Regarding the administrators that the michigan governor is sending out to take over these towns and cities, please have your staff do a Google search for the term "Gauleiter". Wikipedia describes them very well, and I believe you will see a very scary similarity.

Ed i watch your show and love it, can you please remind American people and President that we need to tax oil companies andalso which will then help anyone in United States including rich people from raising their taxes simple as that. we need to reform the health care for senators also, have them get same treatment that average person does, stop giving senators discounts we need to turn this to tea party supporting senators.
Regarding Social Security: Sure, the Baby Boomers are starting to retire and will be expecting their Social Security checks. And rightly so. These same Baby Boomers have worked for the past 50 years and paid their Social Security taxes. It seems that the massive amounts of Baby Boomer workers should equal the massive amounts of Baby Boomer retirees (minus those who have died before retirement). Thus, it should not create a great strain on Social Security funds. Wrong! Not because of the Baby Boomers, but because the Federal Government has "borrowed" the money put there by taxpayers for their retirement. (In the not-too-distant past, might I say.) How much? 17.9% of 13.5 trillion dollars. My calculator doesn't go that high. This, perhaps, explains why some people would like to destroy Social Security. That's one way to get out of paying this debt.
You should write Bill Clinton a letter and have him explain why he used the social security trust fund to reduce the deficit in the mid-90s. The Democrats are notorious for spending monies from the social security trust fund (or is that the 'slush' fund) to support their 'special interests' and pet projects. Check the history.
ED when you list all the Republican Gov and their Budgets the public will find the common theme. Tax the Elderly, Disabled, Poor and the Middle Class and transfer any Budget cuts to the Rich and Corporations.

Mike, Obama has been trying to clean up the BIG mess Bush gave to the American people. It takes more than 2 years to do that. But the Repubs have showed who they really are by this Ryan plan of disaster for the elderly, poor, sick and disabled and another tax cut for the wealthy. The recent discussions in Wisconsin and Ohio has been about PUBLIC unions, not PRIVATE unions - I hope you understand the distinct difference between the two. President FDR (Progressive Democrat) disagreed with the concept of government funded PUBLIC unions for the reasons I stated in a few other discussion forums. Once you read the 3 reasons why it's a bad idea, then I think you'll agree, even as a member of a private union. Can you provide details on how the Republicans are making it 'harder for people to register to vote"? Have you actually read the Paul Ryan proposed budget plan on his website? I have and would be happy to show you the 'fear mongering' provided by the left vs. offering real reform and solutions to fix these social progams that are going bankrupt and are a major burden on middle class tax payers.

What has Obama done for the poor and middle class as we watch the prices of energy and food go up (inflation), jobs go down and we get tied into another war in the Middle East (Libya)? Why is GITMO still open? Why are our troops still in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Why did Bush and his administration give so many tax cuts to people and still do to rich, why did gas go up during his administration, why so many jobs were lost, why did he didnt get Osama instead sending our troops to iraq for no reason and getting them killed.
