Looking forward to seeing you back soon. I support you 100%
I agree I think we are all in in support of Ed, I believe we are all human, He is awesome, I love Msnbc,
I support Ed. We get pretty nasty on this blog and he forgives us. It comes with getting worked up over these issues that makes people lose control over their emotions. Some do not take this stuff seriously. It is all a joke or a game. They dont think its real. But when they see their quality of life and pursuit of happiness deminish. Then it is to late to say Hey they were serious.
We need Ed back NOW. He knows what is going on and always tells it like it is.My Husband and I never miss his show.He said he was sorry that should be enought. Please put him back on.He is the reason we watch MSNBC.
5-25-2011
ed you are very valued, and how dare this network even suggest you did something wrong!! i love your passion, i love your honesty, i love your energy and i will not return as an msnbc viewer until you do!!! the rabid right are vile human beings and we get that!! you say what many of us want to say collectively!!! don't you dare change your presentation ed!!! hurry back!!!
Yes, I too am looking forward to Ed coming back, HE'S AWESOME. It seems as though MSNBC had a gun pointed to his head to make that apology. Really, Fox News makes all kinds of derogatory remarks about the President of the United States and they don't have to answer to anyone.
Not only is Laura a slut, she's a racist slut. I see why Keith Olberman left MSNBC ----- COWARDS!!!
And you are a typical right wing name caller. It seems thats all you guys know how to do.
you know that psychologists have proven, time and time again, that people who call other "faggot" or other homophobic names often times are having trouble reconciling their own homosexual tendencies. This has also been shown several times with preachers, pastors, and some republicans having sex with young boys, hired male prostitutes, and other men. Perhaps you would like someone to talk to about your own repressed homosexual desires. If so, there are many websites to help you.
Ed was speaking only the truth.
Laura Ingram has said worse.
simple answer
NO
I beg to differ i'll get u more if you need
YOUR THE BEST ED!!
You've done more for the common American worker than anyone else can hope to achieve and brought light to those who wish to undercut the basic values and principles of the United States. God bless you, Ed, and I eagerly wait your return!
I will miss you, Ed. I hope you come back soon. It will not be the same with out you.
I'm a bleeding heart liberal 75% of my daily TV viewing is on MSNBC. Before Keith left MSNBC the only time my TV wasn't on MSNBC during the week night was during The Daily Show, and Colbert Report. I was rarely home for the Ed Show when he was on before Hardball. However I saw his show enough to be turned off by Ed. I tried to watch Ed's show in hopes it would grow on me, but instead I found it less and less tolerable. Even as background noise while fixing dinner it was barely tolerable! I will occasionally tune in to hear a guest, (or when he was in Wisconsin) but usually find myself unable to watch him. I find Ed (a former GOP conservative radio personality who supported Bush in 2000) to be a blowhard. He's all gut and little intellect. Ed's the liberal version of Colbert's satirical character. I'm sure Ed has a good heart and is trying his best, which is why I feel sorry for Ed. He is an intellectual light weight in a network full of intellectual heavy weights. Ed has passion, and stands out, but to those who care about accuracy, and are into fact based arguments, and not emotional/bombast without factual support, he is not merely a sore spot in MSNBC programming, but an embarrassment.
However even if I could stomach Ed's show I would not defend his conduct. Had Keith or Lawrence done this I would have been equally offended. Frankly Ed should have been suspended for much longer. When David Schuster complained the Clinton's were pimping Chelsea out, which he did not mean as a literal sexual term, but was saying they were using her to campaign, and to get the youth support, but wouldn't make her available for interviews, he was suspended from the air for a lot longer than 1 week. When Jerry Brown (or his aide) was caught on tape referring to Whitman as a wh*re, because she was willing to make promises she couldn't keep to get a public employee union's endorsement, it was a huge deal. It was clear the reference to Whitman wasn't intended in a sexual manner, but referred to Whitman's willingness to lie and make promises she couldn't keep for political purposes. In the legal field experts who will testify falsely to support their client's position are referred to by lawyers as wh*res. Both male and female attorney's use this term in reference to expert's who compromise their integrity by testifying falsely for a buck. Every expert I've heard referred to as a wh*re happened to be male. Unlike the two examples above, there is no non-sexual meaning of the term sl#t. Even when the word is used regarding a male, it still refers to his loose sexual morals! Calling any female a sl*t on the radio (or on TV, or at a public appearance) is referring to a woman by a derogatory sexual term, and it is an insult to all women. Ed got off too easy!
Make no mistake I'm no fan of Laura Ingraham. However, even if Ed made the remark about Anne Coulter, who I loath, he would have been wrong. A man should never publicly denigrate a women by using a vile sexual term. Resorting to use of a vile sexual term not only shows lack of intellect (Keith, Rachel, Lawrence or Chris would have come up with a gender neutral non-sexual put down), but using a vile sexual term denigrates all women, not merely the woman in question! Those defending Ed's conduct are saying it is OK to denigrate women through use of vile sexual terms, because they don;t like Ingraham and like Ed, that's wrong! It doesn't matter how much someone likes the person making the slur, or dislikes the woman being denigrated, it is never acceptable to use sexual slurs to denigrate a woman, because it denigrates all woman!
I would like to apologize to Ed and MSNBC and to my fellow bloggers for my out burst here last night on this blog. But I refuse to apologize to the nasty GOP backed bloggers on this page until I hear or see a total apology from Fox and GOP bloggers. Fox needs to apologize to the President.
hawkeye, ed is a heavy weight compared to anyone from the right.
Hawkeyedemocrat said a mouthfull above. I do not agree with the assessment of Ed. Ed has never been an ultra conservative "Bushie". So you need to back such an assertion with a fact check to be credible. As for Laura Ingraham. Ed was wrong to use the dreaded "S" term. And he apologized for it. Enough said. If he had just substituted the word "racist" instead of "S" he would have been 100% on target. And no apology would be necessary. Because Ingraham wears that monicker as a badge of honor.
So don't back off of her when you come back Ed. In fact double down with the truth. She is a virulent racist. Just fact check some of the awful names and caricatures she has embraced and spoken about President Obama and people of color in the past. On her radio show, she routinely laughed about President Obama's "Ears" in conversation with racists who portrayed our President as a Monkey (Curious George). She didn't denounce it. She defended them and supported them. She is racist, offensive, and a lot of derogatory things. But the "S" word went too far. But I sure hope Ed doesn't muzzle himself too much and back off race baiting racists and Human rights haters like her. To me she is a racist abomination. But to her supporters she is a pure Snow White.
Interestingly Hawkeyedemocrt, Ed did indeed call Ann Coulter a slut a couple years ago.
It was on Air America, so I am not sure if anyone besides me was listening though.
I am unclear as to why if you are a conservative female you are automatically a "slut" in Ed-land.
I never said Ed was a Bushie, unless voting for Bush in November 2000 makes someone a Bushie. More than once Ed has said it was a mistake not to vote for Gore in 2000, and he regretted voting for Bush. Schultz was not just a conservative radio host, he seriously considered running against ND's only Congressman, Democrat Earl Pomeroyin 1994, but Ed decided against it after ND GOP leaders talked him out of it. Presumably Ed's incident during his 1988 broadcast of the ND State- Northern Michigan game made Ed too toxic even to run as the GOP's sacrificial congressional candidate. Ed was a registered GOP prior to 2000, and according to Ed himself supported Bush and other GOP candidates in the 2000 election.
In an interview with the LA Times Schultz said he was a Republican, because they were "anti-tax and I want to make a lot of money." In a 2005 interview with Bill O'Reilly he talked about his change from a conservative talk radio host to a liberal after his second marriage. Ed volunteered his views on abortion without O'Reilly asking about it.: "Now, as far as abortion is concerned, in my heart I'm a Christian. I'm against it...."
In a 2/21/05 Newsweek article about Ed written by Jonathon Darmon, Ed was still a social conservative, and not just on abortion. The article states: "Ideologically, Schultz is all Democrat--he likes universal health care and labor unions, hates Wal-Mart and corporate crooks--but he also delights in hacking away at his party's more sensitive side. When a gay listener recently called to complain about homophobia, Schultz cut him off. He believes Democrats shouldn't talk up gay rights, just like they shouldn't bash God and guns. Schultz says liberals had better get used to his brand of tough love if they want to win in the heartland."
If you only discovered Schultz since he's been a liberal host on MSNBC the above would surprise you. However if you heard Ed's radio show while Clinton was in office, when his anti-Clinton rhetoric rivaled Limbaugh's, saw Ed interviewed in the late 90's or even early 2000's, or knew anyone who worked with Ed in Fargo (University of Iowa's AD Gary Barta, WMT radio personality Bob Bruce) you would not be surprised by the above, and you certainly wouldn't claim Ed was not once a right winger!
Today Ed's a liberal, but the majority of his radio career has been as a right winger, and as late as 2005 he felt Midwest Democrats were as backward as he was and oppose gay rights!
Given you apparently didn't know Ed when he was a Limbaugh wanna be in a medium size radio market, doesn't make the truth about Ed's past false. I suggest you fact check Ed's past, or even read one of his earlier books.
I'm glad Ed has evolved from a right winger to a liberal, but clearly he still needs to evolve. Just as he was wrong in 2005 to think Midwest Democrats are against gay rights, he doesn't understand calling any woman a slut, who isn't an actual prostitute, denigrates all women!
I don't think Ed should back off in criticism of right wingers, but instead of being a liberal version of his prior conservative blowhard radio persona, how about taking a page out of Keith, Rachel and Lawrence's book by valuing facts, taking the time to learn the subject, expanding his vocabulary and avoid immature name calling and slurs, and resort to stinging retorts.
Badchess I didn't hear Ed on Air America, I found him revolting back when he was a right winger crusading against Bill Clinton in the 1990's. Plus we didn't have Air America in Iowa. I find Ann Coulter to be a despicable excuse for a human, and if God is just she'll rot in hell. But even calling Coulter a slut on the radio is wrong, it denigrates all women. However if the stories about Ann's personal life are true her promiscuous past would cause some to feel the term is accurate.
It seems to me his usage means "female who has different political views than I currently hold"
I didn't listen often, and just happened to catch him saying that while driving home from work.
Since I've listened to him maybe two hours in my entire life, and heard him using "slut" to describe women, I assume it is not an uncommon occurrence with him.
Ed.
I heard what you said about that lady and to tell the truth I was surprised. It sounded like Lindbaugh and I knew that that wasn't you.
But I also heard your apology and I applause you for such a heartfelt talk. Your apology made me realize tha you too are human. Your apology was the best, most heartfelt apology I have ever heard. It takes a real, courageous man to apologize like you did. You realized your mistake, and you apologized for it. I have never heard a person from the media say anything coming close to what you said. You made me realize that, you are the man.
I hope that you will return to the show real soon. We need your voice and your wisdom to help this country get back to it's roots. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all that you have done so far.
badchess, Ann Coulter comes off as a wild eyed nutcase, and I myself have seen her telling Farce News commentators some things had only the tiniest grain of truth among the words intended to bring one to the wrong conclusion about that speck of truth. I have heard some pretty wild and abrasive things from Laura Ingraham as well. I really don't think the cause of the name calling is being on opposite sides of a topic, I think the name calling is incited by the rabid way both of those women approach a topic.
I don't think provoking bad behavior is any more good debate practice than the bad behavior.
If you consider what made Ed go off the deep end and call Ms. Laura what he call her. you would understand if you think. She was praising Cantor for playing politics with the Joplin ,Missouri survivors FEMA relief money. Cantor said the relief money that is sent to Joplin should be offset with a cut to Green Energy.
hawkeyedemocrat..... You know it is a free country. A person can change their mind on any subject. They can even change political parties. Some famous ones have. Ronald Reagan was a Democrat at one time. Yup a person can change their views. I did read the "2005 interview with Bill O'Reilly he talked about his change from a conservative talk radio host to a liberal after his second marriage"
I read it here:
www.newshounds.us/2005/01/14/liberal_radio_guy_ed_schultz_hangin_out_with_mr_oreilly.php
I'd like to thank his second wife for showing him the light.... our truth. He has become a voice for all of us who have little chance to be heard. We need more voices like his and others on MSNBC.
You know I understand NBC merged with Comcast. I was wondering how that would affect MSNBC's lineup... I hope they are not looking for excuses to get ride of my favorite shows. I have been doing some reading online. We have Comcast Cable service at the moment. That will definitely change if my favorite shows are changed. There are other providers in our area. They may just get our business. We will see what happens.
Ed I hope you are back soon. I hope you always have a way to communicate with us. Free speech is so important, but so powerful. It's freedom to share ideas. Sometimes the powerful want to corner the market on that. Maybe that is why it, ( freedom of speech ), is protected and written into our constitution. I know the temptation to give into raw feelings on important matters... Been there. But it is our ideas that are so important.... we all need to communicate our ideas freely. Some here just blow off stream, but that doesn't get their ideas across. I've been tempted to type what is better unsaid. Typing has saved me LOL. I can back space..... Can't backspace my tongue. Ed hang in their. You know we, the middle class, are being squeezed and undercut by the rich and powerful. Thank your wife for showing you our side. Thank you for laying it on the line to show the middle class side, not just catering to the rich and powerful... Like so many in the media do.
Apparently you are unaware of how that came to be Soda. It was a few Tea Party members who started referring to themselves and their party members as teabaggers(in an attempt to solidify themselves under a "cool" name). It was Rachel whom I saw first addressing this on her show but it could have been one of the others first. She basically said, Um are you guys sure you really want to go with that name because the one definition of a teabagger is...I believe she asked them to google it if I remember correctly.
The fact that you or others now know the other meaning of what a teabagger is(I could be wrong, you could know for personal reasons too, I wont assume), is because Rachel and the others are very good at polital satire and the Tea party now gave them a name to call them that also gives a snicker every time they do. The ones who coined the term first kept using it after it was pointed out as well, so why shouldn't Rachel and others?
You may want to fire off a thank you letter to Rachel for educating you guys on what it means, because apparently your guys didn't know. She could have waited until it was on all signs and brochures(instead of some) before she did, then think of how embarrassed you would be lol
So ya, we know why it was dumb for those Tea Party leaders to call themselves teabaggers. That's the joke they made of themselves with it.
Teabagger fits, these mindless fools are being teabagged every day by the Koch brothers.
Actually soda, it originally came about because of a Tea party protest act where they called for people to send a tea bag in an envelope to the white house. The headline on reteaparty.com read Teabag the Fools in D.C.
Teaparty members turned it into a verb(not knowing it's meaning) thus coining their own name since they are the ones doing the teabagging, as teabaggers.
It was reported on March 14 of that year by, interestingly enough, Griff Jenkins of Fox News(ya a real liberal) and it went from there.
If I got the details of the original episode wrong, sorry if I crossed a couple of reports on it, it's been awhile and I don't usually watch any of them much so I was going on memory. But I knew it was not for the reasons you were perporting. Still doesn't change my original point though.
I jumped in only because I knew what you were saying wasn't correct, not because I am one of YOUR liberals.
After reading some of your other comments here, the ones I could anyway, are you sure that you really want to be psychoanalysing ME on my motives and blind adherence to party lines or even insults?
Considering I am on the outside looking in as well as a Certified Psychologist by trade (though I don't usually practice here at NV, I like to keep my work life separate, and I do), I can't unlearn the knowledge I have concerning, defence mechanisms, guilt, paranoia, delusions, group pack mentality, denial, hostility etc, just to take away an unfair advantage I might have over you.
So I wont play with your baiting. Have a nice evening soda.
poor teabaggers not happy with their fitting names. koch brothers teabag them all day
Silly teabaggers always trying to blame others for their own doings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUViMs1M-N4
I do find much more hate on the these blogs than most others. The Left is extremely intolerant of opposing views.
And the term teabaggers is a false equivalency because it applies to both male and female teabaggers equally. No gender bias was applied.
Just a snicker, for their faux-pas.
Laura Ingram isn't fit to lick Ed Shultzes shoes. He is a common sense defender of citizens rights, and she's an arrogant and witless hate monger. She should be apologizing for polluting the airwaves with inane and thoughless brainfarts, and for taking a job that should go to someone with a modicum of talent or insight. The main difference between them is that Ed Shultz actually contributes to the betterment of society.
I dont know what Ed said but I really think an apology is enough... he is awesome and needs to stay on the show... i love msn Morning Joe and I like Rachel but Ed is awesome!!!
This just tells you who controls the media the Reich wing republipukes. Just remember who signs Eds checks GE.
Comcast is still right wing. You appeare to be the idiot.
Hey Sodapop ,you genious, Comcast has a 51% share and therefore owns GE.
Okay, so not knowing what happened before making public comments is par for the course at this network. Thanks, Mary, for being honest. At least someone here is.
Ed i miss you last night, it takes a lot of courage to make that apology on national television i give you a lot of credit for doing that. I look at your show every night because i have learn a lot from it and i hope to see you back again on the ED SHOW at 10pm every night. please come back the apology is enough MSNBC SHOULD TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION HOW MUCH YOU HAVE DONE TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC
And how much of comcast does GE own geniuos?
Have you ever considered anger management?

don't actually trust wikipedia anymore.

I watch MSN in the morning and every night... I must have missed whatever Ed said that was so offensive... but it can't be so bad that he must resign!!!!
Ed is a crusader in the fight to make this country great again. He is not going to let us down and quit. He can still be emotional but maybe he should take some lessons from Lawrence and tell them off intellectually. Maybe like that dude on the Bowery Boys. Even if the words dont fit they get through to the point because they are big words(and clean).
He said it on his radio program
It had to do on what he said on the radio and not on his televsion show.
he called a woman radio host a HIGHLY offensive slur (twice) on his radio show.
he said what she is whats wrong with the truth is it only fox noise lies that can be spun to you sheep that can be repeated day after day.
It was on his radio program.
Imus said basically the same thing and every left wing nut from Sharpton to Jackson rioting in the streets to get him fired, but when its one of your own its OK right ? HYPOCRITES!!!! Another reason to despise Dems and GOP
Regardless of the name used, Ed showed an intolerance of opposing thought that was on equivalent, or possibly worse, that of Glenn Beck. It rivaled former MSNBC star Keith O.
I fully support Ed and want to see him back NOW! Do not let a momentary slip of the truth keep this warrior for the people off the air.
I agree, ED should not let his TV program comparing his radio program which is a lot more fire up... those gopERs sure don't take a heartbeat to slam Hillary Clinton's ass.. I remember the media cameras always liked to follow her around and aim the camera at her rear end and legs. The Fox News cast also made slurs about her size. Yet, Mrs George W. ass was bigger yet not a camera aimed.. Ed said he was sorry to a woman who makes a living out of saying nasty things about liberal people.
They can dish it out but can't take it.. or how bout this one STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES BUT NAMES WILL NEVER HURT ME!
ED PLEASE DO NOT GIVE AN INCH, STAY ON YOUR PROGRAM WE LOVE YOU BECAUSE YOU TELL THE TRUTH. I THOUGHT THEY PUT YOU ON AT 10 pm because all the seniors would be in bed asleep. Ed should be on when the bloc that votes who are seniors can hear his words of truthiness. remember always we are your supporters MSNBC better not do any kind of firing .. or I will watch Rachel on the internet.
You claim that she says bad things about liberals all the time. Can you site a few examples?
Hawkeye- maybe you give Chris too much credit. "She-devil?" Hillary was his invention, and he oft refers to her as such.
Ed should be brought back ASAP!! We really need his voice in this "strange" political atmosphere! An apology should be enough. He slipped ... under the circumstances I certainly understand. He is very passionate about his opinions, and this "lady" Laura got his goat.
Get Ed back, please!
I agree. Put Ed back on his show right away. We need his voice, his wisdom and his energy to get this country going again.
please put ed back on the air. he apologized. that's more than the fox news crew
would do.
we lost keith oberman (he was great), i hope ed not next. we need men like them
to speak up for us.
Ed, take the week to regroup and come on back. We need you and support you 100%.
Ed, you have totally energized the Democrats, and we need you back.
For the record YOU have far higher standards than anyone on FOX. The conservatives rant 100x worse venom every single day.
I know you don't consider others bad behaviors as license for anything similar.
While you are off the air, I will be taking a vacation from MSNBC.
We are together with you in solidarity!
MSNBC must have WAY higher standards.
Check out what Ingraham's Mentor was in the middle of.... and HE took a day off! do a search on youtube "bill o'reilly sexual harassment" . There is also an expanded story on it in the smokinggun dot com.
By all rights, O'reilly should have been fired for this. But here he is 7 years later.
Ricky- is it your position that Bill O'Reilly should have been fired for a "He said, She said" and no proof either way, but that Bill Clinton was absolutely defensible in utilizing someone on his payroll for sexual favors?
Rusty, there is an old saying in the broadcasting industry. Don't dip your pen in the company INK. If you play by that rule, and find love in other places besides the workplace life becomes a lot easier.
The terminology Talk **** and Right wing **** could be used in an Asexual way. Meaning someone who is fast and loose with the TRUTH. Laura has never let the truth get in her way of her sorry rants.
As far as anyone thinking of Laura in a "sexual" connotation. She doesn't even show up! She is definetly NOT part of the EYE CANDY on FOX.
It could be said that she has the opposite effect as viagra on me.
After seeing her on TV all I want to do is drink scalded milk and play scrabble at the homeless shelter.
I think of Laura from the neck UP and I don't like what spews out of her right-wing pie hole. IF she is anything, she is a stone cold talking points vomit machine!!! That part I am sticking to!
Ricky, from your answer, I take it you think Bill Clinton would have had an easier time of it had he kept his pen in his pocket.
As far as Laura, I didn't even realize she was a Fox News Person. I thought she had her own talk radio show. In fact, a brief look at the Fox website regarding their shows doesn't list her. Are you folks positive she has a Fox show? Or are you making up stories to fit your needs?
Bill Clinton was always a womanizer even when he was Governor of Arkansas. I know someone that worked for the Sherriffs Dept. in Arkansas and they used to pick him up call girls all the time. But that was not brought out until he got caught .I think it is worse that the leader of his impeachment was doing the same thing.
Laura leveraged her host fill in role at FOX news into a sidebar of her own radio show. As I remember, she started the radio stage as the fill in for E.D. Hill, who was the original eye candy for Fox and friends when they first went on the air. Laura later became the co-host of the "O'Reilly radio show", which is no longer in production.
So, no, Laura was a TV person at FOX first, then moved over to radio with the help of her mentor, Bill O'Reilly.
E.D was, and continues to be more of a liberal viewpoint, and there were more than a few flareups on the "O'Reilly" radio show... E.D. was phased out, and Laura had a second place to make a fortune as a talking points parrot for the Extreme right POV.
The back story on EYE CANDY at fox.
I would dare say that the eye candy thing was a total fluke as FOX was too cheap to buy furniture that was higher up in the air, which allowed for a peculiar look at E.D. Hill's knees and lower legs. Once the powers that be figured out that the new popularity was due to old conservative letches leering at her legs for 2 hours every morning as the main event, a full fledged assault was made on the horndogs of the world with a new generation of Fox news readers that had no previous journalistic background, but had won beauty contests, or modeled somewhere. Sorry, but true!
On the INK issue. YES! Horn-dogs come in all political flavors, Democrat and Republican. It is said that one of the key things that politicans have in common with used car salesmen - they take pride in the manner and volume of their conquests. Some men hunt for big elephant trophy... others pursue the skirts.
I truly do not understand the logic, of how someone who has risen to power does not realize how fragile their relationship is with the public. At the very least, you would think they would be more careful. But you see it again and again, with some dumb old bear of a man with his head in a garbage pail trying to feed his insatiable lust. And you thought a drug habit was expensive? This lust habit of hunting for the endorphin rush with an improper partner is most addictive as well.
more proof that progressives take the high road and admit when they are wrong
i await the apology from the drugster for all vile remarks he has spewed over the years but I'm not holding my breath
LMAO!! You're kidding right?????
Yeah, and then they replace Ed with the undercover Republican who's on in the morning. What a joke!
Yeah tonights show was weak . Ed has that charisma.
You'll probably wait many, many years before you will hear a conservative appologize for anything.
Ed, I commented earlier but clearly on the wrong story. I am apalled with your circumstance because you, of all people, tell the truth. I think your apology, although sincere, was not necessary given the nature of the comments from the right wing of our political spectrum. I am with you with your fight to give the Middle Class, Working Class, and the Poor, a voice in this country. I will do what I can to make Comcast and GE WAKE-UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First Comcast chased Olbermann away. I only just recently returned to them (1 month ago) since they did that dastardly act. And because I love, O'Donnell, Maddow and Big Ed. I'm 50/50 on Chris Mathews because he always present himself as 50/50 on everything.
But if the same right wing perpetrators who own Comcast chase Ed away too. I'm done with MSNBC for good!
Comcast is an ultra right wing Vicar just like Fox. They are just trying to usher in Fox/GOP Lite with subtle changes in MSNBC programming. Because the current group (sans Mathews) has huge influence and powerful impact in the progressive and moderate conservative communities. And they have stealthily constructed a new right wing/GOP political organization/shill out here amongst us called "No Labels". It is the same tactic they used with the "Tea Bag" scam. Except this time it is aimed at the middle of the political spectrum. It is not a "Non-Partisan" initiative that its founders purport. They are GOPERs fronted by staunch Bush supporter, Mark McKinnon (of Swift Boat fame). And others funded by the Koch Bros, Sinclair's, Mellon-Scaife's and similar ultra hard right ideologues.
"No Labels" and MSNBC are slowly being erected to trick us progressives again to vote for "Compassionate Conservatism". So just watch out as they over time engineer out our heroes like Big Ed, Keith, Rachel and O'Donnell. And replace them with pliable GOP conservatives like the guy who subbed for Ed last night and Joe Scarborough. MSNBC is slowly becoming the "Fox" guarding the GOP's real FOX Hen House IMO. ANd the way Big Ed returns will clearly spell this out for me.
I think we need Ed, Keith, Rachel and Lawrence, and I must agree that MSNBC seems to be replacing our heroes with milquetoast wannabeer. I feel very sad as one by one the fighters for workers are removed from viewers. The racist party of hate says things much worse than what Ed said and do much worse than what Keith did but they never apologize. And never will. They feel empowered to speak the evil thoughts people had learned to at least pretend not to have for awhile but now are happy to spew at will with the support of the party of hate.
At least R & D are allowed to have a voice. Independent candidates have been silenced and forgotten.
We love Ed too. This is all just lie and right wing propaganda. Just look at Ed's fat loveable bloated head !? He couldn't have possibly said something so bad... We love you Eddie - please keep your huge slobbering commie mouth open.
The right just can't help but call names. But you can bet there will never be an appology from them.
Larry.....I am starting to think that you dont watch pmsnbc.
Hurry back to fixed news slayer, glenn beck is missing an idiot
bpepik doesn't even know what shes angry about, cause ed made fun of ingram the slut? she slobs on bachmans knob, bachmans a man right?(and yes I know I misspelled all the names, but why remember the names of nobodies? right?)
Ed truly serves this country by doggedly covering the Wisconsin political shenanigans that are ongoing - without Ed, folks on the West Coast might never have heard of Scott Walker, et al. PLEASE MSNBC, forgive Ed as he has "misspoke" as everyone does now and then.
Patricia,
Ed did a good job covering the WI union story, but MSNBC was all over it, not just Ed. And you don't have that many protesters show up without the media taking notice. Ed did a great job on that story, but it was a pretty simple black and white story, and giving all, let alone substantial credit, to Schultz is factually incorrect!
Calling a woman a sl*t, twice is not misspeaking! It was indefensible. The fact people on the right wing, or even Laura Ingraham herself, have done far worse does not excuse it. It is a vile sexual slur, and it was not only offensive to all women, not merely the subject of his slur, but it reflects the fact that Ed is a blowhard, who speaks without thinking, and lacks the intellect and vocabulary to put Ingraham in her place without resorting to sexual slurs. Passion without intellect is a recipe for becoming a blowhard, and Schultz is a blowhard!
hawkeye, what are you? .. a comcast tool getting paid .50 cents a post?
You've made your case ad nauseum and we're not buying so go trolling on another site. Please! Just go!
I can't understand what all the fuss is about. Calling her a "right-wing slut" certainly isn't a compliment, but it isn't anywhere near as offensive as things said nightly on Fox and most of right-wing talk radio. It's a comment on her politics and the way she trades away her intellectual honor and good name as a serious analyst by lying, spinning, and using convoluted logic to defend conservative ideas and policies.
NBC is being WAAAAY oversensitive about this. Unless there's more that I didn't read about, the network brass need to acknowledge today's political climate.
mpguy.. are u kidding me? can you give me some example of smearing, lying and spinning that is said nightly on Fox? that comes anywhere near to "right wing slut??? come on.. can ya?
I would like to see any quote by a fox employee that is that vile. I dont believe you can find one
Contact the people at Media Matters. They record everything, and I'll bet that they have a veritable treasure trove of such comments. I would imagine that they'll be trotting out a representative sample soon.
It also wouldn't be hard to find a quote referring to Obama in racist terms, or calling him (or some other progressive) "Hitler" or some similar term that's much worse. Those comments happen daily on the radical right-wing "network."
Find one. and send the link I'll wait.

Need I go on? Because I could, EASILY. These are just from Beck and Limbaugh.
You just don't want to admit they do it. If you honestly listened it wouldn't be hard to hear. But then the radical right only hear what they want and don't consider slandering the President of the USA as vile.
I could find a hundred from msnbc saying that repub's are bigots and racists now that is vile. I would like to see the nightly things fox says that is so vile. I haven't found anyone on this blog that can back up there statements. Like a bunch of school-kids calling names
Larry you are wrong.
jobongo I looked at the first 3links you sent me and well Ahhh I cant find anywhere where rush(who does not work for fox) or GB using any thing like what you say could you be more specific maybe you should read the links b4 you post them rather than googling fox sucks and forwarding the first 5 that sound good.
Please then, back up your words with action. If you tell me that Rush Limbaugh is not adored, quoted, and brought on by Fox News as a credible source than I believe you are wrong, how about some evidence of "a hundred from MSNBC saying that repub's are bigots and racists" Which are all usually preceded by quotes explaining why they believe that. Perhaps you should even watch Daily Show, because though he has a liberal bias, he does go after them when they say stupid or racist remarks, but its just too easy to go after Fox because it happens so often.
jo jo jo.........When was the last time rush was on fox?? I cant remember the last time he was if ever. He is quoted all the time on msnbc. You are asking me to show the hundreds of times msnbc has called repubs racists and bigots and then you admit that they do say it ....BUT bla bla bla so I guess i dont have to send you the links you have heard them already. Don't tell me you get your news from a comedy show!! please say it aint so jo. you have yet to show me any quote aside from GB calling Obama a racist to prove your point. As far as msnbc you have admitted that they do use those words.
How about this one, Elk? Explain this away...
Fox doesn't just attack a person, they go for a whole country! And if you don't find what was quoted in this article offensive, think of how you would feel if another country said that about the U.S....
It's interesting that whatever insult is used by the left suddenly becomes "the most vile thing in the world," while anything said by someone on the right is always a perfectly accurate depiction of "the truth" and well within the bounds of propriety.
If Ed had said, "Laura Ingraham isn't a very nice person," the right would be up in arms over that "horrible" statement.
That's why so many radicals flock to the right. It's a very comfortable intellectual environment in which to reside. No cognitive dissonance.
I'm a liberal Democrat, admittedly I'm not a fan of Ed, but love the rest MSNBC'snightly line up, and miss Keith. It doesn't matter what Fox, Rush or others do, or have done, what Ed did can't be defended. You don't call a women a sl*t, period end of discussion. Ed not only denigrated all women by doing so, but exposed that he doesn't have the intellectual depth of his colleagues on MSNBC.
People defending Ed are saying it is ok to call a woman who you find offensive a sexual slur. If it is ok for Ed to call Ingraham, or Coulter, or anyone else a sl*t, then it's ok for Rush to call the First Lady a sl*t. Neither is OK. It isn't about Laura Ingraham, and whether she is a mean spiritedright wing flame thrower (she clearly is), and it isn't about whether Ed is now a passionate left wing commentator (who was a GOP and conservative radio host for most of his career) who promotes issues you care about. The issue is simple is it OK to use vile sexual slurs to publicly denigrate any woman, and the answer should be a resounding no!
Neither is okay. Ed has apologized. Let's move on.
good god -- there are worse comments on this blog than anything you hear on FOX....I watch both nightly. People should really start doing that. It helps you educate yourself, instead of being solidly one side or the other. The people here who are blasting FOX are just sheep.
And as for slurs on FOX, it doesn't happen. I saw comments about Obama's birth certificate. Let me tell you, I saw multiple times on Fox during the Donald Trump incident, all the anchors and commentators were practically unanimous in saying they didn't doubt his birth, and that it's a non-issue -- even Karl Rove said that.
So for people who sit here and claim that FOX is more insulting, get a life. We're not keeping scorecards on who insults who worse. We can only stamp it out when we notice it.
Kudos, Eric. So true. And the fact that someone has taken the time to place proof by putting up quotes that don't show anything from someone that Fox fired and another that doesn't work for Fox isn't exactly proof. The allegation, and acceptance of that by most on here, that there is worse on Fox nightly is ludicrous.
Ed, I appreciate your apology but couldn't imagine what could have been so offensive. All I was thinking as you were speaking was...Ed, I've said some things myself and just wanted you to do your show and move on. Love ya ED. You brought WI into focus when most of us knew next to nothing about what was happening there. I can't thank you enough for that! You were instrumental in reawakening my political drive=~} That, my friend, was priceless!!! Please come back soon, please, please, please!
If msnbc don't bring you back I not watch it anymore!!! Ed you are the voice of the middle class. We want you back!!!
Then I pity the middle class.
hawkeyedemocrat... The middle Class doesn't want pity! They want a voice, and that's what Ed gave them! A safe outlet to voice their frustrations with the right and Fox. What Ed said wasn't right, and I don't condone it in anyway shape or form. However, he apologized for it, it was sincere, so move on! We get it, you don't like Ed, or his show (seriously we get it), but that doesn't mean that others feel your disdain for the man. Should he have said it? No. I don't think anyone, be them male or female, should call a woman a slut (and I absolutly do NOT like that woman). Should he have his show cancled for saying something on his RADIO show? No. It has nothing to do with his TV show and therefore he should not have to be suspended, especially since he apologized for it.
That would be like you doing or saying something realizing it shouldn't have been done or said, apologizing for it (while being completely sincere), and then having people say "Sure, whatever, now you're not welcome back here anymore until I decide I believe you" It's petty and immature
Charlene, who said anything about his TV show being cancelled? MSNBC has accepted Ed's offer to be suspended one week without pay. That isn't harsh punishment for his huge error in judgment! If MSNBCwere to cancel his show it should be for ratings, a better host, etc. But a one week suspension for publicly referring to any women, even Ingraham, as a slut is proper.
No one needs to agree that Ed went from being a right wing Limbaugh wanna be in the 80's and 90's, to a liberal version of his former self. And there are things Ed champions that I applaud, but when people claim he said he was sorry, and that should be the end of it, or it is ok to call a women a slut because of the woman's vile views justify it, that's wrong. Ed was suspended a week, he won't notice the loss of a week's pay.
MSNBC learned with Imus that words matter, and they were going to only suspend him for a week, until the public uproar didn't die down. MSNBC was harder on David Shuster, even though he apologized sincerely as well. It is not immature to require a sanction, and not merely an apology, even Faux news required Glen Beck to be off the air for a couple days for one of his crazy racist statements.
I don't usually paint a whole political group with a broad brush. I tend to think that there is good and bad in both... But I have to say.... For me, being called a Republican is worse then being called a slut and far more harmful to more people. They proved that to me with their stance on only looking at the expense side of the budget equation... placing Entitlements on the guillotine.. While refusing to look at revenues.. keeping the Bush tax cuts off the table... Holding to lowering taxes further for the wealthy and Big Business. They voted in lock step...... Nearly all the Republicans voted for not ending the Big Oil subsidies. They have succeeded in making Republican a dirty word now. They have along way to come back before they can reclaim a good name after that vote.....
I don't know what Ed said, but I want him reinstated ASAP. The GOP has lied used racial slurs on TV, an apology is enough.
Lady HW if you don't know what Ed said, then do yourself a favor, and educate yourself. After finding out decide whether you think it is OK to use vile sexual slurs to refer to a woman. An apology is the first step. There has to be some punishment. As I tell my kids, talk is cheap. A one week suspension is the least MSNBC could do, and it was what Ed came to the meeting offering to do.
I don't think it's okay to use those terms. I do think Ed's body of work speaks for itself. He has apologied and I know he's sincerely sorrow. Will be glad to see him back. He does great work on behalf of working people.
If he is sincerely sorry how come he does this thing (call a female he disagrees with) a slut?
Fox News will have a field day with this story and we will have a narrative of our own. Hang in there ED. We will no longer sit back and watch Fox, the Tea Party, the Right Wing or Republicans set the agenda.
They will slip up and one or more of them will be gone. MSNBC reporters have got to be tired of Foxes crap.
omg -- did you even watch fox? they didn't have a field day at all - all the commentators, down the line, Hannity, O'Reilly, Beck, ALL said they will take Ed at his word when he apologized.
Geez -- try watching it before you claim you know what they will do.
Ed speaks for me. He shouldn't have used the language he used, but considering the subject, and how offensive she can be, let's not go overboard. We need the voice of Ed Schultz on television.
I agree, Ed is doing a great service for us "little guys"!! Thanks Ed & get back soon!
LI DESERVED EXACTLY what Ed called her. I am a feminist and hate gender related insults like the c and s words, but if any females ever deserved those labels, it is LI as well as Ann Coulter. These two females preach more right wing hate, based on their alleged Christian Family values...which in my opinion are as phony as they are.
Look at all the right wing phonies who Impeached Clinton when every one of them leading the charge were doing as bad and far worse than anything Clinton even imagined. You think Ed is a bad guy for describing LI thusly?
Well, do any of you GOP right wingers have a problem with Sean Hannity hiring a Mexican (illegal alien) prostitute when he was working a story down in Brownsville, TX? He was busted by the cops after he was heard in a cheap motel room yelling at her to spread her legs wider to catch his eruption and calling his member Great American. I am trying to clean this up as much as possible for mixed company, but Sean's conduct sure makes it hard to do. And the GOP right wingers had a big issue with what Bill Clinton did?
Do any of you GOP right wingers have a problem with Rush Limpdick doctor shopping to obtain scripts for large doses of Oxycotin? How about possession of a prescription of Viagra in the name of another person that he brought back into the country with him from the Caribbean? If that had been anyone else but a GOP extremist right winger, our butts would have been buriedd 50 feet UNDER the jail. GWB was busted in TX twice for possession of over a pound of cocaine with intent to distribute (back in the days up to age 28 when the punishment would have been LIFE IN PRISON). But Poppy bought both cases for him and he went on to become the pResident Select in 2000. Yes, I could quote you chapter and verse of illegal acts, misdemanors and felonies, the GOP are arrested for committing yet they never go to jail. Remember when JEB's wife, Columba was busted by customs for brining back $20,000 in Paris fashions and jewelry which she didn't declare even when they confronted her with the purse full of receipts. These people have a whole other way of looking at the rule of law. Laws are never supposed to pertain to them. Look at Newtie boy with his $500,000 revolving credit account at Tiffany's to buy goodies for his THIRD wife. Or how he demanded a divorce form his first wife as she lay in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery and beginning chemotherapy? Real nice man. And MSNBC thinks Ed deserves a week suspension? Ed deserves this absurd suspension when pigs grow feathers and fly.
I think it is nice that you apologized for calling her a slut. What you should have called her is what she is: an anti-feminist, right wing bigot. She also has no credentials to be a relationship expect or a political analyst, so in short she is a phony.
So what liberal commentator has Fox called a slut ? Ms. Ingraham has credentials as a bona fide journalist, something painfully lacking on MSNBC. If you weren't so brain washed you would know that, but in your case, I think a light rinse was all that was needed
great post, Yarrb
So you guys on the right are just fine with her use of the N word in an interview? Tells me just how racist the right wing is. Tell a lot about the moral fibre as well.
Ed, This does not reflect on your character! You are just a passionate, honest man speaking the truth and standing for hard working Americans! I know you are more than discouraged by the mean spirited people speaking against our President's every move. Wishing you the best and we watch you every night! Come back soon!
Ed way to show some class for your misspeak, that shows you are human and big enough to admit it was a mistake and way to ACTUALLY APOLOGIZING as like others who never really tell the person sorry.
Miss you for the week look forward to you getting back, for now enjoy that week on a nice river with a fishing pole in hand.
I was shocked when I read
I was too when I saw
Enough. Apology delivered. It was heartfelt, sincere, and more than sufficient. This suspension, voluntary or otherwise, is OVERKILL. He made ONE mistake. Point made now give it a rest.
And it wasn't even on his TV show. It was on his radio program, which he owns.
And, it was clear that Ed meant "whore". As in "corporate whore" or "right wing whore". He misused the "s" word. Anyone who's spent five minutes listening to Ed knows that he does not even THINK like that. Laura Ingram is a vile individual who trades in harming the weak and vulnerable (Joplin, MO victims). She definitely whores herself, as does EVERYONE on Fox, to their corporate bosses, big Pharma, big oil, and Wall Street. Is she a s**t? I don't know and neither does Ed, and that's NOT WHAT HE MEANT. HE MISSPOKE!!!
I dont know if she is a slut? but she certainly is a putz
A Slut in politics is someone who sells themselves out, not for sex favors, but for power and money.
A Talk show slut is someone that basically taking talking points from an extreme right master like Roger Ailes, and uses you as a talking pit bull, attacking wildly and ferociously.
This could be a male or a female. Does that describe Laura Ingraham? Rush limbaugh? Well, you decide.
Why in the world would MSNBC stick up for a to the death enemy at FOX?
I think the mananagement at MSNBC needs to be in closer touch with the real viewers and listeners, and not pay so much attention to these conservative political hacks that have their ear.
Great perspective, I hope this spreads...
Ricky, you have to be fall down dizzy or drunk to spin that. I heard the clip, he in no way meant it the way you spun it, he knows it, and so does everyone else......except you. Once you sober up or stop spinning I hope you see that too.
I grew up in politics, have worked on more campaigns than I'd like to admit, I have never heard the term slut in any non-sexual context. I have heard experts in the legal field who will testify falsely for pay referred to as whores. It is a non-sexual reference related to their willingness to sell their professional integrity. But I have never heard slut used in politics or law to mean someone who sells their integrity. And even though the term "whore" is common in the legal field, no attorney with half a brain would refer to a sleazy hired gun who is female as a whore in a public setting. Even though the term is common in the legal field, common sense would dictate.
Ed's supporter's who can't simply acknowledge Ed was completely out of line, and deserves this sanction, are doing the same thing as people on the right wing who make excuses for the behavior of people they like!
Sorry Eric,
The preface is "Talk show" not the term Slut.
The kindred term is "Political Whore," which has been used in DC politics forever.
Political Whore n. A politician or person who plays to the current whim to curry favor and votes.
Talk show slut n. A controversial radio or television personality, that often bends the truth or lies in order to satify their core audience.
Do most of the FOX people behave in the fashion of bending the truth, or cooking up lies, like "Obama is a muslim" or "Obama is not a citizen". or lying about the health care bill and smearing the name. Shameless. I have heard Laura do this MANY TIMES, as well as Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh. So if the shoe fits!
Would I call an employee on the carpet for something that flimsy? NO.
Would I fire a person for alleged sexual harassment? Well, then take a look at Bill O'Reilly. The alleged antics with an intern are shameless, and are all over the internet! Bill apologized on the air. Bill was NOT fired. The legend lives on.
Are these terms coarse language? Yes.
However, I hear references to body functions, excretory, flatulence, and so forth in TV shows. Flatulence and excretory jokes are very common in children's TV shows and movies.
Eric, you want to make the world a nicer place? Accept Ed's apology. He has a heck of a lot more character than anything on the fox channel.
Rick,
Where are you getting this definition? I have never heard slut used in reference to talk show hosts, or in political circles, and it has only been in the last decade, where I have heard people refer to a male who sleeps around as a "male slut".
Slut and whore are not interchangeable! Look them up in the dictionary. Slut is defined as: "1 chiefly Brit: a slovenly woman 2: a promiscuous woman; especially:prostitute" Whore is defined as: "1: a woman who engages in sexual acts for money: prostitute; also a promiscuous or immoral woman 2: a male who engages in sexual acts for money 3: a venal or unscrupulous person." (venal meaning capable of being bought or obtained for money, open to corrupt influence & unscrupulous is one without principals) Slut refers only to women and involves sexual mores, a whore can be either gender, and is not limited to sexual promiscuity!
People do use the term a media whore, or in the legal community an expert who will sells his credibility and testifies falsely is referred to as a whore. The use of whore in these context is not only not sexual, but like the sexual definition of whore, the third definition is also gender neutral.
Don't make excuses for Ed Schultz' conduct! He called a repugnant vile woman a slut, twice on his radio show. Slut only has a sexual definition, and applies to women only. It doesn't matter what others have done, or do, or how unpleasant Ingraham is, there is no excuse for Ed's conduct!
All the posts contending it is OK to call a women a slut are offensive, especially from people who should know better!
There is the Unisex term Slut that refers to someone who is generally capable of warping and distoring the truth to their needs, and attitudes that can be bought or influenced easily.
Then there is the sexual connotation.
By your definition, should we consider someone who is gay to be happy?
or does gay mean homosexual?
Laura is a big girl with a tart tongue that has done her fair share of sending out messages of hate and distortion. Do I think less of her for doing these mean spirited attacks? Yes!
Did ED mean to call her a "slut" in the classic sense. That is crazy talk! Of course not.
The energy and hype in the political realm is going to get nastier as time goes on. So if your ears are not tuned into this type of hyperbole, then you may want to consider NPR.
I love NPR, and I do think you are on to something, few people who enjoy listening to NPR enjoy Ed's show, but that is a different matter.
I asked for a source that slut is used in political terms, and your response was: "There is the Unisex term Slut that refers to someone who is generally capable of warping and distorting the truth to their needs, and attitudes that can be bought or influenced easily." Ok that isn't a source. My definitions came from a source, Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary 11th Edition.
Repeating a claim that a word means something other than its literal definition, after being asked for a source, instead of providing an actual source only reaffirms you have no actual source for your claim.
The word Whore has a sexual meaning that applies to men and women, and a non sexual meaning, according to Websters. Your definition of slut would come under the 3rd definition of whore. However slut only has a sexual meaning, and even though many people today will say someone is a "male slut" (referring to their promiscuity) according to the dictionary definition the term only applies to women. Even though people use whore and slut interchangeably they aren't the same word, but given the first definition of whore deals with a women and sexual conduct it wouldn't be wise to call a women a whore on the radio, even if you are using the 3rd definition.
The dictionary definition of gay includes the original definition of being happy, merry, being a bright color, as well as being homosexual. So while I would not say I had a gay time at a party, because most people my age don't use gay to mean happy/merry any more. If my elderly aunt talked about the gay time she had at bridge night, I wouldn't wonder about what happened.
Either come up with an actual source, some dictionary that defines slut as unisex, and in a manner other than promiscuous, or some article written about the changing use of the word slut, but don't just repeat your unsupported claim that Ed meant some other definition of slut.
And if you heard Ed back when he was one of Clinton's biggest detractors, and was all over Clinton because of Lewinsky, I think you might realize Ed doesn't like Ingraham, and called her a slut as a school yard slur, not because he was using some new definition of the word!!!
I specifically remember the hourly ongoing gender attacks agaisnt Hillary when she was running in 2008. Thugs on the right were even more vitriolic in a very sexist manner than usually reserved for Dem candidates. The comments made against HRC were misogynistic and cruel. Men from either party were making derogatory comments about her hair, her clothes, her hormones as a female, her intelligence, her motives, compared her the first wife at probate of a deceased exhusband, referred to her as a nag to take out the garbage, etc. It went on and on ad nauseum. When MEN in general start apologizing to all women, but especially to HRC supporters in 2008, THEN you right ringers can start demanding apologies from people on the left. And not one second before that happens. Ed wasn't on MSNBC in those days, or Rachel until later, but all the rest of the males hosts were around. Why hasn't MSNBC forced Chris Matthews and the rest of the male hosts to apologize and suspended each of them for a week? It makes more sense for them to apologize to their viewing audience before they start apologizing to GOP extemist right wingers. How about it MSNBC?
You're right LindainTX . It's as if everything is OK unless you use a certain few words. That is not sensible - it's the 21st century, and they pay more attention to a word than to a message. That is wrong.
Fox gets by because as vicious as they are, they don't use certain words - there are about seven of them - everything else is apparently A-OK, no matter how vile, vicious or false. That is just wrong.
Now this is about HRC? Sure it's done on the right and no excuses should be made for it, same here. Ed was wrong....period. The people who said nasty things about HRC were too, but this is about Ed.
Since don't listen to the Ed show on radio I have no idea what was said; however, I hope that his apology will be excepted and Ed will return to his show immediately. I am a reletively new viewer to MSNBC . I can not tell you how refdreshing it was to finally find a show that articulated my values, issues and attitudes. Finally a coujter balance to Fox New Network! Please MSNBC work this out and return ED to his show.
Ed you're great, and a better man than anyone on Fox News. We will miss and I hope you come back really soon. I don't think what you said was wrong, because these those people say things that are far worse. But I understand that we as Progressives must try to set and example and not stoop to their level. Taking responsibility for your actions and taking this unpaid time off shows everyone that you really are the man we all know you to be. I'm proud of you and your show and again please come back soon we need you to keep up the fight.
