us. But the "Who Cares" type of people are screwing it up for all of the people that actually care about the future.
If you actually have a brain, it is quite clear that there are no really good candidates in the GOP. They all have problems answering questions because the really do not know what to do. Ron Paul had the clearest answers. The others were as vague as their IQ's.
Unless we start manufacturing more, we are doomed to a slow painful economic collapse and continued inflation. I can feel it in my pocketbook, can you?
I mean really, how could anyone have actually believed that property values can continue to increase forever (maybe republicans). There has to be a correction.
There was not a "none of the above" option! :(
If you think ANY of the main stream media is fair and balanced and has no pre determined agenda, you are pathetically naive....
Sarah Palin!! oops..the dumbo is not there!
And it was her best performance to date!
Bachmann!! oops..the dumbo was there! and l think she lost.
LOL someone saids something right! No one is a good candidate for President Obama, only big corp handover.
Oh goody, the racist is back...
Did anyone notice Romney's flub......? He must be taking lessons from Palin and Bachmann when he said.....
Hand the country, (Afghanistan), over to the Taliban military? Did you notice the reaction.... The look on the face of the soldier in the Audience? ...... Romney had to make a quick correction. He's no better then Palin or Bachmann. Scary choices!
ROMNEY said: It's time for us to bring our troops home as soon as we possibly can, consistent with the word that comes to our generals that we can hand the country over to the Taliban military in a way that they're able to defend themselves. Excuse me, the Afghan military to defend themselves from the Taliban. That's an important distinction.
Is this all that the Republican's have to offer? Are they trying to throw the election?
LOL . . . who cares is right . . .
There isn't a person among them that is Presidential . . .
maybe the Green Lantern will come to their rescue . . .
oops . . . nope . . . he has green in his name . . .
they hate that word.
My hope is they get in a big fight and insult each other, but I guess that will come later in the campaign as the primary get closer. They surely will behave themselves tonight. Ms T, I agree with your first comment......they are a pile of rocks...all seem to say the same thing......right out of their play book.
LOL Thankfulmom . . . I don't know how old you are but I am almost 60 years old and I have seen many a presidential election from beginning to end in my years of life.
It is soooooooo sad AND scary to see the people who would be President of America . . .
half of them don't know our country's real history, geography or constitution . . .
and half of them would use the American Flag and Constitution to lie about being for freedom while every move they make is about taking ALL our freedoms away . . .
and half of them use Jesus as their mascot while in everyday life they do every vile, low, scummy thing that Jesus was here to teach people NOT to do . . .
Really, really scary . . . and sort of funny too.
Ms. T. I would never take freedom or Jesus for Granted....I can not myself believe that telling lies, and misleading people for what you may be able to acquire for yourself is a good thing. I try to vote for what I think is right. As I told Val, when we were talking about Mr W last week, You have to give Respect to get respect. I also think that the Reps, blow stuff out of proportion and try to scare people. I may have a few year on you but I'm not old.
Ms T, you're right on.
Thankful Mom . . . I was raised in the Menonite Church of the Brethren and we NEVER used Jesus as a weapon against others OR as a mascot to prove we were holy . . . and Jay . . . I wish I wasn't right in this instance . . . it is a sad day for America that this is what the Republicon party has come to and that this " pile of rocks " is all they have to choose from. I was raised a Democrat around lots of Republicans who were fine people. It makes me sick to see what they have deteriorated into.
Ms T, I'm a 58 year old former Libertarian and you are so right on all counts. Yes, both parties suck but that's like saying stale bread and putrid meat are both bad food. I know I can at least survive eating stale bread but putrid meat may kill me. The same thing is true of the Democratic and Republican'T Parties. One of them is getting kinda tired but the other one has gone toxic. You can always toast a stale bagel but burn the heck out of that meat it will still ruin you! I have noticed over the last 35 years that one party is always trying to protect the rights of Americans and the other has restricting rights as their #1 agenda.
Bobajabob . . . I voted Libertarian for part of my life too . . . but then I woke up one day and realized they are just Republican Lite . . . they have a few great ideas but too many really crazy ones to make their philosophy work for me.
The Democratic Party, while comprised of real people who are not perfect, just rings the most true for me.
Politics in general though is a very slippery business . . . too many good women and men fall down on the slippery ground of money and power . . . when their original intentions were to stand up and do good.
Bachmann was hiding in the debate ?
Mrs T and Thankful Mom, I agree with both of you. I will be 61 this month and this is the sorriest bunch of candidates I've seen in all my voting years. Tim Pawlenty and Michelle Bachman are from my state, I'm ashamed to admit. Today all the newspapers did a poll and BOTH of them lost to President Obama by double didget points. Kind of sad when you can't carry your own state. I'm sure by tomorrow their ratings will be even lower. As we in Minnesota know that Pawlenty stood up there and lied his a$$ off. When his term as govenor was over, he left the state of Minnesota with the biggest deficit in our history. Now he wants to handle the budget of the nation, you've got to be kidding. As for Michelle Bachman, most Minnesotans know she is in the pocket of big business, the wealthy and the oil barons. Those are the people who fund her campaign. I think she's almost as dumb as Sarah Palin. Michelle doesn't know her American History either. She also voted to let BP off the hook for cleaning up the oil spill. She thinks the tax payers should be responsible. So there you have it, 2 people totally unqualified to be president.
Don't worry about it Val. I take full responsibility for my actions. I just tired of being bullied by them.
As I read a number of these posts and this thought is upper most in my mine. I just don't recognize this version of the Republican Party. It in no way resembles the Republican Party that I once knew. I am an Independent but there is absolutley no way I could vote for the agenda and those promoting it of this Republican party. I keep referring to them as faux Republicans. And you know what I still cannot begin to comprehend is how they can so boldly continue to advocate for policies that will absolutely destroy the Middle Class and crush the working poor in this country while, seemingly without conscious, continue to push for even more massive tax cuts for those who in no way are financilally vulnerable and just don't need it. I have to say that I feel their agenda, Paul Ryan's "Pathway to Prosperpity" is actually a "Tortured road to Tragedy" for the majority of Americans and this country.
I should add, for any that might wonder, I have been following Mr. Ryan closely and I have read his Pathway to Prosperity Plan and that is why I am so concerned for this country. The fact that all the republican candidates are endorsing this plan is very very concerning.
As long as the republican and independent VOTERS don't endorse the Ryan plan, we should be fine. We just have to keep speaking out with the facts to shine a light on their 'talking points'. (talking points is code in republican-speek for LIES)
I love the name you gave it, "the Tortured Road to Tragedy". Perfect.
Should be interesting - after all, they resemble the PARTY of:
1. No Ideas - other than to take away the Rights of the American People..
2. It is well documented that they only for the RICH and, the corrupt elements in our System.... Look at the FACTS Folks.... Then Look at the Losers who are running for the Office....
Well, my business has taken off, and health care reform will also help. Why you mad bra'?
What has the Republican done for the American Middle Class in the past 100 years? Take your time, I'll wait for your answer.
Don't hold your breath waiting for that answer because it'll never come. Not a good answer anyway.
Thanks for the rundown of what O'Bama was saddled with "I love politics." The cronies took 8 years to put us in this situation - you did a great job of presenting all their failures.
Don't try to confuse us with numbers, my friend. Instead lets ask a few what ifs. What if the president didn't pass the bailout bill for the auto industry. Like companies going through restructured bankruptcies don't usually have to lay off a large percentage of their work force, and with GM being the nations largest employer even. I wonder what unemployment would have been if the repubs had got their way on that one. And your gonna put the 14 trillion deficit all on Obama when Bush left office with more than 11 million in deficits. While we're at it point out to me somewhere in history where slashing stimulus spending, federal spending has ever contributed to the recovery from an economic downturn. And show me one republican in congress talking about jobs creation. They do not have time between trying to pass tax cuts for the rich, and speaking out against abortion. While we're at it, don't talk to us about illegal wars, because if you voted to Bush that really makes you a hypocrite. At least our president is keeping them small, and regardless of what you say is drawing down in Iraq and Afghanistan. You know what? When we feel it becomes necessary we will protest against Obama about any action he takes that we don't agree with. What if Bush had never passed a tax cut for the rich when we had just achieved a surplus. Would social security and medicare be more financially solvent today? And if a surplus is the time to cut taxes, and a depression is a time to cut taxes, when is it ever time to raise them? I could keep answering your questions with more of my own, but at some point is becomes pointless. Here's the reason the economy is starting to tank again and unemployment is going back up. Americans got spooked before Obama's policies started to show returns, and now with the repubs blocking him at every turn we are sinking back into the bog that Bush and the repubs put us into in the first place. Maybe you can't spend your way out of a recession, but you can keep yourself afloat, and you darn well can't tread water when your busy slashing all the floatation devices. Im liking Obama and the donkeys just fine thank you. Its these other braying jackasses I don't know about.
Obama won tonight hands down.
@ liberallyfree: I think you're my new hero! :)
Bachman:" I'm Pro life.....( you do not have the right to make decission that will affect your life)......my husband and I have taken 23 foster children (humm I wonder why they became foster children0.....The law for gays in the millitary should be changed"....they do not have the right to serve their country?
I do not have the right to make decissions that will affect my life? I think I am living in America, and that America is "the land of the free and the home of the brave." I was in the Navy during the Vietnam, era and I joined the Navy because I believe in freedom and that means making decissions in MY LIFE!!!!
Theresa.......I was quoting Bachmann in quotations with my feelings in brackets...Did you misunderstand?
Thankful mom . . . I totally get what you were saying there . . . those are Bachman's CRAZY talk words . . . wow . . . wave the flag of freedom while you stomp on everyone's freedom's . . . cheech . . . Hypocrits R Us Bachman.
Bachmann was a joke !!!!!!
1. Should be interesting: They are the Party of NO! ( It is sooo well documented...)They Represent Only the Rich and, the Corrupt Elements of the Country and the System.....
Bachmann is always scheming plot's to put Obama down, also she said that she is not a teanut-lie. Bachmann is a total phoney.
They are not only the party of NO, they are also known as the YOYO party. (your on your own)
They are trying. What a joke! I can't stop laughing. Help!
What a circus ! ! !
The question was... Do you watch the polls and do you think they are important to you?Cain gave them a fair answer and Mitten chimed in and started bashing Obama.....No surprise.
Nobody won... and any poll like this that includes Ron Paul is going to be inaccurate because his supporters always spam the vote.
that is so true, ron paul is crazy in that he want as little government as possible and we all know what that will entitle.
Don't blame his supporters, I picked him, with reservations, because he is at least predictably true to his beliefs. I'm quite a way from ever voting for him though if Obama keeps caving to Wall Street I might. At least Ron would end the wars and stop the Fed and the Banksters from ruing us.
I voted 1 time. 1 person, 1 vote. What's the problem?
Answer me this, did anyone actually answer a single question beside the fluff this or that questions? Because, what I saw and heard was a whole bunch of nothing. They spent all their time leading up to answering... and then not answering. The only one that actually had anything of real value to say, was Ron Paul. Newt said a couple things, but pretty much hands down, Paul was the one that actually had a beginning, middle and end to his statements.
He gave us the problem, the reasons and began giving some answers.
How can you deny this? While the rest of them stood there sweating with stupid half grins on their faces, he dared to ACTUALLY ANSWER THE QUESTIONS POSED TO HIM.
1 vote 1 time. and already registered to vote. hey while i was at it i called my parents and friends, i sat down with them, i showed them Ron Pauls voting record. his website, and his history. when they asked me questions i gave them the truth. funny, but my Mother the Sarah P fan will be voting for Ron. and most of my fiends will be as well. my dad on the other hand is a dyed in the wool Rep. but he will look and research like i have. lets see where this goes? RON PAUL supporters talk to your people. get them registered. and then get out and VOTE!!!
They don't spam the polls you buffoon. The country is waking up and realizing none of the contenders in the debate, or the man in the white house, has dealt with our problems regarding the wars and federal reserve destroying our currency. Ron Paul is the only credible candidate who has come forth. I was for Obama in 08' because I wanted an end to what bush started. Obama has not ended the war, in the midst of everything, he engages in the conflict in libya. If Paul doesn't win his way into the white house, the only candidate left who I would greatly consider voting for would be "Dennis Kucinich". We need an Anti-War president! Anti-Torture president and not one who contracts torture out to a third world country. Bring our troops home, stop securing the borders for other nations overseas and start dealing with our borders more efficiently, and stop telling other people how to live their lives around the world!
@Cameron Ford wrote "ron paul is crazy in that he want as little government as possible and we all know what that will entitle."
I really don't understand what you mean. What will that entitle? As for spammers and Ron Paul, I'm a very active Paul supporter from 2008 and currently, and at no time has anyone even suggested padding these polls
What's wrong with as little gov't as possible anyway? We have the gov't currently wiretapping us and even using rent a cops in some areas to detain and question anyone who appears to be a terrorist. A guy at the Mall of America was detained for 2 hours the other day for looking in the direction of the rent a cop suspiciously.
Yeah, we need a much smaller goverment, which will mean more freedom for us and a Constitution that is adhered to. No more Patriot Act! He'll get us out of the Middle East where we don't belong which will subsequently get us off 99.9% of any terrorist lists since we won't be raping and pillaging our way through their countries, killing innocents. He will make sure that jobs that have been outsourced will either return or the corporation will pay some serious tax penalties. And so on and so forth.
Our gov't is out of control. We have duplicate and triplicate agencies that all do the same kind of things, and are stocked with the same political cronies. Do we really NEED Secret Service, ATF, FBI, CIA, Dept. of Homeland Security all running around with one hand never knowing what the other is doing and none are accountable for their actions or their budgets!
Paul wants to audit and end the Fed. In all of the years in existence, the Fed has never once been audited! Ever seen a yearly commercial bank audit? It's BRUTAL, with even the most successful banks endking up paying fines and all. Auditing the Fed would END the Fed when the American public finally gets to see what has been happening with our economic system in their hands.
Sorry to go on so much, but it just sort of slipped out. But my original question stands about what it will entitle to have less gov't, because I really don't know what you want me to infer.
Thanks!
i Agree with alot of other poster who cares about any of them Obama 2012 FTW!!!!
I agree with this assessment-- I only voted for Cain because I had to vote for someone in order to be included in the poll, & I didn't want one of the repub favorites winning Ed's poll, too... Ed, I also agree with the responder below who asked why you didn't give us a 'none-of-the-above choice.... and DEMS, you better register to vote asap before all the repub govs/& state legislatures change the voting rules making it harder to register--- along those lines, EVERY DEM better VOTE next election--you think we're sorry now because many felt too demoralized to voter in Nov2010? Don't vote Dem in 2012, and see how you/we feel in Feb-Mar 2013 'cuz they won't waste 'ANY' time de-ing-everything they don't llike and what the U.S. is supposed to stand for.
It is not just going to be enough to get dems to vote. If you know anyone who works for a living, or is in a union, on medicare/medicaid, social security or is going to school --- let them know what republicans are doing as far as stripping our rights and putting the tax burden on all of us while dividing up OUR cake and feeding it to the wealthy. This is NOT a party thing, a liberal or conservative thing; folks everywhere are negatively affected, no matter what your party affiliation is. You get people to see that and it won't matter what b.s. laws they pass for voter supression.
The true winner was President Obama.
YEP!!!!
I totally agree, with 2.1 million jobs in 2.5 years that is more jobs than 8 years of
Bush. They basically want to privatize the entire country for profit (screwing the people)
I didn't think about saying him winner before I saw this, but you're absolutely right because [even though I only made it through a half-hour before I was too sick, and upset, and MAD and had to turn it off] they all showed they do NOT believe in the America I believe in, OR the values I believe in.
ALL DEMS better REGISTER [asap/take your family/take your friends] & VOTE in 2012 -regardless of situation, or we'll 'really' be sorry...
None of the above!!!
I agree. I could not vote either.
Waste of time..............Whatever happened to quality. Yikes.
None of them impress me and should not be running
Dee would you vote republican if the person "impressed" you?
Remember, they are all simple Lenin 'useful idiots' that follow the Piped Piper (Obama) - like zombies unable to think for themselves. You could offer them Charles Manson for President, and if he was a Progressive/Socialist, they would all vote for him. Just goes to show you how simple these far leftists really are, and how easily manipulated they are by the far left 'talking heads' like ED. If you get them off the talking points and rhetoric, and try to have a debate based on the facts, they run away like little children and play the race and class warfare game. They are free entertainment though after reading all their nonsense posts here. LMAO!!
How is Obama's economic recovery plan working for you guys? Going on 3 years now..
How is that 9%+ unemployment and rising inflation working for you? Where are the jobs?
How's the illegal war in Libya and the covert war in Yemen - War #3 & #4 - working for you?
Where are all the anti-war protests??? Hypocrisy in action because now its Obama.
How is the rising price in oil and gas working out for you? What is Obama's energy policy? He doesn't have one.
How is our relations with our best allies, e.g., Israel & UK going these days? WORSE!
How is that federal budget coming along? You know.. 3 years and still NO budget!
How is that $14+ Trillion DEBT and Democrat led DEFICIT working for you?
Clinton said that Healthcare & Social Security are in CRISIS due to spending - still in denial?
Why are troops in Iraq and Afghanistan when he said they would be out a year ago?
Obama is the "Clown in Chief" with a failing grade on his Presidential report card because he is all talk, and no successful action. You elected a 'car salesman' aka "Community Organizer" that can smooth talk you simple people and convince you with "Hope and Change" BS. How do you like the change I listed above? How's that hope working out for your job situation and household budget? He said in 2006 he wasn't prepared to be President....he should have took his own advice. Instead, he will be a one term President and a minor footnote in American history, "The Day Socialism Died in America." LMAO!
And yet politicalwatcher, here you are, night after night, unable to answer the topic provided, then cutting and pasting the same tired nonsense. Where exactly do you fit in one the "intelligent debate" scale? I have yet to see you "confront" the question asked.
pw makes assumtions about everyone on this site. He said no one here would vote for a Republican. That statement is FALSE. In the past I have voted for many Republicans, however, as many people who have posted on this site, the Republican party of today, in no way resembles the Republican party I grew up with. I was a moderate conservative until the Tea Party took over and made this into a group that hates the middle class, hates Democrats, and hates government in general. Until they go back to the pary they were, I will NEVER vote for another Republican again. I don't want anyone to get me wrong, I have mostly leaned toward the left wing Democrats, but there were times they didn't get it right and the Republican candidate received my vote. I don't see that happening again. I've learned to distrust anything that comes out of their mouths. So, pw, speak for yourself, don't try to tell people what we think, because you DON'T know us. I am getting so TIRED OF YOU. As I said, you don't know me or any of the other Liberals on this site so the assumptions you make are totally guess work on your part. Notice I have not demeaned you or called you names or expressed what I think is going on in that mind of yours. Either stick to the topic or be QUIET.
I can't vote on people I have no respect for.
They all suck who cares about republicans
Michele Bachmann aka Nostradumbass.
LOL . . . soooooooo funny !
ROTFLMAO....I agree MsT....that was funny
How about Bachmann/Palin for a Republican ticket?
Could call it the 'Bachmann Palin Overreach'
Hahahahahaha Chraz . . . actually if they choose ANY of the people in this debate today Obama and America win . . . I chose Mit Romney because there wasn't an option of " none of the above " . . . and if he is their candidate FOR SURE Obama and America win !!
Government Regulations SAVE LIVES and CREATE good-paying JOBS (for EDUCATED people)
Capitalism creates jobs for burger-flippers, toilet cleaners, spammers, prostitutes, porn purveyers, dope dealers, and every other dubious "free-enterprise" job out there
The question is this: do we want "intelligent" jobs (public sector) or "push-here-dummy" jobs (PhD) in the private sector?
I think that Bill Gates would disagree with you. Just saying
Can't say who "won", I only got through a half hour before I was throwing stuff at my TV.
Who won? If any of those dingbats get into office, it won't be the American people!
I'd say Obama won this one!
Ed, You forgot to give us the option to vote for none of the above.
For sure........I was hoping for a NO vote option.
Did not vote.................All talk....................They do not care about people.
I agree with Mr Democrat. There should have been an option for None of the above. None of them won. I agree, the true winner tonight was President Obama. Hope he takes the cue and runs with it.
