These are the stories the staff of The Ed Show are keeping an eye on ...
- Koch Industries told 50,000 how to vote in a letter distributed before the November elections.
- Wow, these CEOs get paid how much ... while they screw who??
- 84% of Americans oppose Ryan's Medicare plan.
- It’s one year after the BP oil spill, but Congress still hasn’t passed any oil spill legislation.

Many citizens have 'voters remorse' when they supported Obama/Biden in 2008 due to the lack of leadership and poor decisions made by these leaders to get the economy back on track and create jobs. Bush and Clinton didn't do a stellar job either. The "spin machines" are working over time to down play the unemployment numbers, inflation and pending crisis for social security and medicare. Americans from all political 'walks of life' agree the situation is much worse than the politicians in Washington DC say it is, and now demand an open and honest discussion on how we prevent a major economic crisis of epic proportions that will destroy the poor and struggling middle class. ED and his team attempt to manipulate your anger and fear, and play 'class warfare' games vs. telling you the truth so you and your family can prepare for the upcoming crisis that we all see heading out way - now not later. The Progressives know that most Americans do not understand politics and economics, so they oversimplify and use rhetoric that plucks at your heart strings. Inflation will continue to raises the prices of goods and services.
I have to believe that all citizens regardless of party - because both parties have acted irresponsible over the past few decades - understand that we all must prepare for a financial tsunami that will impact our quality of life. We can either ignore the signs, bury our heads in the sand, and "hope" the 'changes' don't destroy us, or be the strong Americans we are - recognize the crisis - and come together (poor, middle class and rich) to save our Republic. We know we have both a spending and a revenue problem. Can the very rich - those making over $2M a year pay more taxes, sure. Can the middle class work through a set of 'reforms' to save these social programs in crisis, sure. Can we ensure the poor and most vulnerable among us continue to have a 'safety net' while America passes through this tsunami, absolutely. Once we start to demonize each other, its hard to walk back from the brink as one nation. Remember, the truth has no political agenda. Question what you read and hear, and don't depend on one source for your information. Life is too complex to watch it through a single straw - broaden your perspectives. The economic crisis is going to hit us hard and we need to stick together. Watch MSNBC, CNN, FOX and the BBC - get different perspectives.
Mike excellent,
I don't watch CNN though. Prior to 4PM MSNBC brings reasonable disagreement to the table( I attempt to be conservative, but do lean right). After 4PM is when it starts to go down hill. By the time they get to Ed I just laugh. Ed ought to be grateful to Fox News, he couldn't do a show with out them. Yes, I know about Beck and that Ed is the worst dubber/clipper what ever the tech term is.
Mike: What a spin you posted. The U.S. was in a deep recession brought on by the spending of the GOP, google it. Two wars that Bush/Cheney started, never finished, but made a fortune for themselves and their friends. Left this country in almost total ruin. And you want what? when? President Obama has not had a day of peace. Amen. You should be thankful McCain/Palin are not at the helm. We would have bombs dropping on the Mideast countries and bombs exploding in our country. Get real, stop looking for dribbles and take a close look at how much and how far our President Obama has taken us. I'm not into that God thing but I believe we have been blessed.
earthgirl, I enjoy reading responses from hypocrits as yourself. "I'm not into that God thing, but I believe we have been blessed, and you say, Amen." LOL! I also enjoy reading how Progressives attempt to revise history, such as the 9/11 attacks by radical Islam, which was preceeded by their attacks against American embassies in Africa and the World Trade Center in 1993 under Clinton, followed by our 'response' by going to war in Afghanistan. You must be a TRUTHER, aka 'wacko'. Get real. Obama has done nothing for the poor and middle class besides increasing our deficit, national debt, inflation, unemployment, war with Libya, didn't close GITMO, and kept our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's interesting to see you 'spin' when the facts don't back up your rhetoric. Obama had zero executive experience and admitted he was not prepared to be President in 2006. We would have been much better off with McCain/Palin. The only person who is happy for Obama, is Jimmy Carter, because Obama makes him look like a strong President. America has never looked weaker in the eyes of the world. Here's another piece of truth: Clinton did not leave Bush a budget surplus as the Progressives would have you think. All he did was pay down on the deficit by stealing from the Social Security Trust Fund.
I believe it was Reagan that raided SSI to balance the budget
Punish the Greedy, not the needy
Since many fans of ED don't do research to learn other perspectives based on the truth and continue to push a socialist agenda, I will help you out and provide you a few links that explains who the Lenin "useful idiots" are and why they are a danger to our Republic. See if you meet the description:

Right on, Mike. Intended Factual Statements. Who do you think you are? Sen. Kyl? You Tube? Square Pants Sponge Bob knows better.
I guess the Progressive intellectual elite has spoken, LOL! I see you watch and rely on information from "Sponge Bob Square Pants". That explains a lot! Right on, earthgirl.
Ed and producers,
Guys, I love that you are using more graphical representations to explain the political and economic situation in the states right now. But, you've gotta start putting up real numbers when it pertains to your graphs. Example: In tonight's graph (combination of bar and 2 line graphs) showing CEO salary in relation to the share of middle class national income and union membership rate, specific numbers were applied to CEO salary and a timeline indicating when those measurements were made. However, Ed mentioned that there was a downward trend in middle class income and union membership over the same period but a qualified understanding of what percentage that was or any real numbers that may indicate its degree of change were excluded. As a scientist, it is discouraging to see this in presentations because there is no context to what information is being provided. There is a seemingly old adage which says that one can make a curved line appear straight depending on how you shape the axes. I am aware of numbers that indicate that this change in middle class income share and union membership has been pretty dramatic, over the past 40 years; but, other viewers might not be. Please, apply some numbers so that the information can be evaluated accurately by your audience.
Thomas, welcome to "Progressive Logic" where data is always taken out of context and twisted to suit the ideology of the far left. ED thinks he is a master at propaganda, but when intelligent people (vs. the sleeping sheep) begin to examine the data behind the phoney statistics, you quickly realize something is not quite right. But realize 90% of the people on EDs forum have no clue to begin with - so, they're all impressed with EDs 'knowledge'. Seriously, do you think ED is going to "apply some real numbers so that the information can be evaluated accurately by your audience?" If he does that, he may lose his point and have to admit the Republicans were right. Remember, the old saying, "Liars figure, and figures lie"
Mike: Ed is not standing in front of a chalkboard, eraser, chalk and pointer in hand, wearing dark rimmed professorship glasses pretending to know something. You have our Ed mixed up with the show you're usually watching with what's his name.
earthgirl. I see you couldn't defend ED on the misinformation he provided in his graphs, which was predictable. ED counts on manipulating the 'feeble' minded that don't have a clue how the real world works. Once you leave home or get out of school and have to work for a living without a safety net, you'll begin to understand. Perhaps ED should watch Beck to see how you actually use references and sources to back up ones claims and commentary vs. being the hack ED is.
Mike, please stop whining, the more you do it the more ignorant you sound.
Mike 22030...What was that you said about demonizing eachother. Sounds like you're leading the pack.
Whats in Ed's Head.....obviously NOT MUCH ! I'm wondering if he is really that simple, or is the fact that MSNBC (see GE) sold it's soul to Obama and lost any credibility to have an intelligent discussion. There is ample evidence to prove that despite TRILLIONS in spending that the social programs Liberals promote do nothing but make people dependent and unhealthy, but if your an elitist from Harvard.....you can feel better about yourself !
Mike22030
You are a complete moron
